A Quake 4 fragmovie with frags from 2007 to 2010.
After redoing the movie thrice, losing everything due to hard drives breaking down twice and accidentally formatting one of my hard drives once, I've finally managed to finish the movie.

ID always managed to bring small new movement styles into gaming world. I wish more games could incorporate crouchsliding.
urban terror had crouch sliding way before Q4
crouchslide is the bes inventiont. Quake 4 is my best multiplayer fps game ever

so what and both those games are made on IDs game engines that make this movement possible lol. well i guess hl less than the two since their goldsrc engine just based on the quakeworld engine. but urban terror was just a straight mod for the id tech 3 engine lol. then again is crouch sliding really even that innovative. shit technically even super smash bros melee technically has crouch sliding with wave dashing lol
i do love how every quake game has its own unique movement characteristics though. quakeworld had aircontrol and air strafing, quake 2 had edge jumping (my favorite and personally the most satisfying to master for me), quake 3 ehhh i guess its got its own way of strafing in vq3 whether thats your cup of tea or you want to call it an improvement or not lol, and of course q4 with crouch sliding.

+TheDiegomula Before releasing this movie, it depended on two factors: how well the movie will be received and when there will be client replay support for Reflex. Now that it was way more well received than I thought, it will probably only depend on when we will be able to record replays in Reflex :)

nice, we defs should! yeah I remember east coast to EU used to be 130ish, nowadays ppl often get ~90 ping, which is still not nice, but definitely doable!

excellent editing. personally i would've ended the frag sequence at 3:30. the song was nice, but from the beginning of the movie until 1:30 it was getting boring and i was close to closing the video. frags could've been better, but sync was great. also, the first frag was very unclear (a recam would've been appreciated). good movie, though
+q3santile I actually wanted to end it at 4:00 at first, but I didn't know what to do with 49 seconds left, so i filled it up with some more stuff. I do have a few more frags left that could be considered better than some of the worse ones, but they were all on monsoon and I didn't want it to become a one-map-thing.
About the first frag, it wasn't possible to make a recam as the cam mod that was made by TTK-Bandit is only supported by q4max + 1.4.2. The demo was from 1.4 or 1.4.1 :/

I must have about 12Gb-16Gb worth of DEMO's. But I don't have the original files used in the map to play them. Is there a way to force the demo's to play?
Great fucking job. I miss this game and it's community so much.
You can try watching them by using demo_enforceFS 0. You'll have to try start a local server first with the same map as the demo you want to play. It probably won't play back glitch free though (missing rocket explosions etc.)

+ivan hoe At the time they released quake live, id tech 4 was still too demanding for the broad mass, which they tried to reach. Also it's buggy as hell. But I was at least hoping they'd add a few features from Q4, but they only re-did Q3 without anything except for a few small elements from CPM, like double jumping.
