@rooshiemusic What excites me about you & your stuff is that you came to Koala for reasons other than it being designed to mimic the SP devices, which meant that boom bap heads flocked to it!
Admittedly you personally could do more with Cubasis for iOS or Android, or better yet Logic on a desktop. But I also know that creativity flourishes with any tool, & that is part of the appeal of your music to me.
I hope you listened to that track I mentioned, Heaven's Gonna Burn Your Eyes by The Thievery Corporation? The vocal & track are a slow reveal & I heard something of yours that I hear is implying the same hugeness, regarding the mix, in a synaesthetic way anyway! Me too, btw! 👍🕊️❤️

So dope...I been wanting to make beats for 35 years and never could afford a beat machine.I been on the app for 3 months now and I make music and learn new things everyday and I am so much happier as a person overall in general. Its starting to become life changing in such a huge positive way..like for real this app is making my life better❤

Hey there, Marek! I would also be very happy to see another talented Koala user interviewed here, NervousCook$. He's made Koala skins & sample packs including C-note packs for Koala's keyboard, & his channel has playlists including 30+ Koala tutorials & also his RAW video format where you watch a beat created from scratch, in a flowing, edited format, with no talking. I've seen many old sequencer & recording techniques hidden in these videos of his sample-based sketchings! At my age, I'd say his style is influenced by many things including the sample-based Hip Hop of the early '90s onwards (which was not 'boom-bap' back then!) & uses a workflow similar to what was pioneered on the MPC samplers for Hip Hop. He's also a graphic artist by trade, with some examples in his channel alongside his music. He's always supported Koala & as an artist I believe he'd be good to track down & interview. IF he'd be up for it?! I have no idea! 😂
    Best wishes to all. 🕊️❤️

Fantastic. Rooshie is amazing and so inspiring. I was fortunate enough to see her on the KoalaBeatcast very early on, and then watching and hearing her creations during the show, and just being blown away. Her spirit of creativity, sharing and contributing shines through in everything she does.

Ooooh my, thank you for kind words! I don't feel like deserving them 🙈 I just try to find a way to do what I love and find meaningful. The community, people like you, teach me how to do that and how to find that. All I do is their merit :)

Amazing introduction! Speaking about your journey of musical discovery is a delightful way to inform your listeners about your influences and how you filter them through your creativity.
I experience music very emotionally. Some music will bring a frisson of excitement like an adrenaline rush, or I will spontaneously burst into tears at its beauty. I was very young when I started to express myself with music. My mother tells me that when I was a toddler, I would sing Michelle, by The Beatles. I didn’t know the words so I just babbled bla bla bla. But I sang in choirs as a child and with the Atlanta Boy Choir. With the ABC, I was able to visit other cities and countries. We sang at the White House when Jimmy Carter was in office, at the dedication of the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C., and later, England and Belgium. I was never bold enough to be a soloist even though I was frequently called upon.
I always loved playing records, and I had a record player from very young. I got a record of Shirley Temple songs, The Mamas and Papas, Glen Campbell, and the Jungle Book soundtrack. And my father listened to lots of Jazz and Latin rhythmic music. So even from an early age I was listening to many diverse sources of music. I absorbed everything from the radio, and FM radio was mixing all genres, with Pop, Folk, Rock, Soul and R&B from a single station. When I was older, I listened to The Dr. Demento Show, which showcased novelty songs, comedy, and other weirdness. Whoops, my bad. I just realized my autism is showing, speaking too long about my favorite subject.
    Best Wishes,

Marek. Is it possible to add a multi sampler? as that might to be the next logical step and would be fantastic to create instruments with mapped drums etc. and especially when used with an external midi keyboard.
