Awesome channel! Are there certain plugins that you use on every track that you could recommend? People always talk about different types of compressors for different styles of music & certain ones that you use on drums for example. Many people also say that stock FL ones aren't fantastic for dnb use, so I'm unsure where to go with it
For this track I only had a soft clipper, I do my mastering in another project after the song is finished and I'm 100% done with the mix. I will do a mastering tutorial soon, but I always change my mastering process
I've noticed that the automation in fl studio is slightly delayed, I always start the side chain 1/4 step prior to the kick. does this not happen for you ?
I struggle to get a short sidechain using the peak controller, the sidechain either dips the bass out for too long or, as I shorten the release/ sustain of the sidechain , it causes distortion between the kick ans sub
@@jackkozlowski oh really? Never had that problem, you may be doing it slightly different to how i do it? For the kick, i duck the low end and the boxy part which is usually 300hz but i make the cut really narrow on the eq, track spacer does the same thing but i have to open a few instances to get the same results...

No I've never had an issue with my automations being delayed.
