I have to thank you for inspiring me to book my very first Alaska cruise just now! I had been considering it for later this year and when I heard Chris mention Norwegian Spirit I called my agent to discuss options. I can only go in October so Spirit is off the table until 2024 but Sun is sailing 9 day itineraries RT Seattle. Stops in Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Victoria. I'm booked!

I only did 2 before the shutdown but since the restart, since November 2021 I've been on 17 including 3 Transatlantics. I try to go once a month. I hadn't done Alaska, though (even though everyone said "you have to do it once") and your mention of Spirit convinced me.
QUESTION: Discovery Princess Alaska itinerary 5/14...Room under "Retreat" (mini suite) on forward Lido Deck port side...is a room there going to be problematic for bumping and thumping from up on Deck 17?
July & August is very busy, especially August as some European countries pretty much all go on vacation so the ports are crowded and it’s very hot. Personally I find June & September the best months as good weather and not crazy busy in the destinations and prices tend to be better
My cruise with Oceania that I paid for in Jan has now drop it fares considerably. 3:27 This is our first cruise .. can u suggest a course of action to fare match. I have followed some of your advice and found it invaluable.
