    Moors View must be one of, if not, the best N gauge layouts out there presently. I ❤ it.

      Truly is a stunning layout! They change the period halfway through the day, which adds to the interest. Hopefully more to come

    A few of us watched a video on the Lyncombe Vale at my model railway club the other night. I recognised some of the features you are modelling at home Callum. One of our members has all the locomotives as you do.

      Nice! Still yet to get around to doing any work on it of late

    very interesting video , thank you.
    I am in Australia , still learning about British locos.
    There is something rather unusual at 4:44 timeline , what is it?
    It is green , diesel , co-co-co-co 8 wheels on each side?
    Could someone help with identifying this loco?
    Warm regards from Western Australia
    jack

      Cheers Jack. Glad you enjoyed the show. Really was an excellent event. Believe Ron beat to answering your question. Hope it was help!

    Hello JACK the Diesel wheel arrangement is i Co Co i and only two classes existed Google British Railways Diesel D200 . This is a Class 40 and quite popular. The other one is loco No 10201, there was only three of them built by Bulleid’s Southern Region but did not last long, you can also google as above but include No10203 as I did. Hope you get the info you want. Regards from Ron 🚂🚂👍😀

    Quick question re 9:50 - how did a 61xx escape from London???

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. 61XXs were not restricted to London suburban service. They were wide spread around Western region, often seen working on local branchlines and, even on the Cambrian coast.

      Really is an excellent layout, very new to the circuit too

    More beautiful modeling. Again, you've got the foreground to background transition down to an art. That winter module makes you feel cold looking at the overall scene...

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  ปีที่แล้ว

      Many thanks indeed! Does take a fair amount of editing to get these video out, but hopefully it's all worth it. Oh yes, totally agree there! Was quite warm in the venue towards the end of the day, and must admit standing by the layout does give the feel of it being cooler!

    A Lovely selection of Model Railway Layouts as per usual Callum 🙂🚂🚂🚂 P.s. Are you sure your not using old clips from previous videos Callum - @ 15:55 Moors View has come up again!!! 😀

    Don't get me wrong I like the winter layouts with the snow but what's the point when your stock/road vehicles don't have any snow build up like there would be

    • @SDJR7F88
      @SDJR7F88  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looking at pictures it was not always the case. Snow would of been blow-off in transit

    Nice participation, nicely detailed models.... someday... maybe... modeling will come back to America.... if the kids will lay down their two dimensional screens and get to work building dexterity skills.

    There’s something with a very similar name in the Templecombe area, is there not?!!

  • @olisipocity

    Although the background is exquisite, the trains them selfs look too to new or tidy. Some weathering would have in order for the "reality effect".

    A brilliant video and some brilliant layouts. But some loco’s with no CREWS ! Edit them out please.

    • @IndianaNorthWestern
      @IndianaNorthWestern ปีที่แล้ว

      WAAAAAH WAAAAAAH WAAAAAH ok fine go buy the figures, paint them, and install them. Not everyone wants a crew in the cab, and it's not your model so respectfully, shut up.
      The real issue is the models without any lubrication, squeaking and screeching as they move. That's a reoccurring thing with british modelers, a beautiful model, beautiful scenery, but absolutely no lubrication anywhere of any amount, causing the motor to be obscenely loud, axles to squeak, and bearings to absolutely disintegrate.

    • @Jimyjames73
      @Jimyjames73 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly not all Locos come with Crews - for instance roughly about 85% of my Locos at home don't have crews!!! 😐🚂🚂🚂

    • @RonCooper-nl4pn
      @RonCooper-nl4pn ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Did you seriously not know that you can buy your own and fit them yourself ! I have over 60 models and ALL have crews fitted by myself.

    • @Jimyjames73
      @Jimyjames73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RonCooper-nl4pn Hiya - Yes I did know that, but it just would be nice if the Crew came with the Loco instead of going out to buy them that's all!!! 😉🚂🚂🚂
