You can ask your accommodation or nearby shops to help you book one, as the village is small and drivers don’t operate on a fixed schedule. Sometimes, the driver may wait for a few more passengers before setting off (minimum pax to cover operating costs, I guess). The cost per passenger typically ranges from 30-50 THB, depending on the distance within the village or nearby areas. Make sure to confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. Hi there! I took about 20 minutes to walk up to Rabeing Cafe from the Mae Kampong car park. I think there are Song Teaws (taxis) available for hire if you don’t want to walk. But I still think walking was more fun, especially if you go during the winter season when the weather is cooler. I hope you make a trip to Mae Kampong when you get to travel to Chiang Mai in 2024. Looks beautiful. Hoping to go to Chiang Mai next year and will do a day trip to Mae Kampong. How long was the walk up to the cafe?
