The thing l loved about this film was when l was watching this at the cinema, the first half of the film was about 2 criminals fleeing to Mexico and l wasn’t expecting all the vampires too appear. I wish more films were like this.

I remember watching this with my family on VHS! One minute it's a heist thriller then the next it turns into an action horror film!
One of my mom's favorite movies. God rest her soul, but she taught me good horror, in the best way.
dude i was like in 3rd grade and i got home from school and my mom made me watch this with her, she was like "i rented this movie but i only got halfway through it because it was too scary so now you gotta watch it with me" lol, she has passed away since too, definitely awkward one to watch with your mom but i was right at the age of being too young to even understand much of it at the time.

They did a tv series on this movie on the old El Rey Network. I think it was like 10 episodes the first season. But it was mainly the same story from the movie stretched out for 10 eps. They expanded upon the lore of the vampires as well as many of the characters seen through out the movie. Different actors played the roles but they did a great job of it. The fate of some characters changed, instead of dying they lived on or better yet...unlived on. they had the same dance at the twister with the same song but just a different take on it. it was more sensual and in Spanish. Kate does go with Seth at the end and when the whole series ends she joins the brothers in a life of crime.
Actor/Comedian Cheech Marin plays 3 characters in this movie. The border patrol officer, the barker or promoter outside the twister, and Carlos the crime boss at the end. In the tv series, the character of Carlos is a vampire from the start and has the ability to shapeshift.
Ellie makes the funniest expressions. 😂😂😂 I love it. ❤️❤️

So next is Desperado, right? Selma, Steve Bushemi, and Antonio Banderas as the lead. I believe it's another Directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quintin Terentino movie. Most of the cast of this movie gets bit parts in both movies. You may not have noticed Cheech Marin played three different people in this movie. The border patrol guard, the hype man for p#ssy outside the bar, and the guy at the end they met.
My dad pranked me with this movie. Me and him have a movie night every Saturday and it was his turn to pick. He told me it was supposed to be an action thriller heist movie.

In my mind, I lump From Dusk to Dawn and Full Metal Jacket both together. In that, the first half of both movies was way better than the second half.

Originally Tarantino was gonna direct this movie also, but he decided to focus more on playing Richie instead and the directing duties went to Robert Rodriguez (who has also made some awesome movies such as Desperado and Sin City, which you should watch and react to =)
