Like, even though it's 100% reasonable to think this, he's really got to realize that the Awakened One's second form doesn't gain strength from powers anymore. It's going to bite him one day.

When you read something once that you know will stay there for a while, you tend to not constantly check back in to see if it's there...
Robert Poole It would be underatandable if it was his first time again the awakened one, but he has used powers against the second form in the past.

At last, a run where Catalyst gets to shine in all its glory. 'Tis a happy day.
I mean it's still painful that he hates the idea of upgrading Catalyst, but it's still a happy day.
Dave Rabbit he skipped nightmare and it tore my soul apart
He also said that burst catalyst plus would be 6x the poison... But it's really 9x and that's soooooo good
he saw it as 6x because hes allergic to upgrading catalyst, Also 2x 2x 2x cata = 8x damage as doubling 3 times is going from 2 to 4 to 8... If he used the upgraded cata it would be 3 to 6 to 12...
Lord Sendo doesnt it triple the poison then triple it again? 3x3=9? Like if there was 5 poison, then there'd be 15, then 45?
if it tripled the poison and he used nightmare to get three of them then with 5 poison it would become 15 then 45 then 135 poison.

I absolutely love that NL doesn't realize getting catalyst just wins you the game. Kind of funny how he undervalues multiplicative powers.

Yes.
When a poison deck is played well, you're pretty much guaranteed to win. This run was very well done.
I was getting so triggered on the final boss fight when he was thinking that the boss gets strength off of power cards in his second form. Almost did a really cool turn but went away from it because he wouldn't actually look at the buffs that the Awakened One has
i was definitely thinking the same thing, i just saw that turn and paused the video to see if anyone else was thinking the same thing. I'm glad im not alone here.
51:45 Says he doesn't want to be a THICC DECK DADDY. Then proceeds to add almost every card offered to him for the rest of the floor. Going from 32 cards to 39 cards by the final boss. I love you, egg.

It's easy to say in hindsight, but the Awakened one's second phase doesn't have the "get strength from powers" buff. I know you don't usually read comments, but i think having made 59 episodes, you should know this. :)

Really great run, really fun run; I'm just really peeved that, with Tingsha+Bandage+Branch you didn't go for the ultimate zane of Storm of Steel on an 8 card hand.

NL, second phase the awaken one does NOT keep the passive "+2 strenght every time you play a power"
Does he ever realize that two Catalyst+ plays with Burst will multiply the poison by nine, not six?

Also this: At 1:06:39 he has nightmare where he could triplicate a zero cost catalyst+ for the next turn. He doesn't understand. That is THE DREAM that all silent players wish for.
I'm waiting for the moment NL realises that the awakened one loses his power strength buff when transforming xD

After all, any ability anywhere with the word 'double' in it has potential to be broken, basically by default. Exponents grow very, _very,_ fast.

Good run, NL. Once the Awakened One "awakens", he no longer gains strength when you play a power.
At one point you had the chance to either get 11 block with Survivor and discarding a card or getting 9 block with claculated gamble and you said "we'll get more block with calculated gamble insteat of survivor" :D damn NL do the maths correctly

A 10/10 deck has 2-4 flash of steel cards. Hit for 5dmg draw a card. Hit for 5dmg draw a card...

When the boss transform he no longer gets stronger from powers, just that you should know :D
nightmare->burst+->catalyst times 6, means poison times 64
wait, no burst is a skill as well...... so first burst+ doubles other two burst+, next one quintuples the skills after it, third one octuples.
So a catalyst played after that counts as played 12 times, which is 2^12, which is 4.096 (or 3^12= 531.441 in case of catalyst+.)
....its an unlikely play, but daaaaaaamn.
also the next skill still counts as played 8 times
Apocolo toth If you play 3 burst+ you only get 8 doublings on different skills. So the catalyst will only count as played twice. The better play would be Nightmare on catalyst (or somehow getting 8 catalyst in hand to expend all the burst stacks)
