      Sue & I will be at the 2022 Tampa RV Show 01-18-22 thru 01-23-22.
      We will be at the RV Trip Wizard Booth on Friday 01-21-22 from 11am-1pm and on Saturday 01-22-22 9 to 11 am.
      We will be at the TSD Logistics Diesel Fuel Card Booth on Saturday 1pm to 3pm if we don’t die from the first two hours at the RV Trip Wizard Booth! Glad you liked the NIRVC segment. When we didn't hear from you we thought maybe you unsubscribed! Looking forward to seeing you again. Meeting at the booths may be a bad plan,.......

    We enjoyed the segment we did of the Mickelson Trail too. What a great job they did protecting that land!
    In northern CO we enjoy the Poudre River Trail from Windsor to Greeley and the Poudre Trail from the fish hatchery in Bellvue to east Fort Collins. Colorado is working on completing the Colorado Front Range trail that will eventually run from Wyoming to New Mexico! We're doing that one in segments.

    What a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors on an eBike! Happy New Year ! I've spent 47 years riding the rails in hi-rail inspection vehicles and enjoying nature through raw, natural countryside. I think I'd love Rails-to-Trails riding on an eBike!!!

    If you ever come to the NW, in Northern Idaho, there is the Hiawatha Trail, that is very beautiful, with a number of railroad Bridges (tressels) and tunnels, including one that is over a mile long. Also, the Cour de Alene Trail is over 100 miles long and follows along the Cour De Alene lake, and across a railroad bridge that goes across the lake. Very beautiful. Thanks for showing this trail. It is on our bucketlist now to get to South Dakota with our e-bikes. Keep up the good work with your adventures.

The first tunnel you ride through is 1.66 miles long. There’s a shuttle bus to hall you back hill to the west portal of the tunnel if you choose not to bike all the way back

      Glad you enjoyed it! Whether you are buying new or used, make certain to give National Indoor RV Center a call to see what they can find for you.
      A subscriber just took us to dinner last week that saved about 30K by contacting them, and said the buying experience was a pleasure. Then you will be associated with a great outfit that has 5 service centers spread out across the USA,………which you will need. RV’S ARE ALWAYS FALLING APART.
      Call Angie Morell at the NIRVC Dallas Location 469-277-1330 or EMAIL at amorell@nirvc.com
      Tell her Mark & Sue sent you from Our Journey In Myles,………we will get nothing from this except the satisfaction that you will be in the best buying experience hands in the industry, rather than some places that could literally ruin your RVing adventure beginning!
      Angie is mostly in the Dallas location, but I would still start with her. SHE KNOWS HER STUFF.

    • @OurJourneyInMyles
      @OurJourneyInMyles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We DO NOT carry an extra battery. I recommend folks get bikes that take IDENTICAL BATTERY FORM FACTORS. That way, the person who uses the most battery can "swap batteries at the 50% point", and then both turn around and get back without taking that lower battery down to zero! Sue & I have Elux Brand, Malibu GT model ebikes. Blonde Linda also has an Elux. They have been trouble free. The GT Model has a GIANT 21Ah battery. Out butts wear out at about 35 miles in one day. Pat and Paul (his chain fell off in the video) have Pedego Ebikes. They like them, but will be replacing them. They are constantly breaking spokes! Hey Mark and Sue! I heard that you rode your recumbents on this trail previously! We have e-recumbent trikes that we will have with us when we’re in that area. I would have to say you will be OK. Their will be areas that are not ideal, BUT missing this trail would be a MAJOR error. Our 2 wheel recumbents were not real good for this because the tires where only 1.5 in front and 1.75 in the rear. But guess what? we did it twice with those bikes in one week when we were there. It is that good. Thanks for sticking with us,....

    Great video, and some really cool trails in South Dakota. Isn't traillink great? I love it, and use it all the time to find bike trails around Milwaukee and the rest of Wisconsin. If you ever get up north in Wisconsin you have to ride the Heart of Vilas County Trail System. It is awesome. It is all paved and 52 miles long, going through Mercer, Manitowish Waters, Boulder Junction, Sayner, and St. Germain. My favorite is the Manitowish Waters Bike Trail. It's 18 miles and runs through forests of pine trees, rivers, lakes, bridges, parks, and even a beautiful pavilion. It is the prettiest and best trail that I have ever ridden. I hear that from other people who ride this trail too. Check out you tube to see video's of this trail. It really shows the beauty. Also I posted a lot of pics on traillink of this trail since I have ridden it 15 times in the last two years.

      Sue & I have Elux Brand, Malibu GT model ebikes. Blonde Linda also has an Elux. They have been trouble free. The GT Model has a GIANT 21Ah battery. We can easily get 70 miles out of one charge in the flat terrain of Florida we are in now. In the Hills of the Mickelson Bike Trail, I would be able to count on and easy 50 plus! Out butts wear out at about 35 miles in one day. Pat and Paul (his chain fell off) have Pedego Ebikes. They like them, but will be replacing them. They are constantly breaking spokes! Brian's 21 speed hybrid ebike was the most problematic, mainly due to being transported outside. Even though its covered while traveling, it gets weathered. Not sure what the brand is.

    Sounds like I'll need some Claritin for the Mickelson trail. 🤧

    Hello, could you post a link for the helmet light you have on your sena? I checked your Amazon list but did not see it listed there. Thank you

      That light on my bike helmet is a 15 year OLD Ray-O-Vac head/helmet light I removed the elastic straps off of, and zip tied it to my bike helmet. It is discontinued, but if you google this, I found a similar one on Amazon: Rechargeable LED Headlamp, Super Bright 2500 Lumens Head Lamp with 3 Modes, IPX4 Waterproof Zoomable Headlamps Flashlight for Running, Camping, Repairing (2 Batteries, USB Cable Included) (I personally HATE rechargeables for something I need to depend on!) My light takes (3) AA

      @@OurJourneyInMyles it so important to have a light on your head at night. It's the first highest point drivers will notice. I also have the sena helmet and I plan on attaching the light on top as you have done. I thought what a great idea. I have some old ones too which are.battery only. I will buy a rechargeable one for other endeavors.. Thank you for responding and I really enjoy your videos!

    Do you carry an extra battery for your electric bikes?

    • @OurJourneyInMyles
      @OurJourneyInMyles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We DO NOT carry an extra battery. I recommend folks get bikes that take IDENTICAL BATTERY FORM FACTORS. That way, the person who uses the most battery can "swap batteries at the 50% point", and then both turn around and get back without taking that lower battery down to zero! This is Mark. Sue is visiting her daughter, grandson, mom, relatives and friends when she travels home. I prefer to stay with the rig and work on projects, videos and other things like staying up late and sleeping in!
