    When I was growin' up there was no such thing as inexpensive and good quality guitars. Either they were the top brands or they sucked. Kids just starting out today, have great choices. It's a great thing.

      Dude, I’m right there with ya…when you went into a store years ago, it was a wall with your dream guitars or the wall with the cheap shit…these kids today just don’t know!!!

    • @deanevangelista6359
      @deanevangelista6359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! The cheap guitars had necks that could never be adjusted right, rough frets, "untuners," scratchy pots, and microphonic pickups. Oddly, they all seamed to have a zero fret, which is a nice feature.

    • @caiusmadison2996
      @caiusmadison2996 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Danelectro, Hagstrom, Silvertone. National as well, with resoglass guitars where also cheap then. Plenty of EKO models, and FugiGekkikan guitars where on that market. Superstitions and country allegiances, has sustained that lie for ages

    • @hoffy1003
      @hoffy1003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@caiusmadison2996 In the 1960's those guitars were NOT very good. Yes, today they're well sought after and Yes, today people know how to make them playable and get a lot of good playing out of them. But in 1964 Hagstrom was, maybe decent. Silvertone sucked. Harmony archtop type guitars were crap but we loved em'. I had a Zim Gar. That thing went out of tune the moment I strummed it. The whammy bar would break a string. Then I had a Conrad. THAT was a bit better but sounded like garbage and made my fingers bleed. Yes, people love these old guitars from our past but mainly because their nostalgic. Not because they were good. There was always the exception, but mostly you went on to a better guitar after owning a Silvertone from Sears Roebuck. All that said, those guitars did the job of allowing us to learn. There weren't what we really wanted. As an 11 year old, country allegiance, nor superstition had anything to do with it. Those were NOT well made guitars.

    A Tele style guitar with curves and cutouts in all the right places.
    Eart are making some great guitars if you keep way from the entry level models.

    Got this guitar a month ago. Ive had dozens and am old timer. This one ... I did NO set up, just tuned and wow. The frets and neck are superb. If you are on a Tele kick, this one, for the money, is a fantastic value. I am also old school and recall the budget crap guitars from the 60s and 70s (Yes there were great ones but cost big bucks back then). I wanted the gold version but was out but also lusted for this green one. Its so good I play it much of the time ignoring my much more expensive axes. The electronics are fine but it is the action and playibility that makes this one a splendid guitar for most any genre.

  • @killacoiler1707
    @killacoiler1707 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks like a Wilkinson 2 post knockoff tremolo and Gotoh clone machines, but if they work good that is all that matters. EART is an affordable quality made base for a very nice playing custom. Their necks are amazingly comfortable and in my opinion much nicer than Squier stuff but not super shredder like a Wizard neck on an RG series Ibanez in this price point. Quite honestly they are on par with the 600ish priced Schecters as far as quality of craftsmanship. I believe you could do far worse for the same money going with a more commercially recognizable name brand.
    They definitely are light-years ahead of the guitars of yesteryear that were in this price range. I remember the days when a 350 to 400 dollar guitar meant more time tuning than playing, warped necks, scratchy potentiometers, and horrible sounding pickups. Those days are gone the quality of these housebrand and small guitar companies is all but ruining the market that was once dominated by Squier and Epiphone. It is great to have choices and quality at prices that aren't ridiculous for average players.

PLEK is useless if set up in the machine wrong! (That was a 2017 LesPaul Trad Cherry Burst). These Eart and Sire guitars have amazing fret work out of the box!! Even a pup/pot/wire change and they are still a fraction of the price of a Gibson. I'm not bashing on Gibson either, I just had 2 clunkers in a row!! Too bad 8( JMHO, Peace --gary

    By looking at the headstock i would guess it's pronounced Ear-Tee

    I bought one of these as well as the DMX-10 model and I have very little to gripe about.

    I believe I checked the link to Amazon 2 days ago and the guitar was already unavailable hahaha....EART is doing good business I guess, but they deserve it...I have the headless guitar with stainless steel frets etc. and it is a great guitar! Also during the making of it I was in constant contact with the builder (China) for special wishes and/or information, it was very nice. Thumbs up for them!
