You can definitely make a sweater with this stitch pattern but i will first suggest you to try working on smaller projects first just to have a little practise. Once you are comfortable working and understanding this stitch then you can definitely work on a sweater easily.

Hi there! If we want to make the bag a bit bigger, how do we keep increasing the width? Do we basically follow the same pattern of doing one double crochet in every stitch other than doing two double crochet in the stitch between the previous rounds two double crochet?
Hello there! So you basically need to increase the rounds. So now in Round 4 we are workinga repeat in this manner - 2dc, 1dc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2dc, 1dc in each of the next 2 stitches.
( 2dc, 1dc in next, 1dc in next,2dc in next , 1dcin next , 1dc in net)
Now if you want to increase the round so in next round you should be working a repeat like this - 2dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 stitches, 2dc, 1dc in each of the next 3 stitches
(2dc, 1dc in next, 1 dc in next , 1dc in next, 2dc in next, 1dc in next, 1dc in next, 1dc in next)
In Round 6 if you are increasing you’ll work 2dc, 1dc in each of the next 4 stitches
So in every increase Round , you’ll be increasing the 1dc count. And since the rounds are working in multiple of 12 , every round that you would be increasing you will have 12 dc more than previous round so then in Round 5 you should have a total of 60 Double crochets.
Round 6- 72 dc
Round 7- 84dc
Tons 8-96dc
Round 9- 108dc
Round 10-120dc

Hoe many skiens of yarn total did you use for the green and orange so i know how mych to buy?
So I used Red Heart yarn and it hardly took me 30-35% skein of Orange and 10-20% of green yarn

i’m currently working on this tutorial, but mine just looks flat and scalloped… do you think once i get to the end it will pull together into a bag? or it there anything i can do to hold it upright and make it into a bag? because right now it just looks like a giant coaster (i’ve also done 3 rounds of pumpkins so far)
Hi there, it will pull together once you’ll pull the strings , it will get snitched and will definitely take its shape.
are you talking about pulling the stitches at the end /top of the bag?
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I keep ending up with two short on each row of the green bottom part 🥴 I ended up trying it with a classic magic ring but it’s still happening. Not sure if you have any tips!
Oh ok, so what I am understanding here is you don’t end up having 24 dc in Round 2 instrad you are having 22 dc , right?
So if that’s the case, then I think you might be working 2 double crochet at the start of every round in two different stitches OR you might not be working 2 double crochets in the last stitch. So when you finish your first round, work a slip stitch in between(on the top) the first three chains and the first Double Crochet. This way you won’t get confused.
