Maybe in five to seven years, given no major hurricanes between then, I might be interested. While I applaud MSC for the acquisition and development of the Ocean Cay Island, it will be a while for the vegetation to mature so shade will be available along the beautiful coves created.

Almost exactly what I was going to post. This could be amazing when the vegetation grows out, but I sure don’t want to see what happen when the first big hurricane hits.

This island has so much potential. Give it 4-6 years and it will be one of the top private cruise islands.
Like the ships at MSC, this is very beautifully and a place you just have to come back to, once you have tried it/been there.

Thanks for the tour, especially at night. I've been to Ocean Cay, and it's a beautiful place to spend a day. We did not stay until dark, but it was a great day anyway.

    Looks so relaxing 🏖

That's the exact word I had for it. A very relaxing setting just about everywhere you go in the island.

This looks much nicer than other cruise lines’ islands. This puts NCL’s island to shame! I think I need to consider an MSC cruise!

I disagree. I've been to both. NCL's have been around for a while, well run, well organized. MSC's is too new, need time to grow, not enough activities, etc.

The cruise I'm on only is staying until 6pm, which I don't understand if this place is that close to Miami. We're scheduled in at 7:00 am Sunday, but if they leave at 6pm, they'll get into Miami Saturday night.

the one who traveled to the private island of royal caribean at the beginning will realize it was the same as this island of msc, without swimming pools, without water parks, perhaps later this island will also develop it

It looks O Cay, but does not seem to have all the facilities of an NCL island I had been on . If you just want to sit on a beach it looks fine. Like the illuminated lighthouse.

It really is, even with the palm trees still relatively young. Can't wait to see the place in another 5 or 6 years too.

You can tell this was an almost barren plot of sand and they tried hard to make it look tropical. Hopefully it fills out and becomes more lush but right now it’s a little stark.

Is it me, or is there no pool? At least there should be one for Yacht Club members. Will be nice to visit as MSC is my favorite cruise line, but RCL's island seems more fun.

No pool. It's all beach. Yacht Club has it's own beach area.

Yeah like Royal Caribbean’s Coco Cay

It's fairly minimalist in that regard as the company tried to preserve the natural beauty of the island, but I do believe more family-friendly activities will be added down the road. Just don't expect any 100-foot water slides or anything like that.

It really needs to grow up. It looks so barren and stark when compared to other cruise lines' private islands.

Considering every tree had to be brought in, I think they've done a great job, but you're right that it's still a bit sparse. Once everything grows in a little and all the signage is added I'm sure it will help with all that.

@@CruiseFever oh, I agree - I look forward to seeing what it looks like in a few years!
