I love N 5 edt. I get fresh flower on my skin at dry down. Great for going to lunch or doctors appointments 😂😂 but my Coco Chanel EDT and EDP is my die hard go to. Fabulous for going out, evening events or date night with black dress and leather jacket and red lipstick. The smell of boss or money vibe. It’s my #1 staple for fall and winter season. Chanel 5 edt is year round. And very wearable. I love it. I just spritz N 5 hair mist on my hair. Love it!
Coco should definitely get more credit and wear in all three concentrations. I adore it too. 🖤💖
If you love Coco, you might want to try the pure perfume. It sells out and comes back on the website, but I’ve never had a problem getting it at the beauty boutique.

I love Chanel No 5 EDT. To me is the most like the Chanel No5 of the 70’s which was when I first started wearing No5. 1977 to be exact. It’s a happy, mood lifting perfume for me.
Le Lion on the other hand, is a whole other story. I bought it blind about a year ago and it immediately became exposure therapy for me because of the benzoin being so forward- at least to my nose. It’s a long story (lots of plaster casts in my childhood from dislocated knees & surgeries back when they used a strong coating of benzoin on the skin before casting).
I’ve only worn Le Lion a couple of times since I got it but I frequently sniff the bottle and I am happy to say I’m coming along and I’m really liking it now- I just need to start wearing it. Normally you go to therapy after you make a conscious decision to do so- but here, I was not expecting the therapist to show up on my porch inside a perfume bottle. But now I’m very glad that he did. Dr. Le Lion.

So happy your Le Lion is helping you to overcome sad memories of your childhood 🥰🥰🥰 Its especially good in warm summer months because the benzoin mellows down in the heat and you get the soft labdanum and incense with vanilla more prominent instead… its magical to my nose 🥰
I made it too a boutique and got to smell # 22, i love it but it totally reminds me of estee lauders white linen, like was estee inspired by 22, similar vibes. Awesome review even the 2nd time around ❤

Chanel Chance (the og one) is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. Only Armani Code for women I'd consider on par with my love for Chance.

I totally agree with you about N5 eau de toilette, it’s so unisex, going towards masculine side . The most difficult perfume for me to tame in the range! I want the make friends with it but for now can wear this beauty only in very warm weather! My boyfriend says it smells like a barber shop( foam+eau de cologne+some woodiness+a little bit of leather)))) in a good way!
No5 edt is very barber shopy style. I agree. He should try it too. Smells great on men too. 💖

Thank you Dacob! I always, always ENJOY your reviews of Chanel fragrances. As I watched, I was inspired to spray No 22 on one hand and Cristalle (EDT) on the other hand. What I found to my complete surprise, is that despite their seemingly opposite characters (of creamy, floral/smoky softness vs., chypre, citrus/ashtray sharpness, respectively) they shared a sweet floral accord which smelled very similar to me…they complimented each other beautifully! I did not expect that. They must share a note or floral accord. So that’s another reason to thank you for your video! EDIT: I just remembered that I sprayed Cristalle on the hand which I’d previously sprayed with No 5 edt. Perhaps that affected Cristalle’s character. Who knows!

I never get tired of listening to you talking about perfums... 😍😍😍Sycomore smells like safran on me, I don't get why 😅 I agree that number 5 in eau de toilette is absolutly stunning in this season, even in winter thow. It's both sophisticated and casual, gives me this push of self confidence that I need without screaming out loud I'm there... 22 is more on my red lipstick days ! 😊 I like your analyse about le lion, I still haven't bought it... I'm still hesitating. By the way, are you still considering revewing beige ? Love you ❤❤❤❤❤

N° 5 EDT is my absolute favorite concentration, and I agree that it is sooo beautiful for all seasons and in this weather. It's like a soft golden halo of sweat seeping out of the pores of angels. So pretty!
Also really enjoying Bois des Îles 🩷 Creamy spiced sandalwood which evokes the scent of gingerbread cookies, so luxurious and comforting!
I love both No5 edt and bois des iles but also Egoiste edt, which is a younger sibling to bois des iles 💖🥰

Most of my Chanel fragrances smell better as they age, but not no. 22. I’ve been on the fence about buying no. 22 because of the way it turns. I love it when it’s new, but there is something bad that happens to it on me once it turns orange. My mother wore it in the 70s. It had a lot of incense and not so much vanilla then.
I know exactly what you mean. Once it turns orange it becomes acidic bitter in the opening but if you can bare through it, the drydown is gorgeous again. 💖💖💖

Very recently discovered Sycomore, smells kinda minty to me but I don't mind it. I love its earthiness, might get a full bottle someday.
Its awesome. I love it to bits.
After trying a lot of other scents, thinking, smelling, trying again - CRISTALLE is still my favourite parfum after all.
Only, that I am now also in love with Gabrielle, Beige, Gardénia, Bel Respiro, La Pausa and No.22. :)
Hi Again!! I just checked the Chanel US website. They didn't have the larger refills for the #5 edt. They only had it for the #5 edp. However, they did have the twist and spray refills for #5 edt. The search continues. Maybe it's only carried in their beauty boutiques.
They might have discontinued the 50ml refillable edt in the States. It is still available in the EU though. Also, you can still get the regular No5 edt in 50ml non refillable in the States.

I learned something new today!! I didn't realize you could get a refill bottle of #5 eau de toilette. I'm guessing that only the Chanel boutiques or website carry it. It doesn't sound like something a regular department store would have. At any rate, I'm going to look into it. I don't have any of the eau de toilette right now, only the eau de parfum and the L'eau.
Chanel has refillable versions of No5 eau de toilette in 20ml and 50ml. 💖
