Another Banger of a video! I'm not sponsored by MVP but my Mids and Fairways are 80% MVP. Mids...Pyro, Hex, Fuse, Uplink - Fairways... Resistor, Volt, Insanity, Crave, Maul
Thank you! 🙏 Since going open bag, I was wondering which company I would gravitate to. MVP is definitely making a big splash! Especially in the putter and Mid slots.
Detour is money. My US mid of choice right now. It goes farther than any other mid I’ve ever thrown which lets me throw it soft to hit a gap and still get solid distance. Even from someone who throws mostly deep discs the detour feels great
The origin is what made me want an understable mid. Right as I looked into some, the detour came out and I decided to go with it. Definitely a little more turn than the origin but it's now, by far, my favorite disc. It's so good for hyzer flip gaps and riding the turn the whole flight.
My hunch is this is an over-molded TSA Mana. The wing & flight path looks identical. The Mana also comes in MVP’s eclipse and regular neutron plastic for something a little more consistent.
Throwing both, the Detour has a bit less high speed stability. Detour is easy to hyzer flip, while the Mana for me is very neutral. Holds the line I put it on. Perfect for a one disc round!!!
Replaced my Fuse cause it doesn't burn over even at higher power. For my arm speed (midranges go 320-340ish for me), flat I get generous turn but typically it will stable out just at the very end of the flight (I do fan grip all mid's though, so maybe that makes a difference?). It is an absolutely gorgeous flight and feel the flight numbers are exactly right.
I agree that these are very close to the Meteor. Love the flight of the Meteor overall, but the grip… some days it feels fantastic and other days it feels so foreign.
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf yeah I either spit on my hand like Ricky or use sweat off my head. I don't like esp I prefer big z from discraft. It doesn't get flippyer after one throw like esp does

I really am shocked how much glide this gets with such a slim profile! Definitely one of the furthest flying mids on the market!

@@theELiTEboarder happy to hear it has been working for ya! IMO, best new mid of the year!
Like an uplink but for bigger arms who cant throw the uplink. This disc can do a lot

Absolutely love the gyropalooza detour! ❤❤❤
One of my favorite discs this year!
As always excellent video! Gonna have to pick one of these up!
Let me know how it works out! Personally I can’t speak highly enough about these!

Fan grip is the way to go! I personally do the modified stacked fan grip for all my throws.
My detour gets thrown the most with slight anhyzer up into the air to hold the long lines my forehand can’t reach
So good for those lines! Just enough stability to hold and not turn into a roller.
Looks very similar to my meteor other than my 182g meteor is good in the wind and i can't 4hand it like you did the detour.
Tunnels gaps and consistency
Z meteor is little more stable
