Husband here....I enjoy your show....etc.....repeat.....gettin a flat top soon!......man-o-man......yumsterific!...... I save all my bacon grease in a tin can.....use it for just about anything that needs fryin.
Neal & Amy... Cool Dalmation, I bet the dog helps clean up any food that accidently dropped on the deck. I had a Dalmation when I was a kid, he was a good dog.
@@TheFlatTopKing Make sure you get the ROASTED Green Chile... It only happens once a year!!!! That is why people buy CASES of it (I don't) because we can get it in the stores here in New Mexico... They might sell it by the Quart/Pint... The ROASTED Hatch Green Chile is the BEST... Even our Sonic has it on their Green Chile Cheese Burgers! You must have grilled onions with this too... ... Okay... Now I'm hungry again!!! LOL
I just ate....and now I'm hungry again. I always have to try a couple times before I get it right, but I think it's pronounced my-ard....some one correct me please if I am wrong
Nope you are right. What I want to say and what comes out is way off. HAHAHA I cant speak half the english dictionary much less with an east tennessee accent. Thanks for helping out.
@@TheFlatTopKing Yeah, I notice you tripping over big words from time to time.....just thought that was a Navy thing not a Tennessee thing.....Sorry, couldn't resist the shot across the bow to a military brother...just call me retired "Chair Force". Keep cooking and providing great vids brother!!
I'm impressed Charcoal King and what a great video. The celebration of 1,000 subscribers, a cookie cake to enjoy and man that was one heck of a bacon burger. Love the JD onions; I'm going to try that for sure. Hard to beat that L&P sauce - one of my favorite go to. Quick question: I remember seeing you guys back the 'haze grey and underway' days using bug juice to clean the griddle top. What did that do and why? Thanks again for a great recipe and a fun to watch video.
Now that’s the perfect burger! Dang that looks delicious with those carmelized onions with some JD....home run brother! Congratulations on the 1K subscribers! (Hope my comment gets through, having some problems where they post)
Jay thank the lord. I promise I haven’t forgotten about. For some reason i can see some of your post but can’t comment. TH-cam was flagging them as inappropriate. 👎 I just responded without reading your comment. Yes. Keep them coming. I can read them. If your on Instagram look me up at thecharcoalking.
Congrats on the 1000th subscribers. You don't like the burger press so which one would you get. And I see you didn't use a bacon press either is that by choice. If you did get one which one. New to flat top grilling thanks for your time.
Hey Bruce. Thanks. Bud! Good questions. NO clue on which one I would buy. In my mind I think I would like one that works similar to a tortilla press. Not even sure its out there but haven't looked around. I just figured once the bad one breaks I would look around. As far as the bacon press no I don't have one. So far I either haven't needed one or have used something else to get the job done. Honestly I am not a big fan of gadgets, I try to stay simple. You couldn't tell by my culinary collection but I just haven't bought one yet. Between me and you its hard to steer one in a direction without first hand knowledge. Thats my honest opinion anyways. That being said I would probably go with a dual purpose Bacon/Hamburger press. Something that can do both and completely flat on the botttom.
I say we could do without the lettuce, tomato and pickle. It takes away from the onion. I say cheese onion and bacon is all that hamburger needs. Cook on my friend.
What an episode!! Bodacious burgers, millennial munchie celebration cake, talkin' Frenchy stuff with flambe' flameout, and almost getting maillard right ;). BTW, does Amy know Worcestershire sauce is made from anchovies? I know she's a bit picky......:)
Bob real quick. Suggestions on American Wagyu Ribeyes both Black and Gold label. 7/10 and 9/10 rating. I think im going to do what I always do. Steak seasoning, hot grill, sear on both sides, move off heat until 120. Kissed with some hickory.
Love this channel, new subscriber and already made a few of your recipes. I find I only turn to your channel. Thanks for all the tips, so very helpful, as I am a beginner to flat top cooking. Nice, I like to put the bacon on the burger before the cheese, so the cheese holds it down.. ;)

Thank you 2X. Hope all is well.
When you pull the cheeseburgers off the grill put them between the buns. That way your cheese does not stick to the other burgers on your platter

What is the fat content of the ground beef and do you use the same with all your types of burgers?
I typically use 80/20 but sometimes other things get mixed in...
Could you prepare some more sides?
