Great video ! An another option is to keep the CAB V/S at 0 during descent until the aircraft altitude reaches the cabin altitude (E.g 7000ft) , then V/S switch fully up and we can start the approach from there with a gentle rate of descent . For the descent, it's better to ask the ATC for a continuous descent to avoid big variation of air entering the cabin during level-offs.
Thanks for the feedback. Its quite tricky to maintain the cabin at a constant altitude whilst the aircraft is descending due to the density of the air changing, requiring constant adjustments of the OFV. Perhaps one to try when next in the Sim!

Hello Captain, thanks for thé video. Could you please confirm that the target cab press V/S ( 500 / 300 ft ) is independant from the aircraft rate of descent or climb. I mean can you descent at 2000 ft / min with the aircraft for the approach And keep 300 ft / min with the cab v/s descent. Thank you
Yes The requirement is for the cabin. Be careful however of the AC descent rate so as not to overtake the cabin (neg diff)
