Wow such an honest intro I was really impressed with your humility and honesty more than anything in this video. That wasn’t easy at all and goes to show you never ever expect an easy plumbing job no matter how easy you assume it is going to be. Great stuff.
When you have dot and dab you should try putting the plugs in the holes and then with a screw and hammer, tap the plug through the plasterboard wall and into the hole that you have drilled into the brick behind. Add a inch to your screw length.
Your right there mate, was actually a job for a friend and they just see a new rad, asked them to watch and see some of the problems a simple job like this can throw at us
Good job. Good to see you show how you work through the problems, because that is what really happens on jobs and mainly on the so called straight forward jobs
Feel your pain man, had one of those myself and it is what it is. Yes, I’ve found some brackets welded on the rads were not at the same height and I had to reset the wall mounts. I fix the adjustable holes first, check the rad then I fix the one on the hole if that makes sense.

i think the radiator not being level is the bracket welded on the back of the radiator. had one a long time ago. So to remedy you have to lower one bracket to make up for the allowance.
Did you measure the brackets attached to the back of the rad from the top of the rad to the top of the welded back bracket? possibly one is a couple mm out. I always thought you needed a slight tilt to the bleed valve so any air would be removed before water
I did check and seemed ok, it looked sound in the end, no rad should be perfectly level but I’m using that as an excuse if I ever fit one wonky from now on 😅👍👍
Some rads especially some cheaper ones from screwfix seem to have the brackets welded onto the back of the radiator on the squiff! Proper annoying! Hi we always remove the rad top and side trim panels when checking for level as you can some time find they don’t sit totally flat and show the rad not level . But what’s the chance of to faulty levels show the same exact amount of out of level 😳.
The top covers of modern radiators are very flimsy and often get bent even in the packaging so I always take them off before I starting hanging so level goes onto the top of the radiator. Or one of the plastic supports had been knocked off!!
