My ex who I met in 2014 dedicated me this song after we went to our separate ways in 2017. My name is Sarah and he said this is the perfect song for us. We were so much in love but his addiction to alcohol was the cause of a toxic and sabotage relationship. He shattered my heart in million pieces and my heart still aching until this day. Now after 6 years he wants to be back in my life, he said he has changed. I don’t want to wait until another lifetime, he already found the strength to say/show me that he still loves me. It's not often that a musical group has so many songs that I listen to multiple times but with blue October I can name 3 to 4 songs that I listen to on a regular basis! Speaks volumes to their skill! I don't know enough about them as towards who writes the songs and such but I will say that Justin is very talented as is everyone involved in Blue October's success! I hope to continue hearing songs that tug at me! The emotion in "hate me", "fear" and this song how to dance in the rain!!!

@@Andrea_and_toby I can only guess assuming the person you speak of is in some way similiar to me. I believe people are hesitant to speak of anything which makes them emotionally vulnerable. When they do, you will not hear it repeated multiple times. Either they told you why it had to end and you did not understand. Or, they never gave you that answer.
I wish he didn't either... But only because my ex from like 8 years ago now is called Sarah and she's still the only person I want/will ever have.. I've just come across this song and it's destroyed me
