    Not impressed with this video was hoping it would show how to pour a couple of basic designs. A little misleading.

      Hey Nate!
      This video is from a series 'Latte Art 101', and the previous videos in the series already did what you're asking.. there was a heart, tulip, rosetta and swan video and this was a video to tie it all in with some basics of latte art you also need to think about it.
      The algorithm chose to grab this one and skyrocket it to the top of search.. which I'm not mad about. If you look at my channel you'll definitely find all the content you're searching for. I'd suggest my Latte Art Bootcamp which I made more recently breaking down each basic pour, and also my new all in one video here with some tips and the basic pours in chapters:
      th-cam.com/video/qcsVk8DZFms/w-d-xo.html
      The thing is.. all of the things mentioned in this video are still relevant and important. I do understand that people want the quick 'how to' jumping straight to the results, but some theory behind how to pour is actually important if you want to pour consistently great art.
      Good luck on your journey.

      well, if you paid attention at the literal beginning of the video, you would have known that, plus you would have noticed that they also literally direct you where to go to learn latte art from their other videos. SO. What have we learned here? you don't pay attention and you relish in complaining.

    i'm a barista at starbucks, my #1 tip is don't get too in your head! let muscle memory take over. the first time i was able to do latte art was completely on accident- the day prior i dumped like 5 flat whites trying to get anything other than a simple dot. the next day, during a rush, i quickly poured milk for a random drink and didn't even realize i did the motions of making a heart until i went to put a lid on and noticed a perfect heart!!! my own heart was full!! not thinking too hard about it allowed me to be more free and fluid, which made all the difference. don't stress, it will come with time, just practice and take it easy! all love :)

    • @brewbudsclub

      Mainly you need to look for a jug that has a good spout which is symmetrical with the handle. Generally speaking the more expensive jugs have consistently good and symmetrical spouts, where as for cheaper jugs you might have to have a look through a whole bunch of them to find a good one.

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It just helps you create an angle where you can get the spout of the jug close enough to the crema to pour a pattern.
      If you'd like to hold it on the table as you pour, you can hold it on the edge of the table and tilt the cup while still sitting it on the table if that helps you?

    something important to take from this is he and others are artist. meaning; have acquired a skill due their ability. most will come to the conclusion that of a drive thru is more suitable for their inadequacy. The idea is that it is fun to try but not to try to have fun. It is discipline, patience, creativity and most of all committing to the art, and by reading a substantial amount of these comments is a lacking there of.

    It's okay if we used brewed coffee?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      brewed coffee won't have the same strength so while you may be able to pour some latte art, it will taste very milky when you drink it.

    what is the difference between the milk and the crema???

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crema is the small brown bubbles on top of the espresso. When you pour the milk carefully into the espresso shot, the crema should combine with the foam and sit on top of the drink (the brown surface of the coffee).
      Once you've done that, you can move your jug in closer to pour the white pattern on top of the coffee :)
      Hope that clarifies for you!

    Hi, I am still learning on the way. I am able to pour rosettas and tulips now. However, after i pour the first leaf of the tulip or pause after pouring a heart base, I could not continue with any "wiggle" patterns anymore, it seems too thick to pour, the next leaf i pour looks dense and small. is it an issue with my steaming or my pouring technique ?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a nespresso machine with a milk frothier that has presets is it possible to do latte art with these tools?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The milk frothers on nespresso tend to add a bit too much air and as a result the froth kind of separates out from the milk. If you can get your milk more like a wet paint consistency you might have better luck - try stopping the milk frother slightly earlier.
      Check out the 6 Week Latte Art Bootcamp on my channel for more tips on actually pouring the patterns :)

    What size cup/volume of espresso do people use? I’ve been using 150/170ml cups and with a double espresso I feel like I don’t have much room to work with?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a 150mL or even 170mL cup I'd definitely go with a single shot base. Not really much room in the cup with a double, and it would harder to create nice angles to work with.

      I can't remember specifically for this video as it was created such a long time ago. However for most of my recent videos in the last few years I've used my own coffee. Based in Australia, but the coffee is produced in most of the popular growing origins. As an example, my most popular milk coffee has beans from Colombia and Brazil.

    Do you have any tips with an aeroccino from Nespresso?.
    Also do you think one shot from a nespresso capsule is enough, to start pouring on?

    • @brewbudsclub
      @brewbudsclub  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had limited experience with the milk frothers from Nespresso. The one i tried heated the milk but when you went to pour it, the froth separated, so it was hard to get latte art going. I found it slightly better when I used the lower froth part, and stopped the heater early so the milk didn't get too hot.

      It's not a latte...... Real lattes don't have flat white milk. All the "art" you see is used for flat whites. Lattes do not have patterns on top. Anyone that tells you differently have be told something else because it looks pretty.....and it does look pretty. But sadly, not a latte.

    After seeing other videos about how to do this, I had to come back and agree with everyone that stated TOO MUCH talking. You need more coffee screen time and less you screen time if you are trying to present a video to teach. Just my take on your presentation, mate. How did you prepare the milk exactly, show us more. And you need more of the coffee going into the cup.
