    Really excited to see new products for the Honda S2000. Would love to do a video on the control arms as I’m about to move to sphericals. Have seen plenty folks break knuckles here on the west coast as well.

    I always wanted to build a s2000 I love them. I remember there was a couple that ran FD early I think tanner foust ran one for RSR the trick they did was rx7 hydro steering rack and then chris gerant? ran one few years back but that car was k24 turbo on steroids I think he ran a custom steering rack setup. He said it was super hard tricky to drift at a pro level. I Love s2k they are so beautiful,

    Love to see the innovation coming out of your shop. It's really refreshing to see actual thought and engineering instead of cheap copies of old designs.
    Would you ever consider making adjustable rear arms for an E30/Z3? There are a few DIY kits out there but only one (to my knowledge) off the shelf solutions.

    This is sweet. And the front knuckle brace gives me a really interesting idea

    How does lowering the lower ball joint affect the relationship between upper and lower wishbones? Is there any geometry tradeoff or does it give an advantage with camber gain etc.?

    • @FDFraceshop
      @FDFraceshop  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea it affects everything. Bump steer, roll center, kpi, scrub radius etc etc. with a small change of 10-15mm the significant changes would be bump steer, roll center and camber curve. With this amount it is an improvement on a lowered car, you can go too far, like you are pointing out

    Great design overview. What is the material being used on the arms?

    • @FDF_CNC
      @FDF_CNC หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is a high strength alloy steel used on the arms as well as the braces. Similar to Hardox

    What’s the adjustment range on the arms compared to stock? How much shorter/long can they go?

      Shooting a video tomorrow covering all of this!

    • @FDF_CNC
      @FDF_CNC หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Front is maximum -3.5, Rear is -3.8 with both arms being able to achieve slight positive camber as well

    Does the bolt for the front bump steer kit have a taperd end or taperd spacer to eliminate any play with bolt?

    • @FDF_CNC
      @FDF_CNC หลายเดือนก่อน

      Currently the bolt does not, we have made machined tapered washers previously to help with this but the fit of the bolt in the spindle is quite decent.

      @@FDF_CNC I'm intertsted in your kit, the only hold back is knowing the lateral load is physically resting on small portion of the knucle tie rod pick up, the bolt to knucle contact is minimal. I beleive its prudent to include a tight tolarance tapered spacer to fill the space as a standard ball joint would. The load would be distrubuted to the knuckle as the factory designed. The best option would be to provide a stud with taper machined to it. I've seen severeal universal long tapered bumpsteer bolt/studs in the market. Hope this makes sense. Hopefully tapered spacers or tapered stud will be included in the near future.Please keep me posted, id be interested in the kit

    Can you please please please look into a front lower control arm for the Toyota MR-S (mr2 mk3) 2000-2006? Only T3 makes one and I am not a big fun of them…

      @ I cheated and have wisefab on that car. But I’m building a “seat time” K24 swap S2000 that I need all of these for, they will go on that.
