I am not big on eating insects so I'll pass on that. I did get to try the pizza cheese curd taco and really liked it. With pepperoni and sausage, it was like a nice pizza pocket 🤣
Great video Bill! The number one reason I go to the fair is for the food! 😂 Sadly it used to be the rides but unfortunately I became too large, height/width/and weight 😅 It was my love of food that undid me!!
So hot! Remember you can bring a small back pack and unopened water. I brought an insulated water bottle and a few bottles of water to help keep me hydrated. Have fun and let me know what you think of those deep fried lemonade bites!
I just realized as Im watching from Chicago that even though the Bears have been so depressing for so long; at least were not stuck with those Awful Packer colors! 😂😂😂
Hey Bill, if you ever get the chance, check out LDs BBQ in East Troy. By far the best BBQ in the state. Amazing brisket, pulled pork and Texas style ribs. BBQ sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Banana pudding on S tier. So worth the drive. Great showcase on the state fair food as well, def gonna have to try those Lemonade bites.
It's usually the case unfortunately. I also find that if you have to sit at a table and use a fork and knife, is it really fair food? This could be a fun conversation! 🤣
Most of the times that my sister and I go it’s on a weekend so an open table is very difficult to find and on top of it we usually have about 8-10 people with us. But yeah I agree a lot of the food that I try is fork/knife sit down food.
For me, it’s not about messy or not, because I think that can add a fun element. It’s about the same handful of vendors rolling out a rearranged sweet and savory combo. Why are we not tapping into our large African American or Latino, Asian, middle eastern populations to create interesting, new flavors at the fair. We just had Top Chef in Wisconsin, so clearly there’s a foodie culture here, but again, not tapped into
@@mikedavis3264 It's a great point and I feel more people need to be vocal about it for change. The perception of what fair food should be may need to be changed. Right now it's perceived as fried, sweet, unhealthy food but is that what's representative of Wisconsin as a whole or just perpetuating a stereotype? Can vendors who serve up something different survive in that environment? Lots of questions for sure.
I should amend my comment…as all fair foods generally taste fantastic. And, if you look, you can find some interesting items. This is more about the “featured” and/or sporkie items
