    Just received mine today and I'm impressed! Love it's compact design and many features. I'm going to learn how everything functions on it so I'll be ready in case of another emergency that unexpectedly pops up like it did yesterday! I'm very happy with my purchase and glad I was able to find this one at a good price. Thank you for all of the info.

      According to my instructions.

      Continuously turn the hand crank at a speed of 130-150 RPM/min to generate power unit will be fully charged in 4 hours .
      One minute of cranking supports 20 minutes of light & 10-15 mins of radio usage at medium volume.””

    I have an emergency weather radio at home. It only comes on/makes noise when there is a weather emergency. Your radio came today and I like it a lot. Does the weather band operate like this, or is it always broadcasting the weather?

      @@MegaBpop hello, this was my exact question too but I would have said, 'please?'. I hate bad mannered people! Thank you so much because I have very painful bones and I didn't want a radio that had to be wound up for ages! I could manage one minute, without too much pain afterwards. I don't intend to use the radio outdoors (I'm 100 % bed bound!) so that's why I didn't want a more expensive radio because I only want it for 1.light and 2. To charge my phone. We recently had a short power cut and luckily, I had already thought to have, a battery operated lamp, it's only JML but has a hook and it is about 2 hands length and light, so I have it hung up on the hand grab hook, over my bed. It was only when I had no electricity for the mini radio, on the TV table, by my bed, did I get a bit anxious, as I live alone and the phone keeps me company (I have a few tvs just didn't yet bother to hang one in my room!) so I'm used to music, radio plays, movies and audio books for company. Only then, did I think of an emergency phone. I settled on the fos one because it looks light, it's small (my dexterity is poor so I rather smaller items that are light, even the likes of talcum powder, are easier for me to hold now. I find a can of coke heavy and a normal mug, so I had to buy fine bone china ones instead!) plus I liked how it has a reading lamp too. I really wagted the Midlands er210 model radio but I is not on Amazon UK. It is the smaller version of the er 300 or I have seen it called the er 310 too? It too, gave about 10 mins energy for just 1 minute of cranking (that was my main concern!). I'm Irish so we have to use Amazon UK, we don't have the population to justify our own warehouses. I guess, I could use other Amazons but it's crazy costly! Oh, may I please ask you this please? - I get the idea of a power bank but I want to know, the fos has one and how often do you have to charge it, is it removable or built in? Also, for my needs, is it going to stay charged in the radio until I use it and is it safe to leave it in the phone? I don't want it to leak and if I put in the AAA batteries too, how long can I leave them in it, before they leak or rust (from the leaked acid)? I don't want to have to fumble around, when I want the radio in the next power cut. I will kero it, in a small pouch near, in a plastic box on my bed but I want it ready to use and not have to fiddle trying to put on batteries (I will have my other torch for light mind). Lastly, I'm very bad at using technology, I'm only 48, but how do I set the phone up, so I know if it is using the regular batteries, I add, or the power bank and I don't get the ion lithium thing at all. Can you please advise me, that's if you're not ready to KILL me, by now?! I really miss my younger brother, as he used to teach me all these things and yes, he used to think I was dumb lol (I do have a degree, 3 diplomas and a few certificates, just not in technology and computers lol so I'm not stupid but you know, how brothers love to tease their sisters!) Thank you. Please stay safe, God bless and much love from Ireland. I also, wish you an early merry Christmas too. Kind regards, Mathona in Ireland xx

  • @cjbarlow61

    I love the compact design and features. It's worth the price. The only thing I would do differently is the hand crank, instead of a hand crank that's awkward to turn at the required rpms to generate current, a 3" rubberized wheel that you could spin against another surface would be easier

    • @silverrain99205

    You didn't talk about the short wave. I just bought this radio and I only get one station with so much static I can't listen to it. Should this radio have some sort of extra antenna to bring in more stations? I guess I need a more expensive radio with short and long wave radio. I got a good price on this radio, so it's better than nothing. If it takes days to charge by solar though, I'm not loving it. A hand crank radio is great for emergencies...The sound is good for the regular stations. SW not coming in so far, solar---days to charge---- :( weather band ok. Not a useless radio but I'm looking to find bigger and better. This is will be a back up when I get a better emergency radio. Ty 4 your video. It was helpful.

      Hello, I do believe the answer to your question is in 3:55 of our video. The radio does have an antenna, which can be extended to tune your frequency and will reduce the static noise. We do have new upgraded versions which you will find here: fospower.com/emergency-supplies
      Hope this helps! :)

    Does the radio have to be charged in order to use the Triple A batteries to turn the radio on because I still can't get the radio to turn on

    • @Fospower
      @Fospower  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Shawn Fay,
      When you use AAA batteries, you need to turn the switch to the AAA side. It's a good idea to charge the Li-ion battery as well, so you can test if the radio is functioning by AAA and Li-ion batteries. If neither power source can make the radio function, it might be defective. Let us know if you have question.
