- A war following the Hamas attacks of October 7 continues to take its toll on civilians. Israel’s stated aim in this conflict was to remove Hamas and bring hostages home. But in this documentary for “In Real Life,” on-the-ground reporting and open-source intelligence show how the conflict has expanded, growing into a campaign of clearing and claiming land - from Gaza to the West Bank.
Hamas fighters first breached the border with Israel at the Erez border crossing. 1,200 Israelis were killed in the violence that would ensue - hundreds were taken hostage including women and children as young as nine months old. The response from Israel was immediate - a full-scale military bombardment of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, one of the most densely-populated areas on earth.
In the 6 months following the attack, the Gaza Health Ministry reports more than 32,000 Palestinians were killed, the majority, women and children. Gaza now faces one of the worst humanitarian crises the world has ever seen. Human rights observers have described the devastation as an Israeli military campaign of “domicide” - the widespread or systematic destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure. Estimates from the United Nations say over 650,000 Palestinians, around 30% of Gaza’s pre-war population, will have no home to return to.
About 60 miles away, in the other area of Palestinian control - the West Bank - an old conflict over land has entered a new phase in the aftermath of the Hamas attacks. Since the start of the war in Gaza, Israel’s military has sharply increased its operations in the West Bank. The UN says more than 100 Palestinian children have been killed by the IDF here since October 7.
After more than 6 months of war, it’s unclear what will happen next. At time of broadcast there was no sign of a ceasefire, or any deal for the hostages. Nearly 1.5 million Palestinians are still displaced and trapped inside Rafah, Some members of the US Congress have urged the White House to start withholding US military support unless Israel does more to reduce civilian harm. But on March 29, the US approved the transfer of thousands more bombs to Israel. Looking ahead, the fear now is a wider war may be coming that brings the Middle East to an unprecedented tipping point.

It's not complex, the Zionists require exclusive use of the Holy Lands for Jews (this is genocide), everyone else requires shared use as per at least 11,000 years of tradition.
This dispute began with the advent of Zionism some time in the 1850s in Europe & extended into Palestine with a few individuals through the 1870s & the first full wave from 1881. The first casualties were probably in 1910 & everything after that simply expansion & acceleration of the genocide which was baked-in from the start.
I suppose the Zionist infiltration of various Western governments adds complexity but at heart it remains simply a European colonialist project.

Having looked up the flags, this is NOT a Hamas funeral. The Reds are PFLP, the yellows are Fateh, and even at 0:19 there are more Palestine national flags than Hamas (white text on green field). [Edit: Do see EverVince's comment and my reply attached for more]

I obviously don't know, but my guess would be that he just didn't complete the sentence, I know Hebrew and I have edited documentaries before, and sometimes you have to cut people off, there could be a billion seasons, but I assume it's either for operational security ( if he told them later that they can't show that part) or because the sentence just didn't fit well in the edit. This could also be deceptive, but these kinds of cuts happen a lot when editing interviews, it's most likely not malicious.

What doesn't make sense to me is that everyone is saying that the soldiers are killing civilians but are sending Aid at the same time.
People are saying that Israeli soldiers are just killing people left and right to get the hostages back, if that were true then there would be no point of that Anti-Israel government protest.
To me it sounds like the only reason it is taking this long for the war to end and the hostages to come back home is because Israeli army is really trying their best to minimize civilian deaths and maximize the deaths of Terrorists. Soldiers have been known to commit hate crimes against civilians AND hostages. I think their most recent rescue mission to save israeli hostages from hamas involved the death of over 100 palestinian civilians, 60ish of whom were children. Also netenyahu funded hamas. Also there's the fact that the entire invasion is barely justified (I'm not defending hamas, I'm saying that if the UK's response to the troubles was to level derry and invade the rest of ulster it would be horrific. That is an annalogy of what the ZOG is doing).

Palestinians have the right to defend their land
Jews have lived on the West Bank since ancient times. The Judea and Samaria Area of the West Bank covers a portion of the territory designated by the biblical names of Judea and Samaria. Both names are tied to the ancient Israelite kingdoms: the former corresponds to part of the Kingdom of Judah, also known as the Southern Kingdom; and the latter corresponds to part of the Kingdom of Samaria, also known as the Northern Kingdom.
After the War of 1948 17,000 Jews were expelled from Jerusalem and an estimated 40,000 from Gaza and the West Bank. Jews were prohibited from living in those territories during Egypt's and Jordan’s occupation from 1948 to 1967. Jews began to settle in the area again after it was captured by Israeli forces in the defensive war fought in 1967.
The British Land Survey of 1945 showed that the Palestinian farmers only owned 3.3% of the land. The wealthy absentee Arab land holders (living in Damascus, Cairo, Aleppo or other cities) owned 16.5% of the land. The Jews owned 8.6% of the land. And, 70% of the land was State land, transferred from the Ottomans, to the British, and then to Israel. Israel was created by almost 80% of non-Arab owned land. Over 80% of Palestinians at that time were impoverished and did not own land. Read the last few chapters of Mark Twain’s book “Innocence Abroad” (it’s free online) and he describes the economic conditions of Palestinians.
“The Palestinian people do not exist. There are no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. We are part of one people, the Arab nation. Lo and behold, I have relatives with Palestinian, Lebanese, Jordanian and Syrian citizenship. We are one people. It is only for political reasons that we carefully endorse our Palestinian identity. Indeed, it is of national interest for the Arabs to encourage the existence of the Palestinians in the face of Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity is only for tactical reasons. Ive traveled the war and learned how much of a luxury I have to be be committed to peace and love as an American who has always live far from conflict .
