thanks for the video, allowing us to share your repair journey , I like the wood support beam , I thought of that as well , now I know it works, I have a fiesta mk 6 , well I'd rust you to work on my car ,
I don’t know what it would cost a year ago or where are you are, but I’m in San Diego and the standard replacement clutch set from LUK is over $700 plus tax without a wholesale license.
Of course we’re amateurs lol we are a couple of electrical guys. The last time I took a car to the shop they charged me over 7k and I walked away with a non running car
What tool did you guys use on the top bolt by the exhaust housing on the turbo? That's the bolt they say not to fully remove, but I haven't been able to find anything that I can fit there to take it out.
Does anyone know if it is the same clutch and manual transmission on a 2013 ford fusion 6speed? I believe they are ib6 transmission as well as the fiesta but I'm having a heck of a time figuring it out.. I don't want to buy something labeled for a fiesta and have it not fit.... there is literally nothing for a manual fusion out there!
That would probably be the move. Once I have to do that I think I’d drop the whole cradle together since we have a lift. Let me know how it goes for you!
@@jerayracing I took it from the top, wasn't bad at all pretty simple. Since the motor was dead I figured pull it all and do the clutch and everything while it was out
@columbiariverdetailing1943 yea good idea. I assume you already have a clutch I after a year of racing and driving in it, I highly recommend the whoosh stage 3 clutch
At 7:58 the half shaft is removed..You don't show how. It is CRITICAL not to pull on the hub end, you WILL pull the CV joint out into its boot. (This will then require the bearings to be removed (carefully) and then reseated.Greasy and messy and will require more tools to put new metal bands on) Instead, pry the end of the shaft where the spline sits in the case with a pry bar and if you need to pull then pull on the other side of the rubber boot!
This video isn’t exactly a how to video, but more of us doing it. The car is running great with no issues. Thanks for the insight though. Thanks for watching!
Good job you guys.👍👍👍
Thanks jaybo!
thanks for doing this really gives us an inside look at a super tough job thats already hard enough and you guys documenting the whole thing is absurd
No problem! Just figured since we are doing it anyways, might as well get video. Thanks for watching!

Haha thanks! It’s not a terribly hard job just need some patience lol. Wish we had the real support beam but it worked. Thanks for watching

Sweet!!
Wow! What a job! That's probably where I call U-Pull-It and take my lumps! Lol. Good job Fellas!
Thanks! It wasn’t easy but if I want to race it, I need to know how it goes together. Or it’s a $1000 job at a shop…
Good job!
Brother, the guys are doing the job in an improvised and dangerous way. This service is very amateur and could even cause an accident 🤑🤑🤑
Of course we’re amateurs lol we are a couple of electrical guys. The last time I took a car to the shop they charged me over 7k and I walked away with a non running car
great job guys
Thanks brotha
At 5:09, where did you guys hook up your chain to on the engine when you went to support it?
We pulled a bolt out don’t remember off the top of my head, then just put in a longer one

If I’m being honest, I really don’t remember. I can watch this video back and try to remember.
good job!!
Thanks!
If only we took the top mount completely apart.
Sorry about dropping it on you.🤣😂

1.6l turbo ecotec
I’m not sure. I owed one of those too. I do know the gear ratios are different. That kind of info is so hard to find
a rough estimate for a clutch slave cylinder replacement?$$
I don’t know. I think I heard it costs 1-3k to replace the clutch so probably in that range.
Pulling motor and trans togther since im replacing the motor

@@jerayracing that's funny because that is what I have coming.
Good to hear it comes out the top easy enough.

Would you say diy job for someone
For sure, but lifts do make things easier.
@@jerayracing thx so much mine went 8 months ago but haven’t had the courage to attempt
You got it! Definitely helps to have another person too
