YES! Be a hero, but don't be a hero for everyone else, because you Will lose yourself eventually. Be a hero for your own sake, only then will you find the True Pleasure in it. And then you can be the hero for the whole wide world.
I think this is what the song about as well, the person singing the song continuously asks and waits for a hero to save her from the darkness of night and weight of life, but she never really finds this hero in the song itself. I think this is a message to show that you need to be your own hero!

Perfect Footloose soundtrack. Most kids today remember the covered version from Shrek 2, but the original was first used in Footloose. Bonnie Tyler was the key soundtrack artist for the movie.
Every once in a great while a song comes along that nails it. The tempo matches the instruments, which are a perfect blend and finally you add a perfect voice for the precise lyrics to create a perfect tune. The song can go on forever. This song hit it out of the park and into permanent orbit.
I was just a kid when I saw the movie Short Circuit 2. The chase scene with this background theme is one of my most beautiful memories I have from my childhood. Go Johnny 5! Thanks bonnie!
You have done an amazing job keeping the "Old West" spirit of the original video. I have loved this song for years; I've put it on mixtapes, my iPod, and my phone. I consider it "power-up" music.
This song is so hard to get out of my head. After watching Loki yesterday, I was like oh nooo here we go again! Lol now I'm here replaying this song over and over again 🤣
I like how most songs achieve dynamic range by giving you a long wind up with intricate layers. This song does it by giving you six seconds of warning then starting off louder than most songs end, and ending with the vocals basically fighting for dominance against drums played by Animal, an entirechoir, a piano being beaten into the ground, and explosion sounds. The part that would normally be the quiet breakdown in the middle is basically a drum and brass solo. It is almost impossible to describe how nutso buttso crazy the amount of energy this song has. There are heavy metal tracks that don't go this hard.
The whole song is awesome, but what I like the most about this extended version is the last 1,5 minutes or so, when the climax is over, the instruments start to fade one by one and the "oo-ohs" are the only vocal parts left. It's so... haunting. Beautiful!
This song is perfect for when you want to do anything fast-paced. Driving a lone at night on a high way? Check. Sprinting at full speed when you want that extra push? Check. When she says her parents aren't home? Check. Gotta run faster to find her parents 🦁
