Your fermented fish can you tell you have to put sugars in your .can you not to put sugar .when I young my mother fermented fish not sweet I like the fish not sweet
Although there is some sugar in this recipe, the result is not sweet at all. The caramelized sugar gives its color and balance the saltiness in there. You can try without sugar but we cannot promise the result would taste as good with sugar in it.
