I have made hundreds of cottage pies over the years but never a shepherd’s pie! I have watched between 40 and 50 recipes tonight so far! Thankfully I have now come across yours! By far the best! I will be making this on Monday so hopefully it will turn out as delicious looking as yours! Thank you for sharing
Looks so good. By the way, speaking as a very old lady.....Shepard pie was made from leftover Sundays roast, gravy, veg and mashed potato. Using ground meat ofcourse is wonderful but it was made from leftovers originally.

Rachel .. Thank you. I am having leg reconstruction surgery in less than 2 weeks and am trying to make freezer meals. I made this recipe today and put it in 3 smaller aluminum containers. It was easy and I know it will be a comforting addition when I return home from the hospital.
I've made several of your recipes Rachel, and they've all ben delicious. I made this Shepherds Pie last night for dinner, even though its summertime. My mom and I both enjoyed it. I used gold potatoes 🥔 because it's what I had, also because IMO they make the best mashed potatoes 🥔. I held back the salt bcuz my mom has a ❤ condition but I increased and adjusted the other seasonings to compensate and it came out great. Keeping it for future dinners.
