In this video I highlight the biggest and best Sega home console games from 1987. The entire video is from the perspective of the PAL UK & Europe. So I hope you enjoy this video in all it's 50Hz glory. Also let me know your opinion on the RF shader preset being used. If this video get's a positive response in it's first week, I'll do 1988 next. I've got all the Sega episodes until 2002 planned out already, but don't want to invest time if nobody watches lol
What a nice little video you made. I think I just saw Wonder boy for the first time in over 30 years in 50hz pal mode. Ive grown accustomed to the emulated 60hz version. But something clicked in my head when I heard the music playback slower. Like the shader as well. For some reason I think it could be even fuzzier and saturated. Something about the strong colors of the Master system graphics makes me associate with that.
Haha that's awesome. Even though some folks crap on 50hz, it's still prefer it, mostly for nostalgia's sake. I'll work on the colour saturation for the next video (and the fuzziness too) 🍻
Really love this video, and i agree that your use of the box art on the side is great. Too many other channels leave the box art out, which is one of the most nostalgic aspects for me (as goofy as some of them may be 😂). The rf filter looks awesome as well, watching on a 77 inch oled. Please continue making these videos! Thanks!
Thanks for the support. As long as somebody's watching, I'll keep making them 🤣. I suspect interest in sega's earlier years is not as popular as the '90s era. Things will get interesting when we reach the Mega Drive 🍻
It would be really nice to hear some meaningful ways that gamers experienced 50hz, or, for example saw it in the wild back in the day and could compare it with 60hz. What a mind f£ck.

RC, it looks amazing. I still want that RF shader from the 1983: FC vs SG1K that you promised me 😢😢😢😢😢😢
@@isayasbashiri5371 oh man, I'm not sure I have that one anymore. I can remake it!!!
love the use of the side of the screen to show the box
That classic Master System box art deserved to be shown off. What were they thinking eh 🤣

Ooooh! Space Harrier, Wonderboy, Outrun, Alex Kidd, so many classics! Good times!
Hold on tight for 1988, so more bangers on the way!
Nice selection of games, dude!
Glad you think so. Any personal favourites in there? Or are you waiting until 1991?
Nice video! I just remembered they made a remake for Alex Kidd
Yes that's right. I think Wonder Boy also had a remake too
@RetroCrisis Oh I didn't know that, thank you 😂
I think it's called Wonderboy Returns or something
@@RetroCrisis Its Wonderboy 3 Dragons Trap ✌🏻️😎
this video is just perfect pure gold!
I kept having to remind myself this was 1987 only 😂 great list of games and I bought Outrun a couple of years ago after only trying it then!
Haha the list was originally slightly longer, but I think this encapsulates the key titles from the year
@ it’s a great list of classic titles but I kept thinking where’s Sonic and Streets of Rage 😂
Great video Crisis thanks for sharing.🕹👌🍀
Oooo the mighty master system 😍
That white maths paper boxart ❤️
@ bloody love it and some said to me it was boring
@@RetroRewind77 haha it's definitely iconic. I hated it as a kid. But it's certainly grown on my over the years 🤣
@ taste got better with age
Haha I hope so mate 😂
Only a few master system games sound good, I love a few and still play them.
I agree, the sound could have been better 🤣
Positive response.
🤣🤣 thanks, I appreciate it

Good idea for a video!!!
*Master System is better than NES & 4 colors more on screen making it 8!* 💡
i'm sincerely shocked at how many of the games were blatantly copied from NES. or is it because of the licensing difficulties? can't figure it out.
