What was the process for the girdle? Need to change the main caps and bearings or legit just pull the maincap bolts out chuck the girdle on and go? peaked my interest didnt know they existed for these
@@Zacfulton554 nope, can use the same main caps, just unbolt and put the girdle on. My theory about the snapped cranks actually starts with the main caps, they are VERY tall, so I feel they can twist under high loads and then cause a pressure point on the crank. No way it will twist with the girdle in there 👌 check out Modified Explorer to get yours.
Need to shop around you can find a manifold to fit the turbo I had the same problem with my 44mm turbo. Problem is I can't remember what year manifold it was that fits but it's a bigger flange type
@@Andrew-hu1bx no thanks, spending 15-20k on a used engine isn't my vibe. 4J will make the same power for less money + less rego, better on fuel and different.
Good work mate, she is finely coming together💪💪💪
Thanks Terry, slow and steady, but progress none the less! :P
Love your work man, it will be interesting to see how much reliable power you will have. Love your work man.
Thank you very much mate, been such a fun build!
