I liked the email between Babs and Jason about wanting to join Dick and Tim at Pride, and I figured Tim would be the bi one like in the comics, but I had never seen the actual dialogue in-game. Tim being my favorite Robin and me also being queer, this makes me so unbelievably happy. After seeing Dick’s Blüdhaven mug in his side story, imagining them both going to Pride together just makes me so happy.
I love how supportive they all are, and it's super wholesome! I would also like to see a squel where they go to a pride porade and support so many people there it would also feel a bit safer, I guess❤
This does make me curious on where they all stand Most sexualities for them aren't really released, only a few DC characters have their sexualities known to my knowledge (Tim Drake and John Constantine both confirmed bisexual in the comics) But Dick showing up to Pride as Nightwing makes me curious on his sexuality. My headcanon is he's Pan, along with Jason, but genuinely curious.
He has a Blüdhaven mug with the bi flag on it in one of his side stories and in an email chain with Babs about an interview that he did, she mentions he flirted with the interviewer and if you read between the lines you can guess that he is a man. I think, in this game at least, he is also queer
I honestly don't like Tim and Bernard relationship. Not only because I first heard about Bernard about 6 months ago. Mainly because I've been shipping Tim with someone else since 2016.
So for Nightwing, if no flag as a cape, then maybe a modified version of the Nightwing suit with PRIDE color scheme of choice? Dick is bi, right? So maybe a pink suit with blue bird logo, and purple highlights?
Tim is Bi, Dick is just his supportive brother. That’s why he made the idea to dress up as their hero counter-parts to show their support for the community. People tend to forget you don’t have to be gay to support other gay people. Nightwing is and has always been for the people.
I'm just so glad this game gets these characters so right. These days it's hard to see these characters portrayed right. Cough cough titans couch cough dcu.
@@DarthGardens Yeah, as in, "Bi bi, Stephanie! Tim's into dudes now, because we wanna pander to the audience!" Literally, we already have Obsidian and Harper Row, who don't have their own comic series yet, but instead DC Comics decides, "Y'know how we can 'represent'? Let's forcefully make Alan Scott and Tim Drake (who both already have decades of history being straight) part of the LGBT community!"
bro i’m crying i didn’t know these were real lines!!!!! tim is so important to me and i’m so happy his queerness is being portrayed outside of the comics!!!!!!!
I did not like what they did with Tim's character here... And I don't mean the bisexuality part (I'm bi after all), I mean as far as making him more of the typical nerd. Like it almost feels like this is a de-powered Peter Parker who took up the Robin mantle... that also happens to bi. I mean in general, as much as I like the family aspect of this story, forcing the character to follow typical 4 person tropes like Rise of TMNT did imo is a huge subtraction.
He always was a bit of a nerd, but yeah. A Tim Drake who's not a constantly stressed workaholic detective fueled purely by coffee and stubbornness is barely Tim Drake.
@TheZacula , actually, from what I heard, the coffee part is exaggerated. I heard that all it took was one comic for it to become the widespread misconception of Tim's character. Not nearly as damaging to his reputation as the alleged stalking and abusive parents misconception, but it gets blown out of proportion, I'd say..
Tim- im bi. Batfamily- we don't care 😂 I love the acceptance! No question no debate just hey bring him by so we can meet and try not to get killed cause its gonna be super awkward to explain 😂
This frustrats me because during the events of Arkham Knight Barbra lost her Dad and where's Jason during all that oh right he was busy being the arkham knight
- GK Tim: Is there, by any chance, a Bernard in your universe? - Arkham Tim: Who the f**ck is Bernard? - GK Tim: Our Boyfriend, of course. - Arkham Tim: WHAT!? Dude I'm not gay. - Arkham Dick: I'm confused, did I miss something? - DC: We accidentally on purpose caused another break in the space-time continuity... 🤞
I think there's a solution, though. After all, we have a massive multiverse for these characters and different iterations across different media. Arkhamverse and Young Justice Tim can be straight, Gotham Knights and Titans Tim can be bi, and welp, that's all I have to say. And I ain't taking a refund for this multiverse crossover idea. They each get their own Steph and Bernard, or both if you so believe hard enough in the power of polygamy. But regardless, there is your solution: multiverse crossover means they keep to their own..
Gotham Barbra to the bat family: GUYS!! SOMEONE BEAT JASON TO A BLOODY PULP! Arkham Jason to the bat family: lmao you guys won’t believe the encounter I had with the lamest guy posing as me XD
Good advice to go to Dick for relationship stuff. He’s been the most successful of any of the Bat fam and most of the JL. His solution for the long term was to date other heroes, but he would still give the best advice of any of them.
This has nothing to do with Tim, but I have to say it: I’m NOT a fan of Jason Todd’s design here. To me, he looks NOTHING like Jason. He’s a bit too bulky to me. What do y’all think?
He’s meant to have a similar tank build like Bruce, which he actually does. He also is meant to look like Dick, but just taller and more built where Dick has the acrobat build, but doesn’t look as much like him here.
tbh I thought it was just kind of an open yet unspoken fact about Dick everyone just already knew and accepted? like a fanon that we all decided was canon and eventually the writers did too? so we didn't really need proof or a storyline about it, he's just out here
1:25 aww Dick was a nervous wreck listening to Jay talk about superhero relationships. They want each other sooooo much. Dick was dropping hints in Jay's earshot at 3:09 as well.

Since Gotham Knights is a separate continuity, I don't have any issues with Tim Drake being gay and dating another boy. In the main comics, I hate it because Tim and Stephanie were great together, and their relationship basically evaporated off page just so Tim could date a boy instead.

I asked Dick if he had a specific type, and he leaned close then, his voice lowered to an intimate purr, his gaze for me and no one else. "People are gorgeous. All of them. Why restrict myself to an archetype when this world is full of beauty? Gorgeous, gorgeous people everywhere. Including the ranks of Gotham's Elite."
Really hate that they changed Tim’s sexuality. Nothing against lgbt, but Tim has been established as straight for DECADES. He’s already got Stephanie brown. There’s no reason for it.
the reason for this establishment was simply because everything else wasn't really allowed by publishers, authors wanted to write queer characters for a long time and just couldn't
16 year old boys don't want to date other boys, they want to hang out with them. My cousin dated women at that age before finding out he was gay as an adult. My brother's friend dated women before finding out he was bisexual as an adult. Having a 16 year old doing this is so unnatural. And let's not forget Tim was never bisexual in the first place.
Because those who did read the books knew he was straight. He had a girlfriend for decades and Bernard was his best friend. Current day comics is so bad for the environment.

Dick mentioning pride made me so happy I want him as my big brother too, also I think I might have a big brother fetish now
Man Jason gives me Moar reasons to luv this man.

I absolutely love Tim Drake before and after he came out. He’s amazing and super cool.
thank you!! literally means so much ❤️❤️
I love how supportive they all are, and it's super wholesome! I would also like to see a squel where they go to a pride porade and support so many people there it would also feel a bit safer, I guess❤

This is so heartwarming. Also I wonder if Nightwing and Robin at Pride would be good or if it would make people feel like there's a threat.
Barbara is literally my spirit animal. 😂
This does make me curious on where they all stand
Most sexualities for them aren't really released, only a few DC characters have their sexualities known to my knowledge (Tim Drake and John Constantine both confirmed bisexual in the comics)
But Dick showing up to Pride as Nightwing makes me curious on his sexuality.
@@SvanEsch123 The fact I can see Dick flirting with an interviewer is very funny. It sounds like a thing he would do.(and did in game, as you said)

That was Dick and Babs….
LGBT representation done right. Tim in this game is known to be queer, but he doesn't make that one part of gis existence his entire personality.
So for Nightwing, if no flag as a cape, then maybe a modified version of the Nightwing suit with PRIDE color scheme of choice? Dick is bi, right? So maybe a pink suit with blue bird logo, and purple highlights?
ahahaha i love the idea of a bi-coloured nightwing suit! not sure it's much use for stealthiness, but i'd love it as a costume!
He is sadly not officially bi. Though they do do a great job of making it seem that way...
@@minimi870 i'd say he is bi in that timeline or continuity.
Tim is Bi, Dick is just his supportive brother. That’s why he made the idea to dress up as their hero counter-parts to show their support for the community. People tend to forget you don’t have to be gay to support other gay people. Nightwing is and has always been for the people.
Dick is canonically straight, The only gay Robin is Tim.
Maybe. Just maybe. Gotham Knights is set in the universe that Megamind is in. Wow. Maybe Tim is dating Megamind in disguise!
I'm just so glad this game gets these characters so right. These days it's hard to see these characters portrayed right. Cough cough titans couch cough dcu.

@@DarthGardens Yeah, as in, "Bi bi, Stephanie! Tim's into dudes now, because we wanna pander to the audience!"
Literally, we already have Obsidian and Harper Row, who don't have their own comic series yet, but instead DC Comics decides, "Y'know how we can 'represent'? Let's forcefully make Alan Scott and Tim Drake (who both already have decades of history being straight) part of the LGBT community!"
“You and that last girl broke up.”
You mean Stephanie Brown, AKA Spoiler, AKA the third(ish, depending how you count) Batgirl??

@@theunknownvoidz1409 Possible. Although if I remember right, in the comics Tim started dating Bernard after breaking up with Steph off-panel.
She would also be the 4th Robin before Damian.

bro i’m crying i didn’t know these were real lines!!!!! tim is so important to me and i’m so happy his queerness is being portrayed outside of the comics!!!!!!!
Tim- im bi.
Batfamily- we don't care 😂
I love the acceptance! No question no debate just hey bring him by so we can meet and try not to get killed cause its gonna be super awkward to explain 😂
This frustrats me because during the events of Arkham Knight Barbra lost her Dad and where's Jason during all that oh right he was busy being the arkham knight
Nosy siblings being nosy. And loving siblings being loving. Bruce must be so proud of his kids. 😢😢
Could anyone help me to get there in the game? I am at level 21 and still no words from Bernard :( how does it works?
Bernard belfry dialogue happens late. He mentions dating him (second dialogue) around night 102 I think.

Good advice to go to Dick for relationship stuff. He’s been the most successful of any of the Bat fam and most of the JL. His solution for the long term was to date other heroes, but he would still give the best advice of any of them.

This has nothing to do with Tim, but I have to say it:
I’m NOT a fan of Jason Todd’s design here.

Since Gotham Knights is a separate continuity, I don't have any issues with Tim Drake being gay and dating another boy. In the main comics, I hate it because Tim and Stephanie were great together, and their relationship basically evaporated off page just so Tim could date a boy instead.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, it seems. Dick Grayson, much like the recently departed Bruce Wayne, is an irrepressible flirt. The tabloids are flush with mentions of his exploits and the gorgeous company he keeps.
