Tutorials on inventory don't work and the forums on the site only tell you what to type but not how it works. I need to know how it works so I can improve it on my own rather than a copy paste.
Game Maker studio... bought it on steam... but only then to realize that if you buy it on their website you also get a steam key but not vice verse... And then several month after that, it became FREE... And then sometime later, GMS2 was released... Now I use Godot.
Dear friends. I have a question. Learn Game Maker Studio 2 (for more simple 2D games) and Unity (for more complex 2D games) is it good and possible? In other words,I have been learning these two engines and I worried if this method can help or may complicate the deep knowledge about. Do you recommend focus on one or not?
I have one question only about game development. How to go about it making a game if you have reading writing difficulties and if that does not change because of your disability. Because I have a idea for a game I like to make. If you're wondering I am using a reading writing program what listen to my voice

Hi I want an advice. I am planning to make 2d games. Shall I go for Godot or Unity. I dont mind programming. Unity has HUGE build size. Godot doesnt have nice ad support. I plan for making games for android and have downloaded both of them, but I am confused which one to learn. Please help me guys.
Godot if you want simple programming. For a 2D android Game Unity is maybe way to oversized. If you use unity to make money, unity wants a share of that. The Godot scripting language behaves like Python3 or GML(Game Maker Language). If you have no expierence in making a game you should do it with godot. you will learn way more this way because unity will most of the work for you.
@@4F6D i am currently going with unity. I have found a way to reduce build size to half and still support many devices. Not choosing godot for android because ads hace to be done with a third party plugin. If it changes in 3.1, i will switch to godot.

HalfCount I’ve been using Gamemaker since middle school. I’ve made a few garbage games but Gamemaker is pretty easy to learn
Cool! Been I a while since I made that comment, am 12 now, but I still haven’t been able to make a game lol.
HalfCount I’m starting a pretty simple game rn. Cowboy duel. Basically a minigame
Valdis Story was created by 2, three if you include music artist. And it was developed using GM Studio v1.x in span of 3 years.
Im 15 and I wanted to dream to be a level designer but when I went back to my basic platformer in game maker, I can be a programmer as well.
I have a few game ideas. Some need a team. Some need a small team. A lot I could do solo, but I have no drive.
Have you tried Madcap Castle?
You came here for 10:15
that inspired me to make a game for my schoolmates im thinking for a platformer game with weapons
Umm...Happy subscriber anniversary!!!!!
I'm pretty sure Downwell is also out on Nintendo Switch. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I recommend watching the video to know about each game, but they are:
1. Undertale
2. Hotline Miami
3. The Swords of Ditto
4. Hyper Light Drifter
5. Rivals of Aether
6. Downwell
7. Nuclear Throne
8. Wullo
Coincidentally, I’m making a game based off of hotline Miami, and I didn’t even know that the game was made by the exact same software Im using!
Nuclear Throne is in my opinion the best indie game ever made. I'm so sad there isn't a sequal coming.
8k!!! #RoadTo10k And Join the official discord server!
And also, Gamemaker is really op when it comes to making a video game, It is also helpful and the best choice for probably all the platforms, This is my vision on gamemaker!
Thanks Krux! We're getting there :)
its 9k now!!
Is the background music from Treasure Adventure Game?
I'm here cause GameMaker lets people make GAMES FOR FREE.
And I really love the look of Sword of Dio
I hope one day I’ll be on here.
team ladybug uses a modified version and from what ı see from their games is that they have neturulized work system player controllers and stuff are nearly the same like 2016 konosuba game to deedlit wonder labirant so yeah it is rolbust game engine even more now with 3d community support
Gun Point and Heat Signature from Tom Francis should be on there. :)
Both awesome suggestions Brett! We'll have to include at least one of them in followup video! Thanks!
Use Unity it has many great tutorials on YT by searching "2d game tutorial Unity"
@@4F6D i am currently going with unity. I have found a way to reduce build size to half and still support many devices.
Not choosing godot for android because ads hace to be done with a third party plugin. If it changes in 3.1, i will switch to godot.
If you know c# and programming in general always go for unity
@@parkthrown2458 yeah. Godot is still not well documented and I found it is very complex to save data. So yeah, unity allways
Spelunky classic was made by two guys, not just Derek Yu.
When everyone forgets about the other helper temmie chang
(hois sadly)
Hey im 13 and I use game Maker 8.0 pro. Can you still make big games like this? Because its my dream to.
#9: Pizza Worker. Coming to Steam in 2020 or 21
Don't forget about Deadbolt and Grim Nights
10:40 wait how was the art smooth
I thought game maker only allowed for pixel art
what graphic progams could i use for my game maker 8.1 game
So inspiring!
My favorit one is Stealth Bastard Deluxe
I heard the phrase "too young" but I have the opposite problem. I feel as if I'm too old and do not have the skills necessary to make a game even though it's always been a dream of mine. I wouldn't even know where to start, I have very little computer knowledge. :(
I play a game called hero siege that's made with game maker. It's a top down arpg/bullet hell complete with leaderboards
I knew most of these were made in GM except: Turmoil (that felt more like a Flash game to me) and Crashlands
I wanted to make a game with unity but it was banned in my country! What a shame! I hope this game engine is not banned
i recognized that familiar skeleton shape in the thumbnail
I don't know man, i guess i'm to young to make something like that, i really want to learn programming but yeah... School, i need more time but i glad it's almost winter so i have a lot of time learning programming, oh yeah, thank you TH-cam recommendation because this video motivated me to make more games on gamemaker studio, can't wait till holiday comes :D
Thx Ask Gamedev
