- Chevrolet admitted that they missed the mark on the design of the front of the 2019 Camaro SS. For 2020 there will be an updated front fascia which means that the 2019 SS will be very unique as a one year model run only. No one can dispute the power of the 6.2L V8 under the hood or it's performance. Will the 2019 Camaro SS be as collectible as a 1963 Corvette with it's spit window?

I own a 2017 mustang Gt and honestly I’m in love with the 2019 2ss look. Am I the only one who thinks that this is the best looking Camaro?

I just bought one. I think the styling looks it's best on certain colors. Mine is white with black rims and a black spoiler, I think it looks mean and clean. I dont think the brighter colors look as good though. I think you have to compliment all that black trim.

@@RaitisRides I traded my Trans Am for the 2 SS today, the exact same one in riverside blue, 2019 with 1,610 miles for 26 grand plus 5 down. They gave me 14 for the T A which I'm extremely pleased about. There's a day and night difference in which this car rides, no comparison to today's technology. I actually like the front, it's different and not crazy about the 2020, just saying! Thanks!
As a Mustang guy the only current camaro that could make me have treasonous thoughts would be an 18 SS in Blue

I own a black 2019 Camaro SS. I get compliments all the time. I’ve heard black looks better than most other colors on the 2019’s. I love mine and was thinking the same thing you mentioned at the beginning of this video. Will the 2019 Camaro SS eventually become a collectors item? I’m not sure, but I know I will never sell mine.

I own the same exact SS. I only have 2200 miles on it, and it is my weekend ride. I don't know why people believe the mid bumper flow tie is so ugly? I get looks and compliments on this car whenever I take it out. Grant it the dash needs a refresh, but this car truly is a speed demon, handles like a dream and is a very comfortable ride. Rear visibility is no different than the Vettes. I owned a 2012 and 2014. The larger side mirrors more than compensate.

The 19s won me over and finally pulled me away from the Mustang. Especially the 1LE, which I bought. So, I’m kind of glad the 19 SS is now a one-off. I do agree that the flowtie is oddly placed, but I’ll just wrap it or paint it gloss black. No worries.

@@michaeld5198 I got a 2018 1ss the cabin is like a jet. Visibility isnt the "best" but that depends on who u ask. It's cool and u get use to it
Edit: I drove a 2017 5.0 mustang and the cabin was not nice at all to me. One of the reasons I got the camaro
Yes paint the chrome surrounding of the flow tie flat black or gloss black. It will do a world of difference

The same driving experience offered by the Camaro can be matched by a number of other vehicles simply by wearing a blindfold while driving. Only slightly less visibility.

Dodge Challenger in my opinion is the purest muscle car. The only car that looks like classic muscle car from late 60s - early 70s.
I agree Riste. The Camaro is more of a sports car now while the Mustang is a Muscle/Sports car hybrid.

I like the 2019 Camaro SS but I love the 2018 Camaro SS, It has a awesome looking rear and front fascia. Sounds absolutely awesome and drives like a dream. Would love to see a 2019 or 2020 Chevy Tahoe RST with the upgraded brakes and the Borla Exhaust. Thanks Joe. Keep up the great work and reviews.

To be honest, I've seen quite a few going down the road in this refresh and they are definitely a head turner. They stand out and look pretty amazing especially with the LED daytime running lights.

Picked up my 2019 Riverside Blue today of course in manual. I love it. I love the way it looks. Now that you point out the SS badge on the rear bumper I’m not to crazy about that, but it’ll grow on me. SHIT I GOT AN SS!!

What is the point of the back seat in a Camaro? I tried to put my 4 year old back there in her boaster seat. Didn’t work. Considering Camaro sales are so weak compared to the Mustang and the Challenger (or is it the Charger). Why not make it at least as useable or more than the Mustang? Also, that would differentiate it from the Corvette because as it is, the Camaro is basically a two seater as well.

This has to be the best looking camaro yet but it was too aggressive for people. It reminds me of the 370z when if first came out with those crazy headlights and tail lights but it eventually grows on you the more you look at it.

As a long time Chevy owner, I also own a 2014 Mustang GT for my performance car. Back in 2013 when I bought the Mustang, I also test drove the Camaro and while I liked the power, the inside felt very cramped and the blind spots were horrible. I also was not crazy about the overall look of the car. In 2018 I test drove a new Camaro SS and again, I loved the power but the inside still felt cramped to me and the blind spots were still there. I wish I could like these newer SS's but I just can't.

I must be crazy, but I actually like the transformer face Camaro. At first I was with everybody else, but after I saw a few of these in person along with those sinister looking drl's, it grew on me!
I really don't have a problem with the front and rear styling, including the headlights, except that I agree that the heat extractor on the hood could be better, and the rear SS logo should be on the right side like they usually do, near the taillight to the right of the black bowtie emblem... and I like the color.
I still wish it had a CD player, or at least an auxiliary audio input jack, if it doesn't. Some cars like the Camry XSE, Acura ILX A-spec, some Subarus and others still have a CD player.
The question is the reliability, durability longevity. I also always question when a fairly new nicely equipped, somewhat special performance vehicle, even if a production model when they trade it back in when fairly new like this, with 3K miles, unless it's is money related.

Im one of those who cussed off the 2019 SS fascia silly, what were they thinking? However, I've seen some black custom 19 SS with the chrome surround of the flow tie removed or blacked out and they do look mean. 2020 LT1 and SS looks much better.

Great presentation, Joe. Personally, I really like the looks of the 2019 Camaro. I like the low sleek roof line. I'm only 5'6" so I won't have any problems there. Most of us old farts are used to limited visibility out the windows. Many of the muscle cars of the 60's and early 70's were designed that way. You may be on to something with the 1 year design becoming a collectors car, but I'm not so sure. What made that C-2 split window corvette a classic is because that split window was a radical design change for the car. I don't think the front bumper is that radical of a change to make it much of a collector car. Again, great job. Keep em' comin', thanks!

A dealer near me sold a new 2018 2SS with a stick for $36,000 a few months back. Now that was a deal.

The windows are still too small and the seats are too low. I have a 1986 Monte Carlo SS and I love driving it. The windows are large enough and i can sit up high to see over the hood and I don't need a backup camera because the back window is big enough for me to see the end of the trunk. Why can't Chevy give us a new Monte Carlo that's about the same size as the 1981 to 1987 models?

I use my center console for my wallet and a crown royal bag for change. I test drove a 19 and they changed the dashboard. It no longer has media for the speedometer. I didn't see a reason to trade in my 17. I'll save for a C7 or 8. Great video as always

underneath that washer lid hood is a directdrive , synchronous, variable speed 3-phase wireless A/C motor capable of doing 0-60 loads of laundry in less than 4.5 seconds.

I had a 2016 rs with the v6, fast, fun car, but the interior was just too cheap feeling, for the money I feel like they could have put a little more leather in some areas, the dash especially and maybe a bigger center console.

Actually if you bought a black one it would probably look pretty cool and you would have a one year only design . GM used to have the best graphics and emblems . How about some SS stripes or bigger SS emblems like the old ones . Could have a flow SS instead of flow tie! I would love a V8 rs with the 2 tone black and white paint job from the 70’s😁

Nice review! I like the front looks good in person i'm tempted to get one but I think I like the Challenger better, not sure. Took an automatic, no upgraded exhaust option, same color as this one out just this past weekend and it felt completely boring. i drove it right after I took a 1le manual out and that car was completely awesome! Im glad I got to see the difference first hand as the manual brought the car to life, plus I think the dual mode exhaust is a must after driving both. I hated this shade of blue the previous blue was nicer.

I’m actually thinking about buying a camaro. I prefer a v6 to save some gas cuz I live in Cali and gas prices suck. Also was leaning towards a 2018 hoping the price is cheaper. Feel free to suggest what I should get
I would go with the 2018 because you will save yourself quite a bit of money.

The 2016-2018 SS camaro is the best looking SS they ever did if you ask me. My heart broke when I saw the 2019 SS. I wasn't a fan of the front OR the tail lights. SOOOO glad they kept the 2019 ZL1 front end the same. But the best looking maro ever is definitely the 2018 ZL1 1LE

No offence to Camaro owners but I would never buy one. I have my Mustang and a Challenger would have been my second choice. Most of us will never live long enough to see if the 2019 SS becomes a collectors item.

I don’t think it would have been so bad if they just moved the bow tie up 6 inches. It just looks misplaced. The rest of the front end looks fine to me
I think there is a little too much gloss black plastic.
I test drove a 1LE and really liked the driving experience, the front end also looked really cool in person. I still bought the mustang since it's a friendlier daily driver and road trip car though. If Chevy fixed the visibility and gave it a bit more interior storage space I totally would have gotten the camaro...

I don't like the new grill, but honestly I never like the tank bodystyle when the Camaros came back out. The tank bodystyle makes me like the 4rth way more than ever. 3rd gen was the last great Camaro in exterior styling imo
