This video was helpful. I think a lot of people jam the case on incorrectly then complain about it not charging or the magnets not holding the Pencil in place with the case on. Aligning the text of the Apple Pencil with the word “Magnetic” ensures it easily installs, charges and is secure.
When I bought it, I was too excited to put it on my pencil that I ignored the instructions came with it and then it didn’t charge 😂. But after reading the instructions, i aligned the ‘magnetic’ label side with the flat side of my pencil. One of the best sleeves I’ve bought in a while 👌
Hey Elago, if you haven't noticed yet, the cases now have the double tap hole on the OPPOSITE side of the magnetic strip. so If users put the case on hoping to use the double tap function and alight the double tap hole to the flat side of the Apple Pencil, the magnetic side will go on the opposite site of the pencil. And if the do put the magnetic strip to the flat side of the Apple Pencil, the users lose the double tap functionality. The very first promotional images show the double tap hole and the magnetic strip being on the same side of the case. Please correct this.
Double tap works on the whole pencil, not just the flat side. I just received a new elago case with word 'magnetic' and double tap hole on the opposite side for pencil 2 and tested this. It charges when the case is put on matching the 'magnetic' on the case to the flat side of the pencil 2. I hope this helps.
