Congrats on your new ride, I wish you a great time with it. On a personal note, do you have any suggestion for someone looking to get an 850gs/gsa?

Yes bro, the 850 is what I have upgraded from and i have all good things to speak about that. Its been a fabulous bike already and now even more after the massive price cut. Comes with all the bells and whistles one can ever ask for in a ADV. Go for it, GS is a better handler than the GSA.

@@happinessperkm Thanks for the response. Yes, that price cut is the reason I'm leaning towards the 850. Can we get better aftermarket alternatives with the additional price they charge for GSA?

      Yes certainly.
A crash guard set of upper and lower will cost you about 40k
      Add aux lights for 30k
      Pannier racks for 27k
      Barkbusters- 10k
      Tank bag - 7k
      Top case - 10k
Panniers - 75k (not essential but if you want you can)
You don’t need anything more to make it touring ready

How is it compared to the new 850 GS adventure

    • @happinessperkm
      @happinessperkm  2 ปีที่แล้ว

It’s a giant leap over that in terms of overall performance and refinement but the 21 inch 90/90 section front tyre theoretically is better on the offroad.
On the newness front - there’s nothing new about the 850 GS other than the fact that its just a relaunch with a cheaper sticker price and minor feature upgrades. I was riding the 850 GS for the last 2 years/20k kms and upgraded to this.

    Congratulation brother🎊
Any specific reason to buy GS over GSA?
And now we've new Tiger 1200 GT and Rally range with aggressive pricing..
Brother try to make a separate video on why u bought 1250GS, which other bike was on your radar and how u endup buying with GS..

      Hi Vikram, Sumit here.
GS was the only bike on my radar because
      - it was a natural upgrade for me from the 850 because the switchgear is same, the TFT provides same and additional features. Basically i feel at home when I am riding a BMW motorcycle.
      - Tiger was never in my mind because I don’t like it because firstly it is top heavy, the CG is relatively higher and second the heat management is super bad, the entire heat blast from the radiator hits the rider’s inner thighs, even the 900 is the same.
      - Having owned a Ducati Multistrada in the past, i wanted to stay away from it because of the excessive heat it emits and it far unrefined.
Why not a GSA - to me it looks obnoxious. I don’t need that big a tank range because whatever you do, one does take a break every 150 kms so in my opinion a longer tank range s something one can live without. Also, because of the width, its keeps the wind hitting the rider’s legs so may cause issues in summer. The accessories that come along(barring the crash guards) the saddle stays are useless as you can only put on BMW branded over expensive panniers and the aux lights are homologated so they do not provide the desired output.
