Fun Fact, it's being written and directed by Chris Sanders. If you don't know him he wrote and directed a few small movies like Lilo and Stitch, How to Train your Dragon, The Croods. He was also one of the writers on Mulan.
But he's also the voice of a certain blue alien TOO overrated...
*cough* STITCH ! *cough*
* small * lmfao, def did not made my whole childhood sob sob 😊
so this is where their budget went instead of the Megamind sequels
It’s based off a book. It’s a great emotional story I read in my childhood
woah a Book? meaning this is a proper adaptation?
Yep, it is a book/ trilogy by the same name.
The wild robot
The wild robot escapes
The wild robot protects
They are really wholesome and heartfelt books that I've cried multiple times over and really enjoyed. So I think the movie is going to be phenomenal.

Yes! :D. @@GeneralIVAN894
Apparently, this is Dreamworks Animation's final movie to be full animated in-house at Glendale before they lay off all their animators and get outsourced animation for their movies from Sony's ImageWorks Studio.
Dark times are coming
@@franciscoOrellana29spiderverse was made by image works, doesn't seem bad to me, I'm hyped
When you said "final movie", I was freaking out until I saw "to fully-animate" thank god💀
@@zanimates4078 we still need to panic it means there's more that Isn't animated aka A.I
@PepeGibonbasically they letgo(fire) their animators and outsource to other studios. Their own studio would only be for writers and other stuff, they're still making movies, but they won't do the animation themselves. It's bad for the employees and aspiring artists, outsourced animation is cheaper because they pay employees less.
This movie looks amazing!!!! Also, it does have a bittersweet feeling. On one hand, it sad this is going to be last Dreamworks film that going worked on in house. On the other hand, it looks like they want to go out on a bang to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Will the quality diminish when they outsource. Or is it just a principle thing of in house vs outsource
I've read the first 2 books between 2018-2019. And i'm already in love with this trailer (looks incredible)
wait this have books?
@@franciscoOrellana29 yep. That’s what this film is based off of. The author and illustrator’s name is Peter Brown (it currently has 3 books (1st in 2016)(2nd in 2019)(3rd last year) and this is based on the first book)
@@NoahGoddeeris So, we may have another legendary trilogy coming.
@@GRiMxNova we could if this film does well at the box office and if fans want more
I read the first two book on a plane ride to Disney. Didn't Know they had a 3rd book
bro im about to cry atleast a bunch of times by the time this movie comes out...
For the people say the film itself 'it's masterpiece"! , as well it's heartwarming & emotionally at the same time. i could (say and) think to my myself, what a promising film!
Prepare to cry y'all, this looks like another banger!
The Wall-E of Dreamworks
Apparently, Lupita N'yongo did the cover of "What A Wonderful World" for this trailer.
Really? Damn
Apparently, she also voices Roz (the name of the robot)
This film looks amazing!!! It’s definitely an Oscar winner!
Rozzum is homage for play named R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) by Karel Čapek. His brother came up with the word: Robot and the rest is history.
I'm literally so excited for this. It looks so amazing 😭❤️
It's based on a book and it's amazing
This movie looks beautiful and they really catch the emotion you'd get from WALL-E or Iron Giant. I've gotta watch this movie.
This reminds me of the overwatch short " The last bastion "
A robot wakes up in the wild being activated by curious animals, then he wanders around being facinated by nature and having a bird friend
The story of this movie came first before bastion to be honest. This movie is from a book, and OW bastion must've been inspired by it.
It reminds me a lot of The Iron Giant. Also I’m genuinely hoping the movie will have next to zero dialogue so the audience can really be the ones following the story through visuals. That would definitely be super cool especially for a DreamWorks movie! It’s one of the reason I loved Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal so much!
If you didn't know the release date of this movie will be on September 20 2024
Kit Connor, an English actor who played the young Elton John in Rocketman and more recently Nick Nelson in Netflix’s Heartstopper.
I’m excited too see Kung fu panda 4 this Thursday that’s also dreamworks
This also looks incredible
I gotta take a peek at the book series. Been a long time since I’ve heard of a children’s book being adapted into movie form
When I saw the trailer and realised it was based off of the book, I was sooo excited!
I caught this trailer the other day and all I could think was "STUNNING!"
1:21 Here it is the reaction
genuinely looks like an interesting movie, cant wait to watch it
Amazing vid as always do you have a gaming channel would love you to play games I would watch all day ❤
I do the occasional gaming video on this channel. Currently doing a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth playthrough.
Bastion short film (Overwatch) if it actually becomes a full featured movie
THIS IS A BOOK!
No. This is a trailer for a movie.
Thank you dreamworks for making non sequel/remake in 2024!
I wonder, is Roz waterproof??
Read the book then you’ll understand why the ship is there
110 million dollars that’s how much it cost to make puss in boots 2
God damnit u made a cold hearted person actually cry wtf dreamswork how dare u make something beautiful and sad
React to more indie stuff
Dreamworks gave us a disappointing sequel and a beautiful trailer in the same week😅
