Glad you support Ice Yarns, which are much more affordable than many yarn brands. I usually give up when patterns call for ultra-expensive yarns. Just not within my budget.
if anyone's wondering how much yarn to order, i made a size S using almost 2 full balls of ice yarn cotton jumbo. Had a small bit left at the end. hope this helps, happy crocheting :)
I'm AuDHD and don't always have the bandwidth to follow a video tutorial, which sucks because a lot of good patterns are in video only, so I really appreciate having the video as a reference but being able to work off a written pattern as well. Much appreciation.
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate this tutorial. You made something that seemed impossible so easy. I got it right immediately for someone who started crocheting a week ago.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I tried them with some super chunky I got cheap somewhere last year and they’re great. I’m planning on making these for my sons wives and partners. Anyone in the UK you can find this yarn in The Range
Thank you for showing us the most perfect slipper. I have ordered my yarn ready to make a pair. Thank you for all of your hard work and the video . I ❤them x
I made them using tshirt yarn...took me the whole winter but that's just because I took an hour here and an hour there over many weeks. I love how comfy they are. Mine are not identical but they are so cute. Thank you so much for the tutorial 💜💜💜
I looked at the yarn thinking i could do this as a simple project and how is the shipping 17$??? Its yarn! Im ordering 3 and the total is 11$! Shipping should never be more than the order!
I know this is an older video but wanted to leave a comment in case anybody wanted to simply make these slippers with normal yarn (rather than the jumbo plush ice yarn). I used four strands of DK yarn (meant for approx. 3-4 mm crochet hook) held together for this project. I modified the pattern a bit like so to compensate for the different yarn (American crochet terms). If you are interested in trying this, I would recommend becoming very familiar with the original tutorial before attempting these modifications, as many of the instructions still apply. Sole motif: R1: change the pattern so that each single crochet in the first cycle of the sole (after chaining) becomes a double crochet, the half double crochets become a half triple crochet (US type), and the double crochets become triple crochets. Follow the same amount of stitches into each stitch of the chain as presented in the original tutorial. R2: follow the original tutorial to insert double crochets in the second cycle, but modify the amount. In the five toe stitches, insert 3 double crochets in each stitch from the previous row (this will ensure that the sole remains flat). For the stitch one before these five toe stitches, and the one after, insert 2 double crochets. For the three heel stitches, insert two double crochets in each of the stitches from the previous row. Follow the original tutorial and create two soles for each foot, double them up and stitch them together like indicated. Shoe motif: follow the original tutorial but make these slight adjustments at each row. R1: 20sc starting at the side of the toe as indicated in the tutorial. Slip stitch until heel and 10sc around the heel. R2: Toe: 7sc, 1hdc, 4 dc2t, 3sc. Slipstitch around the rest, including the heel. R3: Toe: 7sc, 1hdc, 3 dc2t, 2sc. Heel: 2sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. I found that the 2dct2 that was indicated in the tutorial to make the heel snug was not necessary and looked weird with regular yarn (so I changed it to 2dc). R4: Toe: 5sc, 1dc3t, 2sc. Slipstitch around the rest, including the heel. R5: Toe: 1sc2t, 4sc, 1sc2t. Slipstitch around the rest, including the heel. R6: 3sc, 4 sc2t. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I will try to answer but I am still a beginner :-)
Well... I have a problem... I am knitting those for my partner... he is wearing 9,5 men shoe... I did the L one... waaaayyyyyy too long. There I ripped off everything and did the medium... still waaayyyyy to long... now I will try the S one. Is it normal? As I thought that woman foot is smaller that a man... I'm a bit confused...
Hey everyone! If you search up t shirt yarn I think that could be used as a substitute. It’s a good way to use old t shirts that you don’t wear anymore. I haven’t tried it but I remember seeing people make yarn out out of tshirts
these are so cute!!!! Thank you for sharing I wanted to know how many skeins of this yarn did you use for your size ??? I would like to order the yarn online so I am trying to get an estimate of how many I may need
How many balls of yarn required? These are cute. I am now crocheting slippers. I just finished a few sweaters. I need the slippers to work on for now. They are a short project. Love the close up on screen. I wear glasses for tv and reading and i dont need them with your video Lol
these look awesome! I am a beginner but i could follow what you are doing ... except that i have big feet so would not know how to make them in a much larger size (Men's 12)
@@ShelyMB i actually ended up purchasing bernat maker big and I had enough with a ball to make 2 plus a little “plate” holder for my pins and stuff about the circumference of my hand and half an inch high and I still had yarn after ❤️
These are too cute. Dod you know you can use silicone in the tube that you use for around sinks and bathtubs on the bottom to form a waterproof bottom and to keep the yarn from getting dirty. And you van wear them outside too.
Scusa ma perché non hai fatto vedere passo per passo fino alla fine della suola già non ce la traduzione non ho capito niente mi dispiace non potere fare queste pantofole
This needed SOOOO much yarn 😢 also kind of unclear directions in some cases. Its also soooo narrow and tiny. I apprently have giants feet in comparison so even the ”xl” doesnt fit even close 😂
I love these! Is it possible to make a pair for purchase? Please say yes🥺🙏🏿 Or anyone that’s willing. I’ll pay for your time. These are different. Even change the sole color. I think these are 💰. Let’s talk
This was so incredibly hard to follow. I have been crocheting for over 25 years and the pattern makes no sense as written. I could only somehwat follow it if i watched the video. No stitch marker in the round, no sitch counts in pattern where it mattered. So confusing. After one slipper i was not doing the second. I cant believe more people arent pointing out how hard that was to follow along or read the pattern. For any beginners, know this isnt the norm in crochet. If you cant follow this or do this, its not you.
I made these using Big Twist Plush. They are the cushiest and most comfy slippers I've ever had. Thanks for sharing this pattern.
“Excellent” camera angles 😊 and “Perfect” instructions! , thank you!!
Glad you support Ice Yarns, which are much more affordable than many yarn brands. I usually give up when patterns call for ultra-expensive yarns. Just not within my budget.
I wish the shipping was cheaper. it's like $47 to get these in Canada, but those plush yarns are so cute!!
if anyone's wondering how much yarn to order, i made a size S using almost 2 full balls of ice yarn cotton jumbo. Had a small bit left at the end. hope this helps, happy crocheting :)
This is an awesome pattern. But, it's always nice to have a stitch count at the end of every row on the written pattern .

This is a great pattern and such a well made tutorial! Thank you for sharing! I'm really keen to try it out
I love this! Thank you for Sharing, now I don’t have to buy any slippers. Now, the tricky part is to find the right color. ❤
Very fun, i was able to knock out a pair with 2 skeins! XS w/ 10mmm. i bought 8 skeins becuz i had no idea and to make a few pair :)

I made some for my boyfriend with the Bernat blanket yarn!! they came out more like socks but he loves them 😊 thanks for the great tutorial!
I have some of this is my stash I was wondering how many skeins did it take you and for what size please ???
I was JUST wondering how this would work with the Bernat blanket yarn!

do you have an estimate of how much tshirt yarn you needed? I want to make them out of some old sweatpant yarn but scared I will run out. thanks!!
@@anna-lenaball6909 I used one whole spagoyarn's spaghetti tshirt yarn, the big one which is 650gr. I had a little left over.
Love this pattern, wish that they sold this yarn material in our country NZ..
OOOOH MY GOOOOOD🥺🥺🥺
How can it be THAT MUCH beautiful. I loooved it🥺🥺
Definitely gonna make it right now

Yes, I agree shipping is ridiculous. I’ll definitely be looking for an alternative yarn.

These look comfy can’t wait to make these!!
Thank you for sharing this pattern. Can you let me know how many balls I need for size 8
What cute slippers! Wondering why there is no way to save this to my TH-cam library. All I see is the like/dislike and share icons.
these are so cute!!!! Thank you for sharing I wanted to know how many skeins of this yarn did you use for your size ??? I would like to order the yarn online so I am trying to get an estimate of how many I may need
Can i use a plush yarn instead? Like hobbiis honey bunny yarn?
How many skeins did you use? I'm wondering how much to buy. Love the slippers, they're so cute.
I need to get the pattern for sizes 7 and up both men and women...where might I do that!
For the fluffy inside what needle size you used? Do I follow the same pattern for the sole?

How many yards do you need for a size 7/8? Will the T-shirt yarn be the same thickness?
Would the pattern still work the same if I use thinner yarn?
Szép ez a cipő, és biztos jó meleg is. Érdekelne, hogy mekkora méret, és mennyi fonal kell hozzá? 😊
My sole came out a lot more narrow than yours, how can I fix that?
these look awesome! I am a beginner but i could follow what you are doing ... except that i have big feet so would not know how to make them in a much larger size (Men's 12)
That is also what I need for my husband. I am also a biginner
if you find a tutorial for big feet let me know, lol ... i will do the same@@veronicajohnson1683
Awesome! I love them ❤
If that is bottom of slipper what do you do about the bigger holes ?
I‘m in a little stress! How many Jumbos are needed? I can‘t find this Info anywhere. 😭
When do i stop if i want thr slipper to have an open back?
Love the slippers where can we get the yarn did not see the link
Can you use the Burnet blanket yarn for this?
Not GameCircle but can I get a copy of pattern for these slippers for size 12 long feet?
What to do if i don't want the back/heel? Thanks
So cute!
Ooo I want a pair. Do you sell them?
Can anyone tell me how many of the ice yarn rolls you would have to buy to make the small size? :) Want to make sure I purchase enough!
Id like to know too 😔😔💔

Love this tip! Great idea ❤
Could this pattern work with other yarn types, specifically the Yarnspirations Bernat Blanket yarn?
Can you use normal yarn and chain
If someone has never done chrochet is this a bad idea for a first project?
I would suggest beginners learn Granny Square first😊
What would be considered a size 7?
How much yarn was needed in total?
Hi! The sizes are totally confusing. I have a 26.2 cm long foot. Which size should I work with? Please, somebody, answer my question!
The Ice Yarn link isn’t working
Love this! Can you tell us how much yarn you used for a size so I know how much to buy! Thanks so much 😍
Each slipper took 1 skein 😊 bigger sizes might go over a little bit so I would get 3 to be safe
@@TheSnugglery What is the weight of the skein?
@@TheSnugglery Oh I see! Thank you :) Ignore my question
How many skiens or yards are needed for a size 7/8?
On round one how many dc in the last st (turning st)
I don't understand the written instructions it doesn't show the frost round like on the vi6
can you use bernat maker home dec
Teşekkürler 🇹🇷❤Thank you❤🏵️🌸🌺
I only used the beginning portion of this tutorial to make the sole after that I gave up lol
That's cause it was very hard to follow without start of row and stitch counts. It's not you....
How to make these in size mens 12?
Muy lindos slippers❤
🇬🇧 US size 6.5 = UK size 4. US size 7.5 = UK size 5. US size 8.5 = UK size 6. US size 9 = UK size 6 ½
How would I go about making these in bulky size bernat maker big ? 🙃😭
GameCircle 8 get the crochet patterm gor these sent to me by email?
It Just Works (tm) 🤣
Ok, so you won't get the joke if you don't know where it came from. At least in this case, it's an accurate assessment.

My concern is that the sole is slippery & makes them a FALL RISK for the wearer!!!CAUTION!!!
Seems like it would be uncomfortable to walk on crochet twists.
That's prwhy she also made a fuzzy inside soul 😊
Cute slipper but too many different stitches for me. I like it more simple and straight forward.
How i love i could at least i could make my own b coz here in the philippines, yarn are expensive.
To difficult for me.. 😢 Looks nothing like yours. Maybe because I make them much bigger
Not really a beginner friendly tutorial, was hard to keep track… But a Nice pattern thats for sure
Not liking the heel for either pattern
it is most amusing that all the yarn suggested (and the best suggested substitutes ) are discontinued. hmmmmmmmm
