If you pause at just the right moment at 1:52, you can see some of Bond's other answers to the questions on the form. Some of them are pretty standard, e.g. he's rarely anxious or scared, but the one that interested me the most is that he only scored himself a 2 on the question asking if he ever feels regretful. I initially thought it'd be higher since we saw Bond regret a fair bit surrounding the death of Vesper Lynn back in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, but then I realized it was a nice little touch to show how he's grown and moved on as a character since then.
Every answer that he gives is ambiguous, to any question where the answer is not factual. If Bond went middle or high on regret we'd be talking about a killer with a conscience, something that doesn't pass basic training and certainly does not have a license to kill because emotion is the death of duty. Just a film tho, Im pretty sure Daniel Craig has regrets about steroids lol.
When Craig says “I kill people” he really sells it. So casual, with no flinch. It’s as if I’m watching an interviewer ask a killer that question for real.

Oof the way he says "I kill people" sounds soooo real. Talking to my veteran family members always elicits the same kind of response... A kind of quick and subtly confrontational way of broaching the issue. Somewhat ashamed but matter of fact. Terrifying. Such a great actor.
I don't like that line because it's not at all accurate. Bond is a spy, not an assassin (he tells us so in at least one other movie). Why on earth roll up to a swanky health resort with you trousers tucked into your socks and announce that you're a killer ? It's absurd.
I know some people say they liked Vesper Lynd the best, but I really loved Dr. Madeline Swann as a love interest for Bond. Her character was so interesting in an understated, mysterious way. Plus her stubbornness and unwillingness to do things his way.
It might not necessarily be the best Bond movie but it blows my mind when people say that Spectre is worse than Die another day, quantum of solace or diamonds are forever.. It is among the weaker films but it by far is not the weakest
It only gets so much hate because it's the lastest entry that was a bit more on the weak side. In time rose-tinted nostalgia shades will work their effect, much like it did for less recent entries in the series. The takeaway is to simply enjoy the things you enjoy, not bother with hate, and not have anyone else tell you what to think.
Nah, only Diamonds Are Forever is worst than this. At least QOS and DAD is entertaining. All the action scenes in this movie except the train fight are lame.
Barthotuber it is a matter of personal preference and it is subjective. For instance, I like all of the James Bond movies with Daniel Craig and a few with Sean Connery but did not like any of the others while other people prefer the other James Bond movies. In the end, it does not matter who likes one James Bond movie over the other as long as you like it.
Agree on Die Another Day and Diamonds Are Forever, but I prefer Quantum over Spectre. It definitely had its issues but at least I was never bored watching it, and even though Dominic Greene was a dull villain he still made sense. I just find what they did with Blofeld in this film far too dumb to look past.
This dialogue is why Craig is the best Bond...the closest to the one in the novels. He talks about the death of her father with a chilling non-chalance of one discussing a trivial common issue like the weather
Daniel Craig showed Bond as a real person with a lot of flaws - not like the "perfect" squeaky clean womaniser Bond that Connery, Brosnan and Dalton portrayed.
"You have ten minutes to leave the building and then I'm calling security" He just told you he kills people for a living, you'd be sending them to their deaths

I grew up with Roger Moore as Bond - always smiling and charming. It was nice seeing this serious, gritty Daniel Craig

RM was a lot more of a joke. Like the pasteurized processed cheese spread and the margarine at the time. Hollywood product.
@@robertthomas5906 Yeah. For Your Eyes Only was good though. Good story, awesome ski chase
@@toddekramer The films have always evolved as much as the producers have felt they needed to ... the Bourne films made them realise they needed a seismic change after Die Another Day
From those of us who grew up with the original, I pity you, but am glad you seem to have found peace without knowing what you've missed.
Just sitting there, doing nothing, Craig enthuses everything great about Bond and his character
I think it's that awesome jacket.
He is brilliant in this scene. Such a great bond. He’ll be missed.
FOR 35 YEARS . SINCE SEATTLE ? IM GLAD HE WATCHED OUT FOR ME. EVERY ONE KNOWS THAT I LOVE HIM. THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE.

How my parents met
What hasn't changed is his drinking.
What hasn't changed is the way he kills people when he has to.
What hasn't changed is the same way bond looks at Madeline.
Her: “Hope you don’t mind, the view can be a bit distracting...”
Him: “Hadn’t even noticed”

i don't think we will get a better bond than craig.
Biggest success of bond is he can keep his cool infront of super beautiful women. That is a super power 🔥🔥
yes, that's the most unrealistic part of all the Bond-movies..
"I kill people small world eh" a classic quote and only daniel craig could deliver that line eith perfection. Daniel craig is my favorite James bond.

Bond: Well that's not the sort of thing that looks good on a form.

As Daniel Craig's role as Bond comes to an end perhaps in the future if they ever do a movie on Putin he is a natural with very little makeup change.
Except he doesn't speak russian.
You may not realize how it degrades a movie when one of the major role is supposed to be a native of a foreign speaking country like you but speaks with a thick accent. They tend to do it less frequently those days but still when I hear a french character speaking french with a british or american accent my ears are bleeding.
@@alainvielle6983 That's normal, most peoples ears bleed when they hear someone speaking french.
@@jameselliott8541 spare me the usual stereotypes. not all French are in the same basket. If you want to spit on the grave of Lafayette you're free to do so, but I'm afraid you would be the one self-deprecating himself. Btw I'm both American and French and I live in the US, not quite (yet) the "hero of two worlds" but I'm working on it.
@@alainvielle6983 I don't think him not speaking russian would be much of a barrier if the filmmakers decided to make it almost entirely in English, much like the series Chernobyl is.
@@mohammadhamza2901 Yes I agree, and they could even have him speak butchered russian in public speeches to match the lips and then overdub him with the voice of the real Putin.

@Cliven Longsight Timothy Dalton’s portrayal definitely was the closest to him in the books.

I still watch her responses from time to time.
its quite incredible to think this was their first meeting and would end up falling in love with each other.
Interesting that she will be calling security to remove someone from the building who just said his occupation is Killing People.
I think Spectre is actually a much better movie than most give it credit for
It’s solid but near the end it gets crazy and not in a good way.
I completely agree. It has really grown on me tremendously since I first saw it.
It's the dumbest Bond movie by far, literally nothing in it makes any sense
Watching this after seeing “No Time To Die” gives me a whole new perspective on Bond and Swan’s interaction here
Imo, the best Bond film ever.
daniel craig is awsome as james bond , my favorite bond of all time
The best bond ever
Because he elegantly showed the human nature of the character unlike his ancestors

Absolutely correct
Thank you for correction
Léa Seydoux looks incredible beautiful :)
Funniest part hands down-her letting the screen down on him at the end😂
I know some people say they liked Vesper Lynd the best, but I really loved Dr. Madeline Swann as a love interest for Bond. Her character was so interesting in an understated, mysterious way. Plus her stubbornness and unwillingness to do things his way.
“Did you know your parents?”
“Nope. They died.”
“What do you want out of life?”
“Bonds”
It is worse than DAD and DAF, because at least that movie had some fun stuff in it to enjoy
"How much alcohol do you consume?"
[Pulls away from drinking a martini before answering.]
This dialogue is why Craig is the best Bond...the closest to the one in the novels. He talks about the death of her father with a chilling non-chalance of one discussing a trivial common issue like the weather
The only way he could better that would be if a tornado was the cause.
Now after watching NTTD this scene makes a lot more sense.
I love Madeleine and Bond
Madeleine + Bond & Bond + Tracy will always be the best Bond couples
Damn she’s absolutely gorgeous and an incredible actress! So happy she’ll be in the next one!!
"Small world eh?"
Bond channeling his inner bit of Canadian manniersm?
Had so much fun with these movies. Saw “No time to die” twice in the theater.
Damn,I am going to miss Daniel Craig as James Bond so much.
Daniel Craig showed Bond as a real person with a lot of flaws - not like the "perfect" squeaky clean womaniser Bond that Connery, Brosnan and Dalton portrayed.
"You have ten minutes to leave the building and then I'm calling security"
