Been a Trek fan from first show decades ago. Hell got a signed thank you from Gene Roddenberry after turning in 1000's of signed petitions to get one more season, and the show continued. I never knew about these Fan made films. Yesterday I found all these great films. Bravo from a old Star Trek Fan. You captured the style of Human interaction and Great Star Trek effects. I don't know what happened from the first time I saw this but you all are giving Paramount hell with this version, if this was a monthly series I would be a follower of it! Dam good job people Dam good!!!
The dude playing captain Jack Bishop gives a performance that feels real. He seems like a slightly awkward guy, but i think that is part of the characters background, and his emotions feel genuine. Nobody else in the movie is quite as convincing as him. Some good actors here, such as the girl playing Lisa, but Bishop really stands out.
I adore the introduction. beautiful images and lovely music. The Valiant vids show the emotional consequences of accepting this calling to explore beyond our world. Heartbreak comes with the joy.

Nicely done! It was beautiful to see the polished finished from what I had viewed before and kudos with the ending (as well as opening sequence), how she sat in the chair, look on her face, closing words and then right into the rousing music was all well orchestrated. I like having a smile on my face at the end of a production and that is precisely what this had prompted from me. Well done everyone.
I am really impressed! This is very well done for a fan production! I am from the OKC area and am a life long Star Trek fan, so it is especially gratifying to see Starbase Studios produce such a fine looking vignette. The cemetery scene was awesome! Loved the special effects shot of the shuttlecraft passing by overhead. Very much looking forward to seeing what else comes out of Starbase Studios USS Valiant!

It's really sad that to get real trek content these days I mean real in spirit we have to make our OWN because paramount & CBS don't seem to be in that business any more even if they do turn out product they title star trek
Thing about life most of the time is that we never really learn until we walk the paths ourselves. I can't count how many time I have tried to give my kids advice on mistakes that I have made and I end up saying, "I told you so."
@@StarshipValiant Indeed. Infact If I say so myself There are times in life where all of us will often make our own mistakes and I mean even everyone of us here on youtube. Even me. Why are their children rude & don't even had a bit of respect to their parents even though their parents are in the wrong sometimes? It's a bit cliched in every other films as well...
A ship with a black Capitan in the TOS era this is a really good idea : ). The only black Capitan in Star Trek is well known, this is Benjamin Sisko from DS9 and the USS Defaint. I Dinde it well which has now added a. I hope Vailant and his crew from the ship still many adventures to see. The studio in the your turns is the by Robert Mauro also the Star Trek Phase II series turns, doesn't it? (Text are translated by freetranslation.com)
Xalorr Draco Hi and thanks for watching. We filmed Starship Valiant at Starbase Studios in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the United States. It is not the same studio as James Cawley's location where Phase 2 is filmed.
StarshipValiant Wow, you will have with you also damn good stagebuilder. The details are really impressive. ;) Such a production in Germany also had to give it. ^^ You financed from private sources or used kickstarter and thus also the interest of all the fans you have un voluntarily invest in?
This is predy good. I'm curious as to how you guy's got to make this near 24 minuets long? Doesn't CBS, Paramount require 15 minuet lengths in no more then 2 parts?
how do I become a part of fan films...I have so many ideas and dreams but just do not know how to put my ideas and dreams on paper...can anyone help me??
Hey, how are you? Thanks for watching. The ship that the third season episode, "The Immunity Syndrome," that you speak of mentions the USS Intrepid as the ship that was destroyed by the organism. It was manned by over 400 vulcan officers and crew.
This line was a reference to the classic TOS episode, "Balance of Terror," and one of Michael L. King's favorites. From TOR.COM: Spock can’t detect the enemy vessel-it only became visible when it fired the weapon-but he finds a blip on motion sensors that may or may not be it. The blip has changed course, and in a leisurely manner. The invisibility screen they’re using consumes tremendous power-probably why it needs to be dropped in order to fire-and that may also keep them from seeing the Enterprise. - www.tor.com/2015/04/28/star-trek-the-original-series-rewatch-balance-of-terror/
I'm seeing this for the first time. I appreciate it's different starships with different captains and stories instead of changing original Star Trek characters and changing their personalities to fit modern social and political climate, which totally destroy the originals and the Star Trek original canon. I'm sorry the budget for this must have been small as the uniforms are the worse-fitting I've ever seen. There is also something to be said for having older people as spaceship command crews. For one thing the women are so old they don't show their legs and only show their body from the waist up. The older people in general should be advisers, overseers, headquarters where their acquired wisdom and knowledge will do the most good. Old(er) people's response times and reflexes are also slower, much slower. And, therefore, should "not" be a primary starship crew. Now that everyone knows their place are there any ideas for younger actors (who can "act") for starship captains and crews, and stories that can allow from time to time older actors to peek in - get shot - killed - sick - kidnapped - held hostage - betrayed - but keep the action going? Here's wishing you luck.
Honestly, I don't understand why? Who is to say that the OU football team doesn't hold some special significance to the Bishop Family? Just because they live in the future doesn't mean that they forget the past.
pretty decent fan film but i dont think theyll be making more with the 15 min guideline horse shit from cbs best way to fight them is boycott their new show the discovery is the ugliest looking pile of shit ive ever seen
Yawn. Boring. Sick and tired of fanfilm Captains having self doubt. The story should gear the lead into facing obsticles without having him appear less of a presense.
...Realistically, I can't even suppose this Sci-Fi crap into reality. 80< I.Q. isn't logical as YOUR star-fleet LEADER! Sadly, I wanted to like & defend Captain Jack. ...Garbage-Scows will always be needed, In any era...
arromac Sorry you didn't like it but don't you think calling it garbage, more or less is kind of rude to everyone involved? This is a labor of love and we understand everyone isn't going to like it but there's also nothing wrong with constructive criticism instead of just being flat out mean but as l said, thanks for watching regardless.
...Mmmk. Let me start out by apologizing to you & your hurt feelings and instead of critiquing it in an "Over-All," original idealism that helps supports the arts. Let me tell you want you want to hear: Special effects, B++, very nice, (The ship to ship engagement was interesting, but short). Set design A+ Excellent (Has an actual feel of the original series). Storyline: D+, Characters don't assume new rolls simply because others are dead or otherwise gone. Realism: F-, Starfleet in that era has only 12 Constitution Class vessels available for command, 34 later on, how likely is it the "Next in command will actually be the next in command," in the next rotation?! Too many waiting to fill that roll. Have any of you ever even read FASA/Paramount/Star Trek: Phase II ? Anyway, Acting: D++ (Almost believable), I realize these are newbs, so I'll bend a lot here - And honestly say - They didn't suck...(Side note, Captain Jack was actually interesting)...
arromac Thanks for the response. I appreciate you taking the time to share criticisms that are at least fair and understandable and not just mean spirited. It was never about hurt feelings as this is the nature of the internet.
I only wish CBS Paramount could do as well as you fine people have done. Bravo.

great story makes u think of how hard command really is on a starship.
Beautifully done....the images from the into reminded me of the covers of the various star trek novels from the late 1970s.
That's exactly what inspired the opening titles. The old James Blish novels.
Good back story and plenty of open questions for the show's direction. Very good.
Well written script! Great acting!

what happened to the valor when the valiant tried to assist?
That will be answered when we finish and release the full film in 2018. Thank you so much for watching sir.
StarshipValiant Wow, you will have with you also
damn good stagebuilder.
The details are really impressive. ;)
Such a production in Germany also had to give it. ^^
You financed from private sources or used kickstarter and thus also the interest of all the fans you have un voluntarily invest in?
Xalorr Draco There was a Black captain on Kirk's trial board in Court Martial. Also, the Commodore of Starbase 12 in that ep was Black.
I think he means a show that actually focuses on an African American captain in TOS.
Correct
This is predy good. I'm curious as to how you guy's got to make this near 24 minuets long? Doesn't CBS, Paramount require 15 minuet lengths in no more then 2 parts?
This was actually filmed and uploaded before the guidelines came out. Thank you so much for watching.
I'd like a brazilian portuguese version
how do I become a part of fan films...I have so many ideas and dreams but just do not know how to put my ideas and dreams on paper...can anyone help me??
What era of Star Trek would your story take place?
In TOS, Wasn't the Valiant an all Vulcan crew and destroyed with all hands lost.
Hey, how are you? Thanks for watching. The ship that the third season episode, "The Immunity Syndrome," that you speak of mentions the USS Intrepid as the ship that was destroyed by the organism. It was manned by over 400 vulcan officers and crew.
I'm so sorry. I was going from memory. Thank you. Hope you're having fun doing these. Look fwd to more.
@@kolakowj NP, thank you so much for taking the time to watch.
It was Intrepid.
Kirk's "Finegan"?
Yep, the very same.
Two blips on the motion control sensor?
This line was a reference to the classic TOS episode, "Balance of Terror," and one of Michael L. King's favorites.
From TOR.COM: Spock can’t detect the enemy vessel-it only became visible when it fired the weapon-but he finds a blip on motion sensors that may or may not be it. The blip has changed course, and in a leisurely manner. The invisibility screen they’re using consumes tremendous power-probably why it needs to be dropped in order to fire-and that may also keep them from seeing the Enterprise.

When I heard the name Finnegan, I wonder if it's the same Finnegan that used to torment Kirk at the Academy.
Yep. Same Finnegan. Good catch.
The OU logo at the 8 minuet 35 second mark is a bit off putting, just saying . . .
Honestly, I don't understand why? Who is to say that the OU football team doesn't hold some special significance to the Bishop Family? Just because they live in the future doesn't mean that they forget the past.
windex bottles?
These bottle were actually used in TOS. Check out this screen shot from the series. tos.trekcore.com/hd/albums/2x10hd/journeytobabelhd0666.jpg
Did you just fart at 7:21? LOL
Nope...was the sound of just getting out of the chair.
Would have been funnier if you passed gas. :)
..I sooooo love bunnies.......
Haha GO Dad.
pretty decent fan film but i dont think theyll be making more with the 15 min guideline horse shit from cbs best way to fight them is boycott their new show the discovery is the ugliest looking pile of shit ive ever seen
Yawn. Boring. Sick and tired of fanfilm Captains having self doubt. The story should gear the lead into facing obsticles without having him appear less of a presense.
This was a wonderful story! I hope you can do more!!
...Realistically, I can't even suppose this Sci-Fi crap into reality. 80< I.Q. isn't logical as YOUR star-fleet LEADER!
