Thank you for this informative interview . I have been listening to Dr. Sims interviews on different platform and with every interview I learn something new 😀 I was super impressed to hear that Dr. Sims has been a vegan while performing at such elite level and for a normal ( not athlete) person like myself at the beginning stages of menopause I really appreciate her input and guidelines 🙌🙌
I am a guy so normally I will not watch podcasts based only on women but Dr Fitzgerald is so good I watched this one. It's kind of ironic that Dr Stacy Sims says "women are not small men". I am 5'7" and weigh 135 lbs. If I remember correctly Dr Fitzgerald is taller than me (maybe that's why she looks like a high fashion model). I will watch everything she posts. She is amazing. I keep her book "YOUNGER YOU " out on my sofa every day.
I’ve watched quite a few interviews with Dr. Sims and I’m always left with one question regarding the heavy (max 6 reps) compound lifting. It can be really hard on the back and joints since we’re likely lifting “too heavy” for our back and joints if we’re talking about a max 6 rep set. How can we build strength in our back, knees, etc. to get to that point of max 6 reps and avoid injury, while still getting the benefits that are mentioned from the max 6 rep set?
I appreciate the detailed information about peri-menopause through post-menopause exercise and nutrition. Really good to hear more about how to resistance train at this time.
Thank you! Dr. Sims is truly a superstar in this field - I appreciate her in-depth knowledge and ability to convey important information in a simple, practical way.
But fat loss is helped by Z2, isn’t it? sSome of us need to lose fat. I really love Stacy’s work but I sometimes wonder if she addresses non-elite athletes. Would love to hear from peri and meno women who’ve tried her protocol and saw fat loss results.

I'd love to see American biologist Michael Levin on your podcast
And men are not just large women!
