I live in the HDD of Southern California, about 60 miles east of LAX.

Sometimes you've got to use the instrument the track needs. The JD is more of a performance bass--good for all things. But nothing beats a Fender Jazz or P Bass when you need that phat, round tone.
I was gonna say that flat wounds (the strings on the joe dart) are hard for slapping but then forgot it's not the bass that isn't versatile, it's me

Seriously, how do you guys design these perfect videos? Everything from the retro low-resolution to your seating positions to the so-perfectly-designed-that-they-seem-not-designed details such as the orange frizbee in this set. Whoever designs your sets and directs your filming is a true genius because they make your music come alive in such a magical way.
Not to mention that no one is looking at each other. Typically groups look at each other for communication when playing. These guys are just vibing on a different wavelength!

So much funk. I love the vocal rythm, punchy bass, syncopated piano and bopping drums all combine and fill each other's gaps in a way that's both super smooth and fluid but also so hard and funky.
