Very nice pairings, as always! I also tried many amps with the Vela and they always sound best with good power. (150w+) I also was very impressed what the Vela can do with Bi-Amping. Greetings
@@MARIO31222 now on Vela 408, i use Gato Amp 150..glorious sound... For the 407 i used the Gato 250 DIA all in one... With my Arcam and Naim Amp (both 70w) it lacks of Headrom and width. Thats my experience. Greetings
The SA20 is truly amazing sounding in my opinion. The Arcam sound signature was exactly what my Focal Aria 906 needed due to their lack of bass. Moving to the Vela 403 I didn’t need the lush and rich and warm Arcam sound added to the already sweet sounding Velas with their full bass. For them I wanted a more neutral sounding amp that emphasizes the midrange since the Velas can sound veiled in the midrange with some songs.
Hello, and first of all nice demo :) I just wanted to ask you for your experiences with Audiolab 6000A and this Marantz PM7000NN. How do you find them to sound, how is the soundstage, dynamics, etc. I am pairing them with Acoustic Energy AE300 and just wondering about your toughts before going for a demo. Thank you!
Unfortunately I don’t know about the characteristics/ the sound of the AE300. In general the PM7000N is a bit livelier on top. Both have the same ability/power delivery to push the woofer. In terms of sound stage and the definition of each instrument and center image both are amazing for being an integrated amp with a DAC inside. In my experience the 6000A had a tiny little bit of a better sound quality when using spotify connect which has already elevated treble. If you listen to a song via spotify and then via CD using the same built in DAC spotify was always brighter. Therefore I liked spotify more with the 6000A since it takes off one bit of the highest frequencies. Both are about the same in terms of soundstage. The PM700N a bit wider. The 6000A better in terms of depth layering. All in all I would recommend to pair both to your speakers! I guess it will be quite hard to decide in a blind test
@@DigitalPhilosophers Thank you for reply and sorry for being late, youtube didn’t give me any notification till now. Of course I will listen to both of them before buying but just wanted to hear as many "guidelines" as possible. As of AE300 characteristics they seem very nice for the price, nice balanced sound, a bit veiled in the mids, nice "silky" highs. So considering all of that I think I give Marantz a bit of advantage...but in the end only a sound demo will tell.
Put at least 2 meters between the two speakers, make the listening position at 2,3 meters at most, in order to decrease the room effect that is currently killing your demo quality :), AND dramatically increase the volume level of the recording - the music can barely be heard and your voice is essentially not audible.
Great transparent and energetic sound. Love the music.
Namasthey very good setup congratulations sir

Which amplifier did you stop at?

Hi. Thanks for sharing your opinions. Can I ask why you got rid of arcam sa20? Do you prefer Marantz sound over arcams? Any issues with the arcam amp?
