    One of the reasons the war isn't moving on the Russians side is they in no hurry whereas Ukraine is desperate to show it's western donors that their weapons and money is achieving results. As for Russian losses the Americans can't have any idea how many have been lost. It's stupid to say that Russia throws away troops. No army can afford to do that now. It's not like the first world war when million of troops were involved.

    Ok just to be clear the plan was for Ukraine to hold out until western sanction causes Russia to collapse (which it has't) from within, NO country , or analyst not even NATO , expected Ukraine to beat Russia militarily , Russia military is designed for WW2 style warfare and has a big population and strong arms industry . Russia only struggled initially because it didn't prepare for a long war, it thought Ukraine wouldn't put up a fight , it seems both sides underestimated themselves going into this. But now Russia has adapted and its playing the long game of sitting tight and grinding down Ukraine with its artillery advantage and drones .

      @marviwilson1853 It's clear where you get your news then. If you only listen to one side of the propaganda, you are not getting the facts. That applies to both sides btw. Just for context, Ukraine went on a summer offensive and took one small village, Robotyne. Also crossedthe river to krinke. I'd call that a stalemate considering the length of the front and the expectation was to retake crimea. At this point they were heavily armed with all the goodies the west supplied. Now they've gone through a lot of men, most of the equipment and they have very little ammo. They are slowly losing ground across numerous areas of the front. Krinke is all but lost, Avdiivka is falling as we speak. Russia isn't going to or trying to blitz Ukraine. They're slowly and methodically taking ground. Russia can fight a war of attrition, Ukraine cannot unfortunately. I'm not a Russia supporter, and I don't like Putin, but don't rely on western msm if you want to know the facts.

      Bear in mind the Ukrainian GDP is 183 billions in 2023 (lost around 100 billion before the war) Depends on tax rate, you are talking about 30% to 40% (if we go by Western Tax rate) of those 183 billions are taxed by the government, which mean around 60 billion of Ukrainian asset were put into Military

    Syrsky and Zaluzhny rotted 500 thousand Ukrainian military in the summer of 2023. Zelensky gave the order to recruit another 500 thousand cannon fodder... so they take everyone, disabled people, drug addicts, old people. Lots of videos of how they are caught on the streets... and then for meat in the trenches to the front line. Bakhmut, Soledar, now Avdeevka.... Speed is not important to the Russians. The Russians in 2013 did not have Crimea and 4 new regions, but now they do.

  • @joshuapaul2022

    Stalemate is just a euphemism for Ukraine debacle. Zelenskyy is running out of cannon fodder. He fired his top general ( who paid at least lip service to common sense) and replaced him with his minion (Politico quotes Ukrainian soldiers calling him a butcher in an article "Zaluzhny is out, the ‘butcher’ is in") that wasted lives of close to 100 000 Ukrainian troops trying to hold Bakhmut when all escape routes were under Russian fire control and then launching wave after wave of suicidal counterattacks for months trying and failing to recapture the city. Even NYT noticed in desperation: "Bakhmut has become something of an obsession for Mr. Zelensky and his military leaders. " Western allies are running out of ammo. Zelenskyy offensive proved to be an epic unmitigated disaster. Russians rejected any freeze of the conflict. Putin spokesperson said quite bluntly that all Russian goals had to be met (denazification, demilitarization and a neutral status of Ukraine). At this point unconditional surrender is the only practical solution for Ukraine. Hitler's Germany also refused to admit defeat until Hitler killed himself, then Keitel signed unconditional surrender.

    Russia outnumber Ukraine in artillery by 5-1. Only 20% of Ukraines artillery are modern western types and the rest are old soviet types, and they are short of ammo. With its missile forces and aircraft its a 10-1 firepower advantage for Russia. So if you think Russia has lost more men and equipment than Ukraine, you are insane.

    • @Hathur
      @Hathur 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know absolutely nothing. I am of Russian ancestry, I have family in Russia (and Ukraine). My relatives in Russia have suffered horrific losses of sons and so has everyone they know. There are tens of thousands of mothers quietly "protesting" across Russia almost every day because it takes MONTHS for them to get any word of when / how their boys died. Russia is drastically hiding the number of dead from the public, but what they can't hide are the sheer number of mothers and wives who have missing sons and husbands demanding daily for news on their loved ones.
      Ukraine's losses are also mind-boggling and not sustainable simply because their population is so much smaller. But I have cousins in Russia who were conscripted and forced to fight (many are now wounded and out of the war). They've told me that it was not uncommon for their forces to lose 3 to 4 men for every Ukrainian soldier they killed. Many of the Ukrainians are better trained than the Russian conscripts and prisoners and have they higher motivation to fight (they are fighting for their home, Russians are being forced to fight for something many of then don't even believe in and they just want out of the fighting so they don't fight hard like Ukrainians do).
      That said, Russia will still win the numbers game even if Ukraine is killing 2 or 3 or 4 Russians for every 1 Ukrainian loss. Russia just has way more people and way more industry to keep making munitions. There is no conventional victory for Ukraine possible - the only thing they can realistically hope for is the same thing that happened to the Americans in Vietnam.. the people got tired of the war and forced their government to bring their soldiers home. Ukraine is hoping to exhaust Russia and force them to quit just like the Americans were forced to quit Vietnam.

    This is typical no mention of locations where Russia re-took territory and lack of progress by Ukrainians only because less ammunition than Russia. Ukraine's problems are more than that lack of volunteers, lack of air superiority, lack of generals to bring victory that is why General Zaluzhyni was sacked. Ukraine's military command is in crisis with no clear strategum for Victory other than attrition, 2023 a year of failed Ukrainian offensives. They need to have a decent victory to keep aid levels up by end of 2024. Putin's Tucker Carlson interview is an attempt to undermine support for Ukraine towards end of 2024.

      West cannot give everything to them because it is still not guaranteed that they can turn the tide of war, not to mention there is another front in the Middle East and possibly on South America and the Taiwan strait. Russian occupied territories are one of the most, if not the most heavily defended borders in the world even more than the Korean DMZ. US republicans are finally back to their senses to focus on domestic issues like in Texas compared to a stalemate war thousands of miles away from home. I believe they have given as much as they can but the war is starting to lose its popularity due to the economic crisis it causes on the West like inflation.
