@@suspiciouschicken How does that contradict what I said at all? Besides, it doesn't even explain why game developers think it only "looks badass" on SAS but no one else.
SAS soldiers were shown with the wrong weapons as well. They did not use rifles as they were way to bulky for this operation and might cause hostage casualities due to overpenetration. Besides some pump action shotguns (Remington 870, intended to use for blowing off door hinges), most of them had H&K MP5A3 machine pistols and some had MP5K (short version) or MP5SD (suppressed version) machine pistols in lack of enough MP5A3s needed to equip all of the soldiers. As sidearm they were carrying Browning HP pistols. Referring to the Simple History Channel video that was published today, which seems to be a bit mpre accurate.
You can call them what you want : elite instruments, scalpel, precision strikers. In reality, these men are trained killers. And they do so with extreme prejudice. If you cant deal with that fact and the aftermath of their actions or find this too brutal, Dont use them. Get dead hostages instead... because thats surely better.
Ha2kon he says a hostage is a staunch supporter of the Iranian revolution, and supported the Shah. They confused the ayatollah with the shah. Clearly not doing enough research of politics at the time
Yeah, we call these people 'tossers'. The video's incorrect in calling this a 'stained victory' - it's often held up as an example of the elite skills and professionalism of the single best special forces unit on the planet. There's a REASON the SAS are the model on which nearly all other special forces are based.

There is no behavior of the terrorist, that I am aware of though, that would allow an officer to execute him upon surrendering. That would be excessive use of force.

"Over excess use of force"
Sooooo, killing a hostage isnt an excess use of force?
That´s not how it works
@@MrDomoco How does it work?
@@ccg8658 There are no regulations for terrorist conduct, therefore there can not be excessive use of force for terrorists since their existence is illegal anyway. What does exists tho are regulations for first responders on how to behave when confronting them. This may include killing them sure and that would be a correct use of force (or appropriate if you will). There is no behavior of the terrorist, that I am aware of though, that would allow an officer to execute him upon surrendering. That would be excessive use of force.
I had a feeling that you meant to justify over excessive use of force by pointing out the violence of the other side. I simply meant to say, that that´s not how it works and that there is no situation in which the police would be allowed to act against the regulations that govern their conduct.
But the sas soldiers weren't breaking any laws.
Flayo so in a nutshell, they need to show their better then the terrorists morally
