As you well know, Dorian: I grew up in Ohio, 30 some miles North of North Canton where THE Hoover brand evolved from a Mr. Spangler, janitor for a retail establishment... Spangler was a cousin by marriage to the Hoovers... I do remember well working for a type of retailer now WELL out business because of stores like Walmart/ASDA, they were known as Catalogue Showrooms; Obe would search the sales floor and/or catalogue for an item/or items, write the SKU number of the item down on an order form and turn this order in at the back of the store where nice guy young men would fulfill the orders for you... The store in which I worked carried all of the local stock of the Hoover Company, as well as the British Juniors!!!! I always found the Juniors quite intriguing though never did attempt to use the ones on display in the store at the time... Mores the pity!!! Sorry to ramble on..... Guessing I must be wretchedly BORED, and hopefully, not BOORISH... XXX

Yes I agree l love the sound and look of this wonderful machine! Original hand grip and pink flex just perfect , the bag is a good match too! This video must have taken a great deal of effort to put together! 👏👍🤗😘

Could you make a 30 minute video of you hoovering with this little beauty. No talking, just lovely lovely chills. 😍 I have been searching for this exact sound for 34 years. I used to fall asleep virtually instantly when my mother used to do the hoovering when I was a child.
Hi Jason, I need to fit a replacement motor into it this year and then I can do a simply vacuuming video with it. You’ll definitely see it at some point this year my friend.

🤣, my little Ewok! From fur ball to pug in one sitting 😂😘. That poor junior, the fur on the inside looked like it had been spun, but I’m glad it managed to finish off the job and tidy up the remainder of the mess. X
I do so wish I had one of them I would have put the hose on the front and sucked!! the biggest clumps of fur up with a hose tool then vacuumed the rest up bless that hover junior it dune a fantastic job
For a shady old lady it was lovely. Dirty fans are never a fan 🤣 of big clumps of fur, but still, it finished off the mess a treat 😘
I had the same problem after shearing the same type of dog, using a 1012 junior
My Hoover Turbo U2798 soon sorted the mess no problem

@@HooverLux the 1012 died years ago, only have the bag/brushroll/bumper strip to put on ebay one day .
Still have the turbopower and a 1104 junior both main day to day cleaners as they pick up all the sand we bring home from the shore

Hi, do you find the suction is affected in any way using the HEPA bags instead of paper?
To be honest no, The suction is still the same or even better to be fair because the pores on the heap bags still breathe better that just paper.

It’s definitely a classic. I have enough sores to make another one, that will be a bespoke one for a friend.
@Excelsior C, actually we DID get them here in the USA. Hoover imported some of them from the UK, sometime in the ‘70s I think, and called them Lightweight Uprights. I had one myself several years ago and made a video of it: th-cam.com/video/x2JrWsJNJOQ/w-d-xo.html.
Ah yes! I’ve seen some when I was in the states and also someone “Jeremiah” my friend and fellow TH-camr recently got one. The out bags had poppers and not a zipper, but apart from that they are identical. Love it!!!!!!!!!
HooverLux you’re absolutely correct, and because of those poppers (or as we call ‘em here, snaps) changing bags on them was a pain in the nether regions! I was very fortunate to get my hands on one of the “Dirtsearcher” models from the UK, which does have a zip on the bag: certainly makes bag changes so much easier. (And yes, I still have my Dirtsearcher - no plans whatsoever to part with it!)
I wouldn’t part with it either! I’d have thought the snaps would have made it easier 😱, but I’ve never tried the snap version. I may need to get myself just an American bag and have a go of one. I’ve just finished the 8 part refurb video series on a DirtSearcher, today was the full house demo video! Wow! I can’t wait for you to see it.

Do you mean the outer cloth bags? They are like hens teeth, this machine took 5 donor machine purchases just to make this one good one. If you mean the dust bags, then they are just fake Sebo x series bags I buy on eBay.

I love the look and sound of these old girls but it does seem to struggle a little. I do hope to own one some day but anyway thanks for another great video mate. I see your tattoo on your ankle and want one so here is my challenge for you. If and when you come to my side of the world I will get one with you. I am scared but with you by my side I will do it. Lol.
Poor ole lady, she did as good as she could, but dang! that was a look of fur. I know the tattoo I want, so yes, definitely 😘
