When he said that my mind went to Hyrule castle, ripped from the ground floating in the air. Also with all that debris from the sky islands on the ground I'm guessing they were torn apart somehow
BotW: Hyrule castle gets overrun by malice, the ruling class is destroyed, the royal family is all but dead, and an unfathomable number of citizens get killed and mauled by semi-sentient robots. Previews of BotW2, Tears of the Kingdom: The land that was Hyrule gets literally *torn* apart creating an untold quantity of floating islands. Zeltik, Bandit and other Zelda theorists: The title must be pronounced "Tears" (crying), nothing can tear (rip-up) a kingdom! [Facepalm] Edit: I'm not saying that I'm necessarily right, and the title is pronounced 'tears' (rip-up), I truly don't know which of the two is correct. It's almost as if Nintendo went out of their way to not verbally pronounce the title to imply both possibilities are correct... Any Japanese speakers who can translate the Japanese name?
@@Mooskym in Japanese they use the word "NAMIDA" which translates to Tear (To cry) which means that when finally get the title pronounced by a Nintendo executive they will say what everyone else is saying, Tears (Cry) of the Kingdom. However i to want to believe the double entendre fits that title so well as what you just mentioned, Hyrule being torn apart. It just works too perfectly in English
I think Zelda is levitating. because her hair would be going above her head, not floating beneath her head. also, the curling isn't her hair curling upward from a fall, the curling of her hair is also shown later in the mural while she is standing. just a minor detail I noticed. I could be wrong though, maybe Nintendo didn't think about it
exactly! if she were falling, her limbs would be trailing behind her center of mass, aka above her body instead of below it. she definitely looks like she's levitating.
There is no way Nintendo or any artist worth their salt would mix up falling vs levitating this badly. Her hair (and dress) falls due to gravity, rather than lifting due to air resistance and momentum. Her limbs hanging below her center mass points to much the same. That wouldn't be a natural falling position for a conscious or unconscious person. She's clearly levitating, or else caught in some form of *upward* movement, though that seems less likely. I can't speak for the rest of the theory, but that detail about "falling" is simply incorrect.
I think zelda is levitating yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah she wants you all night your her starlight she needs you all night go on dance with her she's levitating
It definitely looks like she’s levitating, when i first saw it in the trailer it reminded me of the ritual to revive demise at the end of skyward sword, where she was levitating above the fight with ghirahim and was devoured by the imprisoned rising from below
Ok I know I commented already but: what if one of the reasons it’s darker is because you can kill Zelda..? If you don’t repair the master sword and rush to ganon in the new game, what if it penalizes you with having to make the decision to kill zelda and banish ganon from her via that method?
I could see Zelda, or Hylia, becoming corrupted by malice and you have to defeat her after Ganondorf. Along the way, you will be restoring the Master Sword (Fi) to its fomer glory with the help of the sages. The three Golden Goddesses most likely will aid Link as well and are possibly connected to the three dragons in some fashion. Maybe the glowing orb @4:55 is one of them? In the end, Link would have to kill the one he admires most while Fi would destroy her creator thus breaking the curse.
Does the sword break because Ganon harnesses the power of the one who made it? If so, can he also use this power on himself and reverse his aging? Is the hand from the trailer the hand of Hylia? If so, does this connect to Zelda's difficulty awakening her power? Questions, questions...
Link actually (iirc) made the Goddess Sword &, after being reincarnated for the first time in Skyward Sword, reforged it into the Master Sword. can't remember if the first Link made the Goddess Sword in canon or not. That might've just been that one comic. If I'm wrong about the GS that's because I don't feel like fact checking right now (in the woods, 2:30am, don't have my copy of Hyrule Historia on hand). But he *definitely* forged the Master Sword. I'm just curious if Fi inexplicably waking up & talking to Zelda has anything to do with everything, as well as that last bit! If Hylia is here, but Zelda *is* Hylia reincarnated & *also* here, is that why her power is diminished? Because she's two halves, the one left behind from sealing Ganon however many years prior, & the Zelda we see in BotW? Maybe Ganondorf is so much more powerful in BotW & TotK because *he is whole* or maybe it's time travel shenanigans. or maybe Hylia exists at all points in time simultaneously & this is normal goddess behaviour. or maybe the hand isn't Hylia & just some guy that's gonna hang out with Link. Questions, questions, all of them driving me crazy
Are we really sure that Zelda lost her powers? I mean, she thinks they may have gotten less powerful, but that's just because she couldn't hear Fi in the Master Sword. No other Zelda (other than SS of course) ever showed signs of talking to Fi, but had their powers. I always thought Fi appeared to Zelda just so she could help Link, and Zelda came to a quick conclusion in her inexperience that not hearing her meant no powers, since she didn't hear her before. TL;DR, does Zelda not hearing Fi really mean her powers are gone?
Here's a theory to think about; we see that the Master Sword was damaged, even more so than in BotW. It's been eaten away by something, likely Malice. What if, due to it being that damaged and needs to be repaired, Demise was somehow unleashed? I've never beaten Skyward Sword, but after watching retrospectives/reviews/Zelda theories that include the footage, he was sealed away into the sword, right? So it's possible that we're not JUST fighting Ganondorf this time around, but Demise as well (or just Demise period). That would also make a bit more sense considering we're also potentially dealing with Hylia herself!
Not only was it mentioned that Demise was sealed within the Master Sword, but also that his body was supposed to decay during the sealing. Sure sounds exactly like the decayed body, with clearly Demise's long hair, we've been seeing this entire time. Perhaps a past Link and Zelda realized that Demise's decay started to release Malice and began to affect the Master Sword, so they instead physically sealed him away elsewhere so the Sword could retain its power, without realizing that Demise's Malice is so powerful and seemingly infinite that it began to leak out.
@@AzureRoxe I'd love to see a theory in this. I've also been wondering why people were so quick to dismiss Demise when really, he was the true beginning of Evil.
There have been some theories about that, the return of Demise, the only problem with that is that by BotW so many eons have passed since Skyward Sword that it is unimaginable that Demise soul is still intact within the Master Sword. Fi or Zelda say Demise's soul will decay over time within the Master Sword, chances are that by OoT Demise's soul was no more. However the idea would make for an interesting story, Demise's soul surviving all that time out off sheer will power, biding his time for the Master Sword to "break".
@@AzureRoxe the only problem with that theory is that Demise was an evil "God", meaning if he was sealed outside the Master Sword, not only would he not die from hunger, his body would never decay or become mummified.
If this turns out to be true, then that means the Zelda timeline is going to come full circle. It started with Demise’s imprisonment in the Master Sword, it ends with him breaking free.
He did not say the game is darker than Majora's Mask, he said what they showed to the public in the first trailer was a little darker, meaning the game is not typically as dark as the scenes show.
Thanks. This has been confirmed several times and it’s kind of disappointing to see some theorists still leaning into it in order to bolster their theories.
Yes though in the video they are only talking about the scene in the trailer where Zelda is falling and abounds describing that trailer so I do think they understand that. It’s good to point it out again though.
Zelda better not die. It’s literally Link’s job to make sure this doesn’t happen so if it’s does the journey should be getting her back somehow. It would be cool if Link has to exorcise Zelda and bring her back to life, like she did for him in BOTW.
I think Zelda will die...but don't get me wrong here, like the ouroborus neverending cycle we will witness Hylia reincarnate. So we'll see another Zelda. Remember this isn't the first Zelda to die in-game, BOTW mentioned our Zelda's mother died. That Zelda also was mentioned having powers if memory serves. So our Zelda didn't get her powers through reincarnation. She couldn't have. Maybe she needs to.
@@mrgreatbigmoose I think that was more for Zelda’s story. She grew up disconnected from the “feminine” side of emotion because her mother died. I don’t mean female, but the concept of Yin and Yang. She awakens her power when she connects with the less clinical side of herself, the more spiritual side - through falling in love with Link. Her mother died, but Zelda is in a coming of age story so it shouldn’t have the same outcome. I think Zelda might die, but she will be brought back if she does. It’s not going to end with her dead. Link made a promise to Urbosa, Zelda finally has started to grow in the ways she’s always wanted, it just doesn’t resonate with the story to Kill her off imo.
If Zelda dies, my heart will shatter into a million pieces. I love her so much and I don't want her to die....but if that's what happens there's nothing I can do abt it and we will see her in the next game. That was my mini "I love the princess to death" rant.
I don't know why Link or Zelda haven't died in a game. It's not like they'd have to permanently kill them, because each Zelda game that isn't a sequel aren't connected
@@BitchChill If they killed off Link during the course of a game they'd be down a player character and would either need to replace him or revive him rather quickly. In theory someone else could take Link's place, but considering that he's the iconic face of the series it seems unlikely. With BoTW and presumably into TotK they've been leaning into the power passed down the royal bloodline thing (according to Creating a Champion passed down from SkSw Zelda herself all those years ago) which would break if BotW/TotK Zelda dies anytime soon without anyone to continue it.
@@brightfury7976 Link or Zelda could die in TOTK, then bring them back as different reincarnation in different story. I mean everything Link currently except for BOTW Link is dead
@@BitchChill Zelda's thing is tied to her (Hylia's) bloodline. Unless they extend it to say "surprise! There's someone else that fits the bill" there's no way for anyone else to fill that role post TotK lore-wise if they kill Zelda there. This would pose problems for future games, since they could no longer have a "Zelda" post-TotK. Killing Link in the middle of the game still means they're down a Link until the next reincarnation, which means we'd probably have to at a ten-ish year timeskip until he's of fighting age to be a player character. Killing Links after the game is over does not cause this problem because they're not the player character at that point.
I think it is all about breaking the curse of demise. Zelda said at the final fight in Breath of the Wild that the curse is the cause of ganon coming back again and again and that it has to be stopped. For a game that doesn't have much story it's something that should be taken into account.
TOTALLY agree and I am irked by how LITTLE these game theorists talk about THAT! Marvel had all this buildup to Endgame and the dangling question of the LoZ series is: how does Demise's curse get broken? And that's where my favorite theory comes into play: the Ganondorf redemption story arc! Ganondorf is faced with a choice to finally reject the temptation to keep reincarnating as Ganon and he can become a peaceful hero king of a limited kingdom instead of seeking world domination. I think the ancient hero looks a lot more like a good version of Ganondorf than anything else too, and somehow, Zeltik and Bandit seemed to forget completely about the ancient hero in the mural.
Doubtful, you can’t take it out of the story. Besides, the ouroboros symbol represents a loop that cannot be broken. I really wish people would stop saying “tHe cuRsE Is gOiNG tO eNd” the curse will never end since it it a fundamental part of the Zelda series as a whole, taking it out would be cereal without milk. Like yeah, you got cereal. But without the milk it’s just dry and dull and doesn’t taste as good
@@pubertdefrog The curse may be the fundamental element of the dynamic, but that doesn't mean it _has_ to go on forever or that they couldn't tell a compelling story where a game _does_ end the cycle. I have no stance one way or the other, I just want a good story, but it'd honestly be pretty interesting to see how the cycle of Demise's curse _might_ be broken, especially since Ganondorf is almost always depicted as a black and white, power-hungry villain Like, we barely ever learn anything about Ganondorf as a person, so imagine if the curse was something that gradually corrupts his existing personality, rather than being his entire persona from birth, there would be a lot to explore in regards to him being more of a tragic figure. Maybe some of his reincarnations _are_ just out for revenge from the very start, but maybe some of them want nothing more than to be _free_ of the inevitable and are willing to cooperate with his eternal "enemies" to pursue that goal. But, maybe it truly is inevitable. Maybe the three of them put all this effort into trying to rid themselves of an endless destiny beyond their control, only to not only fail, but then have to betray newfound friendships simply to survive and not let the rest of the world fall to ruin. Wouldn't that be an interesting, new perspective to see, something truly unknown to the series that still holds dear to the themes that make this series so great? Does the curse _have_ to be broken to tell a compelling story? No, but to simply get frustrated with people and say there's no potential there seems a little silly and restrictive, tbh. Nintendo does seem to be focusing on giving some sense of "finality" to a few of their series lately, maybe due to so many of their senior members getting up there in age or wanting to move on to different things, so I wouldn't be surprised if they went that direction with Zelda too. Maybe not a permanent end to new games, but having a clear starting point of the series with Skyward Sword and a corresponding end point where the curse is finally broken, with future projects potentially telling stories inbetween
@@pubertdefrog the curse is not a fundamental part of Zelda because we didn't know about the curse until skyward sword, 25 years of Zelda without the curse in our minds. So they can easily break the curse and create a new lore.
@@rayoup11 tbh, they won’t either way. Getting rid of the curse means getting rid of ganon for good which doesn’t work, it’s like if going forward, Nintendo decided to remove bowser from Mario I mean, unless you can come up with a good reason how Ganon or others are evil every single time without the curse, then I’ll believe you
What if, as you go around Hyrule collecting the tears and slowly repairing the Master Sword or whatnot, Ganon becomes stronger and stronger? Like, say Link cleanses one area of its malice with a tear, the malice doesn't disappear but retreats. The more Link journeys he becomes stronger, but also does Ganon. That would also let speedrunners head over at any point, but to those who take their time adventuring, the boss battle won't end up being too easy either (like BOTW). I know there's problems with this idea too, but it might be interesting as a start point.
4:37 Been three years since that first teaser. That quote from Aonuma has been so dissected and run over that at this point we can only be *deliberately* misinterpreting it.
I would like to make a proposition, my tinfoil hat theory: When using the full force of the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf is transformed into the pig beast Ganon. What if that mysterious figure we see represents Zelda undergoing a similar transformation under the effects of the Triforce of Wisdom?
Maybe it is just me, but in the carving of the floating "Zelda" figure, off to the right side is an image. To me, this looks like a side view of the head of the King of Hyrule possibly watching what is happening to the main figure. There is a crown on the head. An eye, a mustache, a mouth, and below that three sections with vertical lines that looks like layers making up the beard. Or perhaps it is an Agahnim type character, performing the sacrifice. I haven't heard anyone else mention this image, so maybe its just my twisted mind that sees it. :)
The zonai will Definity appear in Tok or play a bigger role this time. Just as you guys said, aunouma listens to the players and the zonai have been in so many discussions. It'll be a missed opportunity if they aren't.
I'm very interested in the double ouroboros. I've seen the ouroboros used before, but never a double. In fact, now my 3 favorite franchises have an ourobouros reference of some kind. Trails, XBC, and LOZ.
The chemistry is excellent! The comedic, energic one paired with the serene, relaxing voiced one is a gem! Something we should be blessed more often with. 👌
If the reverse time power is rewinding objects to a previous state (a rock before it fell, or a metal spikey ball sitting on the top of a hill) it could be used on a person to "restore" them to a previous state. Zelda fell so then someone, maybe Link, Hylia, or the Zonai magicians, could use the reverse time on her, lifting her up like in the stone mural and also, restoring her hair.
7:17 … That tornado looks to be roughly about Rito Village. Combine that with No Deku tree and the Malice in Death mountain and it seems like Ganondorf has indeed launched a major attack on every race in Hyrule, which we will probably have to stop/reverse
This is a good theory and there is precedent for this in Ocarina of Time. Though another commenter had a theory that the Deku tree was raised to the heavens to protect it.
@@jaredponder4149 I do know of the Deku tree rising theory, been going about for a while. At the mo it’s going to be one of the two, though timescale is also a factor since somebody would have to react to Ganondorf’s unsealing and immidiatly go to save the Great Deku Tree.
Love the interplay you both found here. Great collab on both videos. I always love how interknit the Zelda YT theorist community is with each other. I would absolutely love to have a second quest after the main game where Zelda’s perspective is played through. I’ve wanted that since the Skyward Sword credits. Made me always wonder especially about Sheik since that version of Zelda and SS’s seem to have the most intriguing subplots, but I def think she would’ve been more interesting to follow in OoT. I always liked how Himekawa (spoilers) made Shiek work for Ganondorf, hiding in plain sight as it were under the pretext of stopping Link. But I’m off on a Zelda tangent. Can’t wait for more amazing theory videos from you! Have a great rest of your day.
Personally, I believe the figure laying down is Ganondorf, and the mysterious figure is the eights heroine. Also, the eighth heroine would be the one with time powers, who froze Ganondorf in time. However, this caused her to be frozen in time as well, and many people forgot about her. I think that her seal on Ganondorf will break, and she will call to Link for help.
I love this. My only thing tho is I don’t think they’ll go back to fully linear gameplay. My guess is this is 100% correct but the tears will be like the divine beasts. In all reality you will start the game with the master sword and CAN go fight Ganon right after the tutorial but it’ll probably be really hard. My guess is whatever NPC replaces the old man for the tutorial will warn us and say “to take on Ganon without that blade would be folly” just like how they said to take him on without the Devine beasts would be a fools errand. TL;DR Speed runners will still be able to beat the game in 10 minutes but the rest of us will get to enjoy collecting tears in the order we see fit before storming the castle.
Four minutes in and I can't help but see a parallel between the mural of who we assume to be Zelda and an already long passed event. What if it's depicting Skyward Sword Zelda, with Ghirahim's ritual? Maybe the princess falling into the malice is connected to it, or even has similar connotations? Or maybe it's not Zelda at all that's depicted, but Ganondorf? As for the tears, what if there's one at every major civilization (where a divine beast is/was) and then perhaps one underground and one in the sky? And it's likely a far reaching hope, but perhaps Ghirahim will reappear as well. Fi is being repaired, maybe us even using the possible tears to reverse time will bring back the sword spirit...but it might also release Demise, if It turns it that far back. Either way I'm absolutely hyped for this game's release.
All theorists keep skimming over the fact it said ‘ not final game footage’ or something to that effect. So the stone carvings aren’t necessarily apart of the game. Could just be made for the teaser to give you the idea of what’s going on ‘in game’. It’s not a historical tale or a prophecy, it’s just a summing up of the game for trailer purposes.
I'd like to point out that the statement made by Aonuma about the sequel being a little darker than Majora's mask was most likely a misinterpretation. Some others have pointed out that based on his choice of words, he was only saying that the trailer was darker than Majora's Mask, not the whole game itself. We all just misunderstood and assumed that this game was going to be dark and gritty. Unfortunately, it seems that that won't be the case. I'm sure it will still have some dark moments in it, and as long as they're like the Shadow Temple or other similar moments in the series, I'll be happy, but I just wanted to point out that Zelda's fate probably won't be as dark as you think. I think we're going to have to save her, but I'm hoping and thinking that she'll get the chance to save us as well.
at 2:30, talking about their underground exploration gave me flashbacks to the AI-written stories like "The Fun Sword"😂 great theory and I love your content and vibe as always! "korok seed hits the fan" is too good lmaooo
maybe the ourborous dragon is meant to represent the connection that all heroes of courage have with one another? Like maybe they're connected through different dimensions or something other than the triforce-- like shared memories or smth?
there are seven zonai swirls surrounding Hylia. I think that's a reference to seven possible traditional dungeons that link has to complete in the game. Update: You mentioned seven tears and I think this how the traditional dungeons could come into play and it would be fitting since as you said it could be used to repair the master sword. They will most likely be spread out all over the kingdom hence Tears of the Kingdom.
I love the Legend of Zelda community. You guys all made your own separate videos covering different topics. No one got mad that the other content creator got to the trailer before the other one. You all find your respective lanes stick to. And now a collab! Love you guys. Monster Maze is included in this as well.
I'm strongly reminded of when Zelda's body was similarly positioned to try to revive Demise by stealing her essence. Could history be repeating itself with the most Demise-esque Ganondorf we've ever gotten? With Hylia's presumed involvement, why not her evil counterpart, in his latest incarnation of Ganondorf? Also, was I the only person who adored the Wii Motion Plus controls of Skyward Sword?
@@BanditGames it even happens on purely factual videos. Hell, Bandit could say "my birthday is X day" and you know that at least one guy is gonna be like "No, I think your birthday is Y day" lol.
Calling it now. Zelda dies in that cave near the beginning, Ganondorf ruins the master sword and injures Link and takes over Hyrule. In response to Zelda’s blood line ending and practically Hylia’s too, the islands (sacred realm?) descend to Hyrule, allowing Link to traverse them. He then looks for the eight vials of tears or whatever they, hidden on the islands or on Hyrule in dungeons. These tears will be super powered versions of Link’s time reversal power we see, that he can use to superman the world back to before Ganondorf breaks free. Keeping his memories so he saves Zelda and the master sword and fights Ganondorf and slays/seals him. I wouldn’t want this to actually happen in the game i think it would be a weak story but I have a strong feeling it will turn out this way.
zelda doesn‘t fall down into malice - due to physics (newtons laws) her legs would point upwards if that was the case. she clearly is lifted by some sort of power. what also would be interesting to think about is: why are the carvings on stone blocks and not on a natural stone wall like in a cave. is it really to be found in the underground caves we see in the first trailer or is it more likely on one of the skyrule islands?
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that when you climb a new Shiekah tower in BOTW1, a TEARDROP lands on your Sheikah Slate and suddenly a new portion of the map shows up.
I love theory videos, they are super fun to watch. But I feel like all the things people make theories about don't really mean anything and developers just connect things together retroactively rather than having them planned from the beginning. Because if certain things were true I feel it'd be pretty hard to hide considering the lengths some people go to research.
I'm hyped for "TIERS OF THE KINGDOM", like a wedding cake with its different "terraces" of frosting. Zelda is going to become another vessel for Malice/Demise, that's what I think is going to happen. Also I don't think it's an ouroboros, but more like a Xiuhcoatl, which will match the theme of the ancient race better -- they don't "eat themselves" -- it's a serpent with 2 heads like an amphisbaena.
1:27 this is so cool- The main characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 combine together to become these anime mech forms called ouroborus. Monolithsoft, who makes the Xenogames, was heavily involved in BOTW so I have a strong feeling they’re helping a lot with this as well and literally were inspired from their own game.
Couldn't the figure being depicted as levitating on it's back be Ganondorf and not Zelda? As last we've seen Ganondorf has long hair and was hunched backwards.
I don’t think TotK will be super linear. I think each tear you collect will make the final boss easier but you’ll still be able to fight them after the great plateau section of TotK. Wonder what TotK’s version of the great plateau will be!
What if Link is explores the Skies and Zelda explores the Cave System. It would be a really cool concept. So Zelda and Link would be playable characters
My question is where is this mural? Who made it? Who is viewing it in this mural during the trailer and when? A cutscene where Link has found the mural? And what does it mean to the story? Maybe it’s a introduction to the game like other Zelda games have?
Why do I have a feeling there’s a hidden message in the dragon logo we won’t know about until we play the game... the wear and tear looks like landmasses or islands. Some areas even look like runes
Two playable Links (present Link and the Link from that time in the past where he was a Zonai maybe), connected through time, past and present influence each other. Plus the dragons could represent the bottom and above lands, and how they are connected. That's what I think.
What about the 7 heroines? Each orb could represent the essence of those heroes of the past. I saw Wiley touch on this and I think his theory might be the most interesting story wise. It kinda makes sense if you consider the lack of sages in botw. Ganon being sealed meant no incarnations of them being needed. Let alone the lack of triforce allusions before the DLC, why is it rarely mentioned when it plays such an instrumental role in the lore? I dont even think the mural was alluding to a distant past, moreso recent events. After zelda falls into the pit, Link may be searching for a means to defeat Ganon himself for another century and the monsters have simply evolved. The mural is retelling the events we will take in the game and how the story ends, not a foretelling as to what will happen if that makes sense.
The way that the Zelda depiction levitating is similar in skyward sword where she was floating when the imprisoned becomes demise I also think that picture could about how to bring ganondorf to be fully resurrected from his undead state as well.
So if you look at his new shield it has 7 triangles but if you really look 3 are gold and the other four are the same color as the sheikah eye Idk just noticed
Hey there! Awesome video, as always!! Although... I don't see why everyone sees Zelda in the tapestry (around 1:00). Malice, the posture... To me? Ganondorf. Besides, the tapestry would only be about Link, Zelda, and that big owl deity (sorry, Hylia)? Meh.. let me know what you think!
I mean an Ouroboros is the simple for life, *death* and then life again. i think Princess Zelda dies when she falls into that pit. This would break the thousands of years long cycle and the game's focus is either defeating Demises curse for good or saving Zelda from dying by changing the past (depends on whether you think time travel is gonna be a thing in totk. Time fuckery isn't new for the series and honestly it could go either way)
What if link loses consciousness during Gannon waking (and being attacked by malice) and wakes up "some time later" like kid link in OoT. Which would explain his longer hair and updates to hyrule that still maintain the settlements we saw in BOTW. Forward in time, not back.
We could try to "reconstruct" what the obscured figure looks like from the side as seen in the title screen. Removing dragons is the easy part, filling the blanks is the real challenge but it's doable, given that we know how it looks from the front.
When link is running off the cliff in the new trailer he has some scrolls with the hands green glow on them and i think they are the new sheika slate replacement aka they open story things and they are how you use the green hands abilities to the fullest
What do you think is most likely: Ganondorf will kill Zelda, Ganondorf will possess Zelda, or they'll play chess?

exactly! if she were falling, her limbs would be trailing behind her center of mass, aka above her body instead of below it. she definitely looks like she's levitating.
She's totally levitating, not falling.
If you don’t repair the master sword and rush to ganon in the new game, what if it penalizes you with having to make the decision to kill zelda and banish ganon from her via that method?
i think that's a lil too dark for them. said it would only be a bit darker, and besides, that was just referencing the first trailer
Like a time limit like in majoras mask ?
No I always hate when games do that. Why ruin my gameplay experience because I decided to play differently
pls god no
You two are the reason I started watching any youtube lore stuff
“Korok seed hits the fan” took me a second to register that one 😂 well done bandit using in universe censoring haha 💩
Maybe Ganondorf is so much more powerful in BotW & TotK because *he is whole*
or maybe it's time travel shenanigans. or maybe Hylia exists at all points in time simultaneously & this is normal goddess behaviour. or maybe the hand isn't Hylia & just some guy that's gonna hang out with Link. Questions, questions, all of them driving me crazy
And no definitive answers or even supporting evidence
Should have called the game the Legend of Zelda: Questions, questions...
He did not say the game is darker than Majora's Mask, he said what they showed to the public in the first trailer was a little darker, meaning the game is not typically as dark as the scenes show.
thank you. been looking for someone to say this.
Hopefully he does
I think Zelda will die...but don't get me wrong here, like the ouroborus neverending cycle we will witness Hylia reincarnate.
"Who goes around tearing kingdoms?"
Oot Ganon: The audacity of this man.
does anyone else think the pedestal the "goddess" is on looks somewhat like the birdlike glider shown later in the trailer?
5:58 THATS THE TRIFORCE! The hand link's holding the master sword on!
Holy shit! I just noticed
@@BitchChill Wym, The fallen timeline exist because Link dies in Oot. It’s practically the main timeline.
I have no stance one way or the other, I just want a good story, but it'd honestly be pretty interesting to see how the cycle of Demise's curse _might_ be broken, especially since Ganondorf is almost always depicted as a black and white, power-hungry villain
Like, we barely ever learn anything about Ganondorf as a person, so imagine if the curse was something that gradually corrupts his existing personality, rather than being his entire persona from birth, there would be a lot to explore in regards to him being more of a tragic figure.
Getting rid of the curse means getting rid of ganon for good which doesn’t work, it’s like if going forward, Nintendo decided to remove bowser from Mario
I mean, unless you can come up with a good reason how Ganon or others are evil every single time without the curse, then I’ll believe you
What if, as you go around Hyrule collecting the tears and slowly repairing the Master Sword or whatnot, Ganon becomes stronger and stronger?
Then what would happen with Link and the courage piece?
Ok thats actually a sick theory
Maybe it is just me, but in the carving of the floating "Zelda" figure, off to the right side is an image. To me, this looks like a side view of the head of the King of Hyrule possibly watching what is happening to the main figure. There is a crown on the head. An eye, a mustache, a mouth, and below that three sections with vertical lines that looks like layers making up the beard. Or perhaps it is an Agahnim type character, performing the sacrifice. I haven't heard anyone else mention this image, so maybe its just my twisted mind that sees it. :)
Honestly cant tell if ur seeing things or if its actually a head lol
The zonai will Definity appear in Tok or play a bigger role this time. Just as you guys said, aunouma listens to the players and the zonai have been in so many discussions. It'll be a missed opportunity if they aren't.
the bots be out
"Who goes around tearing apart kingdoms?"
Ganon/Ganondorf. He does.
I'm very interested in the double ouroboros. I've seen the ouroboros used before, but never a double.
In fact, now my 3 favorite franchises have an ourobouros reference of some kind. Trails, XBC, and LOZ.
Those are good games
“This is where the Korok Seed hits the fan”
Very clever, Bandit. Sneaky and clever- fitting, isn’t it?
The collab I've been waiting on since the name drop!!
The carving of Zelda depicts her being sacrificed. This happened to her and the 7 maidens in LTTP due to Agahnim.
I like that you even tied the double ouroboros theme into these videos. You can start with either and they both lead into each other
Great video gentlemen! 🙌
Love Bandit helping out small channels.
You're the real MVP.
"As we all know, Ganondorf do be looking a bit crusty these days"
Okay that line had me rolling 🤣
"Pronuncing" 🤣 reminded me of a Simpsons gag, when the aliens Kang and Kodos says to the humans: "we have learned to imitoot you exarrctly!" 👍
at 2:30, talking about their underground exploration gave me flashbacks to the AI-written stories like "The Fun Sword"😂 great theory and I love your content and vibe as always! "korok seed hits the fan" is too good lmaooo
0:14 i go around tearing up carpets
"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"
Aw. The two best Zelda tubers working together on the great collab. Keep it up my brothers.
Great theory Bandit! You never have bad videos, keep up the good work!
Bandit and Zeltik… the best theorists coming together!
maybe the ourborous dragon is meant to represent the connection that all heroes of courage have with one another?
Great team up video. Very intriguing.
Bandit: who goes around tearing up a kingdom? Ganon: Allow me to reintroduce myself.
Great video, you’re an absolute classic TH-camr
when you spend 8 hours making a video and some guy in the comments tries to prove the entire video wrong
That’s every video
Pre Zelda hype is back baby! love the vibes leading up to the release
Great video! I like you guys working together!
I adore how similar your guys’ thumbnails are for the collab
Wowowowowow IS THAT MAJORAS MASK on that mural? Around the eyes
Great job on the video!! Actually, came from Zeltik video
I love theory videos, they are super fun to watch. But I feel like all the things people make theories about don't really mean anything and developers just connect things together retroactively rather than having them planned from the beginning. Because if certain things were true I feel it'd be pretty hard to hide considering the lengths some people go to research.
Yaaaaaaaas!!!!!!! More Zelda content and theories based on new information!!! May cannot get here fast enough!!!!!
"That's when Korok seed hits the fan"
Imagine being a Wind Waker fan since its original release 20 years ago, how the series has evolved.
The mural looks to me like someone wearing the top half of a bokoblin's head as a hat.
I am so ready for the new theories
When I first saw Zelda levitating over the Malice, it reminded me of in Skyward Sword when Ghirahim tried to sacrifice her in order to awaken Demise
Wait a minute
Just finished zeltiks now showing some love here great job guys!
What if Link is explores the Skies and Zelda explores the Cave System. It would be a really cool concept. So Zelda and Link would be playable characters
Awesome awesome awesome. You two are a fantastic duo!!
“Who goes around tearing up kingdoms?”
*like a lot more than you would think*
The way that the Zelda depiction levitating is similar in skyward sword where she was floating when the imprisoned becomes demise
I also think that picture could about how to bring ganondorf to be fully resurrected from his undead state as well.
Link: *Speedruns BotW in 20 minutes*
Ganondorf: No way am I letting you get within 10 miles of me no thanks.
Zeltik actually discusses that in his counterpart video, you should watch it if you haven't yet. =)
I usually don't watch this channel, often to avoid if possible. But king zeltik is here. We're good for this one
Time fuckery isn't new for the series and honestly it could go either way)
REMEMBER WHEN IN SKYWAR SWORD AND GIRAHEM WAS TAKING THE POWER FROM ZELDA OR SOMETHING AND SHE WAS FLOATING JUST LIKE IN THE STONE WALL
Prophecy stuff
Zeltik is easily my Favorite Zelda TH-camr his content is top tier quality
"This is where korok seed hits the fan" had me in stitches.
this relief with Zelda is a bit like a wedding ceremony
What if link loses consciousness during Gannon waking (and being attacked by malice) and wakes up "some time later" like kid link in OoT. Which would explain his longer hair and updates to hyrule that still maintain the settlements we saw in BOTW. Forward in time, not back.
Love it when you guys team up, i just came from Zeltik's channel
We could try to "reconstruct" what the obscured figure looks like from the side as seen in the title screen. Removing dragons is the easy part, filling the blanks is the real challenge but it's doable, given that we know how it looks from the front.
