When you ask for the pictures, just elaborate to them a little more like 'can you send a few pictures so i can see what im working with or have enough time on that particular day to finish the job"

Same, the key is make money at your own time without killing yourself. I was a mechanic for 20 years and having to work on 10 to 13 cars a day non stop made me hate being a mechanic. I love Detailing and now that I work for myself last thing I want is to hate it too coz Im stressed. Make $200 to $500 a day and call it blessed asking for more becomes greed.

Out here in NC man business is booming, but over booking is something we struggle with but we are figuring it all out! Bout to come up on 1 year in business!
Man that last part of advice about asking for a review on the spot really answered my frustration and now I understand why 1 out 10 people would actually leave a review for me. I gotta ask on the spot
I would like to bump into Reyes and a few of the other detail TH-camrs and work for them for a week to show them how much they can get done with wicked speed. Me being mobile for some time I got lightning speed. Wash mitts are an important part of the process.
I can’t even begin to tell u guys how important number 1 is (especially with older clients) I talked for 10+ minutes with an older lady and her husband called me to detail his other car that day as well

Man I'm doing in person quotes. I know it might seem like a waste of time if they end up saying no or a waste of gas but man you can lose so many people by asking for pictures or just like you said, going in blind is terrible
In the beginning to get a build up of the 5 star reviews did you ever offer a discount in exchange for a 5 star review? Granted you shouldn't normally discount like that but I'd consider it an investment in future business as we all know the more 5 stars and the faster the more business comes in so if you're just starting might be wise?
Do you get paid upfront or after job and if they dont pay up or try and play it off like you said a lower number lets say you have verbal agreement for 350 but then at the end they say oh i thought you said 250 thats all i have what actions do you take ????
You have been such a motivation to me my brother. I had so many excuses why l couldn't get started. You will be happy to know I'm getting started got 2 regulars already and looking to keep my business growing

Saw your clip with the waxing with a polisher, just wanted to let you know the Advanced Auto has a $100ish cordless one that works great for waxing
As far as waxing I'm faster by hand than most people can use a machine. You only want to do the polishing and compound with a buffer/polisher.
