I had the same problem with my GM-8-11. repositioned the worm gear and now it sounds better. The problem was with the RA. The DEC was fine. Called High Point Scientific and they acted like I was crazy. Losmandy offered to send out a new motor, but the unwonted motor was whisper quiet. Nice to see other videos of this.
