Just exactly what I thought when seeing the interior. Have been sailing on a few Swan yachts and this felt like a Nautor Swan interior. Very beautiful. All the best and fair winds from Sweden.
Congratulations you must be on cloud nine with a new cat like that. Love it. The new hybrid engines are the only way to go these days for sure. That kitchen is amazing.
If I could suggest one small item, I put 5 micron water filters inline on our water collection system, you'll be amazed at what gets stopped entering the tanks, especially the insect life, say Hi to Seb;)
Thanks, good tip! We have on both sides pre-filters (rope material?) after the water collection. I need to investigate what that is exactly. We also have a filter after the main pump and a UV tap with filter. We like clean water for sure.
For the cat. this is at the top of my list for sail boats, for the price and cost ANTARES puts out one of the very best boats on the water. That rain collection system you have there is that part of the new standard equipment or an add on, last I heard it was optional equipment.
@SV Lonna a friend has one of the older models a 44 so I was going off the equipment list for that one. Thanks for the info, I have been thinking about getting a 44G
Excellent video. I have to say that so many things needing to be accessed through the hatches would be a dealbreaker for me-I don’t like going outside to troubleshoot in big weather any more than I have to, and my husband is simply too big to fit through hatches (he’s 6’4” with big shoulders). That aside, it’s obviously a well built catamaran 👌⛵️
Thank you! I am 6’4” as well and the hatches are wide and therefore easy assessable. You don’t need to be in the battery area because everything is remote controlled via blue tooth. The work shop is the other space with an hatch and that is for me a “nice to have” feature. They made handy steps / ladder to access the utility spaces. In general you have easy access to everything and the fact that the engines are place inside the hull instead of the sugar scoop sold the Antares to me. Nothing worse than working on an engine in rough see on the far aft of your boat.
@@svLonna thank you for replying,i watched few of your videos and i saw that you got that crack on point of Lonna,is that damage because of poor quality or your fault?
If you mean the bow sprit crack, that was combination of bad luck and weather. In general we are very impressed by the workmanship and the quality delivered by Antares.
@@svLonna you are so lovely and thank you for answering my questions…..the last one you can answer in your spare time,so i don’t spend your precious time on Lonna….what would you say is your yearly maintenance on average(so it doesn’t need to be in penny’s but around thousands i would say)
@@skrbosmrdic2003 As Lonna is a brand new boat, our maintenance costs is low. for 12 month period, when rounding up, is US$ 1000. Mainly cleaning materials, (water) filters and engine maintenance (performed by Yanmar).
I partly agree and that is the reason why we have a parallel system. If the Hybrid fails, the Yanmar 3JH40 can take over instantly. The only modification on the Yanmar was the air intake cover. The standard plastic version was replaced by a stainless steel version. The Hybrid part is delivered by HybridMarine from the UK. A company in business for over 20 years. Fun fact, we had a small issue with the Yanmar during a night passage (oil filter was not tight enough screwed in) and I could use the hybrid instead. So when docking the next day we still had a port and starboard engine available to us. With our setup we have 2x 2engines to our disposal.
@@svLonna I should have known you had most issues thoughtfully sorted from your presentation in the video. I'm just nit picking. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for the explanation and cheers.
thank you for a tour of your '44. there are a lot of fancy new cats out today but i always have a soft spot in my heart for the antares.
Antares are the Swan of catamarans.
Congratulaciones, great boat!
Thank you!

A great boat design...very clean lines....better than most I have looked at.
I fully agree.
Great walkthrough. She looks beautiful! Congratulations.
Thank you!
Thank you for the tour. Smooth sailing and best wishes !
Thank you
Zooooooo mooi, trots op jullie xx
Thank you soo much!
One thing to be sure is that at sea there is no safety. Redundancy is a fundamental rule of the sea.
So many good changes you and Antares made. I love it. Congratulations!
Thanks!

The rain collection system is standard. Same as the "just in case" hand pump in the galley.

@@svLonna I do like the engines accessible from the inside-I’ve been in the sugar scoops working on the engine in rough seas and it’s no fun.
goed gedaan dank u voor ons de toer te doen
Graag gedaan
Muy bueno los cambios
¡Gracias!
Congratulations to you….!
Thanks!
Nice boat
Thank you, we enjoy it a lot!
What’s the cost of such a beautiful yacht?
Antares is very open about that. See www.antarescatamarans.com
Felicidades
¡Gracias!
price of brand new one? how much you paid to get custom built?
have a look on the Antares Catamaran website. They are very open regarding pricing. See www.antarescatamarans.com/build-your-antares-44-hybrid/

very beautiful. The only thing i dislike is the custom engine. Anything goes wrong with it, there's little to be done..

Sure some nasty water

You pay for what you get. It’s good quality.
Very nice boat!
