The Left channel starting acting up on my Marantz 2245 and can't find the problem. Had the relay replaced and the unit cleaned, but no dice. Debating if pay big money having it shipped somewhere to be fixed or getting a new one like the PM6006.
I have the bowers and Wilkins 603 S2 and ordered now the Marantz PM6007. I will test them the next days. I do not understand why people say it's not enough power. I rather curios of the sound quality comparing to my Denon pma800ne.
Awesome to hear i have the Marantz nr1200 and not impressed with how it pushes my elac debut 2.0 b6.2 so i got a pm6006 open box special for 425 shipped with full manufacturer warranty and 60 day trial. Hoping it suits me and i can sell the nr1200 on eBay for not much of a loss
@@gillian_seed8358 How's your PM6006 testing? Was it better than NR1200? Found many used NR1200 selling on my local marketplace, surprisingly it was quite new model
@@oldaltis if you don’t mind me asking, what are they asking for them? To me, i think the pm6006 is better simply for what I’m trying to accomplish which is running no sub, balanced sound. NR1200 sounds good but it lacks in “punch” for lack of better term. Just doesnt seem to have quite as much control over the drivers. For someone wanting all the connections and wireless connectivity and plan to add a sub (or 2 with its dual output) it is definitely worth considering
@@gillian_seed8358 Hi Gillian, I have no idea why many owners selling off their NR1200, I guess probably same reason with you. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm keeping an eye on PM6006 too
I own the Marantz PM6006 paired with the Triangle BOREA BR03, sound really good! Power is more than enough for my 19m2 living room. But, I must say, it was bested sound quality-wise by the Hegel H95, that I tested the other week, but of course, the Hegel is £1500...
Offcourse it provides enough power it's a Marantz , "ancient" Marantz amps/receivers had 30w in 8 and 35 in 4ohm and they could play loud without distortion , so yes this beauty can do the job very well.
@@audio-tec9037 Exactly , it's all marketing from the (lesser) manufacturers , they are doing a ridiculous "power race" telling people they need 100 , 150 , 200 or even more watts. In the 70's football stadiums were filled with (loud) sound by 20 , 30 , 40 watt amps.
@@hemmohoving2558 yes, for normal listening levels (not demaging hearing) at home few wats are plenty. Stadium sound - yes, but PA sleakers are high eficient, very different from home gear. But most of common hifi speakers have sensitivity 85-95dB, so even 1W is enough to make music loud. I like to listen quietly, so I feel as more important problem with growing distorsion and noise at low output power (less than 0.1W).
@@audio-tec9037 thanks for the good word I live in the country so I don't get a chance to review equipment in person. Just ordered the Marantz from Crutchfield tonight

Wonderful 👌 I have Marantz PM6006 and CD6006 with Monitor Audio Bronze 6 and I love it😍 And PM6006 have more than enough power 💪
I have the PM6006 driving my Elac B6.2’s. It rocks loud and sounds great. Runs cool as a cucumber.

Hegel is very clean amp but 3x price of Marantz PM6006/7
How would i plug an iPhone into this? Will the iPhone signal go thru the internal dac?
Can I use this amp with a Klipsch KG4 speakers ? KG4 are sensitive speakers and hopefully work with this amp. Wanted to get your opinion. Thanks 👍

Exactly, but unfortunately many people think that 30w is not enough to listen to music.

Was thinking about replacing my Yamaha 501 with this Marantz for my Bowers 607 Yamaha makes them sound a little bright wonder how the Marantz will do
I tried a lot of amp. Marantz has exactly the softness that I was looking for my Bowers.Yamaha is renowned for its overly bright sound

Can I pair this marantz with sony ss CS5?
Are you just using the two Marantz and the the 603’s?
Are you using a different DAC or the built in DAC?
Many thanks
i use the integrated DAC "pm6006 or na6006" ans i try with "Micromega Mydac and Cambridge dacmagic plus". In this vidz i use NA6006 DAC
Song name?
O-Zone Percussion Group jazz variants
... This is one fantastic amp, you need to spend over £2000 to get better!!!! 👍
Thanks, it's amazing for less than £500
pm7000n is better, lower THD, better DAC, wifi and more... 1000 euros.

Try to use the A/B channel and you will be amazed
not enough power
More than enough if u are not deaf
It all depends on what speakers you are driving, room size, preferred volume, etc.
