Very nice tutorial for newbies, one thing that attracted my attention was the use of these subtitles, which are very helpful to people that can't really understand English that good, so they can read and maybe translate it or something like that, keep it up bro.
Adding subtitles takes less than an hour and it's actually pretty fun, plus as you say some people find it useful so it's something I will keep doing for sure! Thanks for the feedback and the praise! :)
@paintcan176 I'm not quite sure what you're taking about. I know there are a few brush based weapon racks in HL2, perhaps the ones you're talking about are as well? If so you'll need to create your own rack using brushes, or decompile the level and look at how they created the rack. (I have a tutorial on decompiling maps)
@1bam18 Did you make sure to click the apply button before going to the outputs tab to make sure that it's the correct entity? If you did and still have the problem, then I don't know what's going on, you'll have to try asking on some forums or something.
@ZPS0 You can add as many as you want! when you've finished the scene like in this tutorial you should even be able to just copy and paste the police to add more.
If you want him to rappel and then blow up a wall you can use this tutorial for the rappel part, my animations tutorial to make it look like he's doing something with the wall, my explosions tutorial to make the wall explode. To trigger each event you will need to use the input/output system. For example, when you want him to run up to the wall and play that animation, make an output on your combine: OnHitGround -> animationName -> PlayAnimation. Send me a PM if you need any help. @Gmanmovies09 You can use an ai_relationship entity to change the relationship between the player and the combine to make them neutral. I have made a tutorial on this subject called "NPC Relationships".
Where can i find the entity for that combine weapons rack seen in HL2? It can hold 4 weapons and i was wondering if you could tell me where to find it. (its the same one that Alyx get the shotgun from in EP1) thanks
@Soulslayerzx They're there to make sure the NPC knows how to move around the map. But as I say in the video it's not necessary to add in this case since the map is just a small room.

Does anything happen when you double-click it (so long since I used Hammer)? You should select it and press ctrl + T to tie it to an entity. Make sure you're set to "Groups" in the select menu in the top right or it won't work either.

you should try rappel animations using scripted sequance
It's really simple, just scripted sequences where they move somewere after triggered.

Hi, I'm Killer_man1996 from ModDB... and i want to make the captions with the text please so i'm ready to work on it....
For me, when combine attack me, they do no damage, and i can kill them in one hit, anywhere and the weapon does not matter.
probably one of your gmod mods.
Maybe the player entity doesn't has the hev suit equiped , this may the reason that you get no damage
